Nothing is secure, Shijunko hasn't been officialy named as the chosen one, just because it is the character from Konquest that doesn't means he is the chosen one. As for Kabal we don't really know what is his excuse for returning, so we'll have to wait.

I HIGHLY doubt that he'll be the chosen one i mean he is a great character but i dont htink it is his time even though they said there will be a completely new chosen one on board.

And we will get to see the chosen one most likely in the opening FMV becuase theys aid they were making it MUCH cooler. So he OR she has to be somewhere.

Kabal was a chosen one in MK3, the Elder Gods chose him as one of the souls to protect in MK3 to defend the Earthrealm. Its not the same kind of chosen one in Mortal Kombat Deception.

If I remember correctly Kabal said that he was one of the few chosen warriors that protected Earth during Kahn's invasion. I don't think chosen one in terms of future MK champion. Just one of Earth bound figthers that were left to fight.

There are different chosen warriors that do deeds for the Elder Gods. In the original Mortal Kombat, Liu Kang was given the title of the chosen one to represent the Shaolin teachings in the tournament and prevent Outworld from taking over Earthrealm.

In Mortal Kombat III, The Elder Gods had protected the souls of different warriors from Shao Kahn. When Outworld invaded they were to be the ones to retake Earthrealm and restore order between the two realms. That is what a chosen one was in Mortal Kombat III.

In general, I think a chosen one is a warrior who is given an order to carry out an important task from the heavens. Mabey in this game, Scorpion may be a chosen one?

Anywho, I'm really intersted to see Kabal's story. Considering he had major issues with Kano's clique, the fact that Kano is now gone (but Kira...) makes Kabal's return a bit of a mystery. Besides, I thought he was dead...

I would assume Shujinko or Sub-Zero will be named the Chosen One. However Scorpion is also a possibility (hence his meeting with the Elder Gods). For some reason, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be Darrius though. Anyone else reminded of Riddick by this guy?

I hope Kabal isn't the "Chosen One", I would be deceive, cause I never liked him... I don't like his look, I don't like his moves, I don't like his story... I hope for him that he will have interesting fighting styles, or I will play never ever with him... Personally, I trhink that the Chosen One could be Subzero or Shujinko...
