I worked for target, hardly as a manager, but as a person on the floor in the electronics department.
We received games, movies, what have you, early all the time, however barcodes were never locked out due to release date. We just had a "buddy system" in place that wouldn't shelf the items until the official day..... we never listened though...

we always follow the "street dates" for games... trust me i tried to talk my store manager into it, but he wouldn't go for it. its really up to the guy running the store as to weather or not the game is put on the shelf when we get it or when the street date says too

I'd offer my boss like a 100 bucks plus the cost of the game just have it now haha, i'd be going nuts in your position.

Wow! Wal-mart is pretty good. Cause here at EB games we don't get it till the release date.

I get mine on Monday or before that day. I have some connections so I can get it then. But I might get it soon. Even today because my EBgames actually opens and sells the games WHEN they get them. Also if you preordered it then they call you on the phone. I am safe to say that I will get the game before the 4th.

yeah when i worked at best buy. the same thing always happend, it depends on the mngr some can be dicks some dont give a shit.

um, if i can't buy it i think my store manager would get real pissed if i started opening the merchandise and played if for free... but i thought about it lol.

Well I tell you one thing, I live in Illinois, in a suburb of Chicago, and Midway is based in Chicago, so if they made it to the next state over (Indiana) they may have likely made it here.
So I's gonna go to Wal-MArt and see if I can't swing a copy from a stupid old-lady clerk. Telling an employee no is one thing, you know them, you hold their job in your hands, they can't fight back. Telling an unruly customer no is another thing, we're -always- right, hehehe, and I intend to be.

Wicked.I guess best buy got their copies today here as well.My buddy works in the dvd/electronic dept. and says the same.They just got their shipment in at about 9:30.He called me all like MAN WE GOT IT IN!!If he can get a copy would be wicked.

Time to dress in my black jumpsuit and work on some breaking and entering. Best Buy is like...my second home.

Oksy, I called Wal-Mart, and they said they didn't have it, but ya'know, that's just what they -say-, so I'll stop in and check later, cause I need to go to Sams Club to get my tires remounted, so I'll have an hour to kill anyway.
But for now, I guess I'll call Best Buy... haha.

I dont work today but first thing tommorow i'll check to see if we got it in yet(I live in Chicago).
And if we do I plan on buying it and playing it tommorow night.
