I see what you are saying justycist, but Havik's chest thing is different. I'm not sure if I can believe this, though I hope it's true. Even though I have it for PS2, I'm gonna buy it for Gamcube if they have extra characters.

for once the cube gets something exclusive and everyone else goes nuts cause they cant play it...well cry me a river...third party software didnt sale very well for nintendo but after the latest surge of popular third party games for hte cube and more advertising by them it doesnt suprise me that they get exclusive material...if you have the ps2 and xbox versions good for you. and for us that only have the cube and can only afford the cube and having to wait another 5-6 months for the game that everyone else has already beaten pretty much it is well worth it.

Kahn in that picture is obviously real regardless of what anyone wants to say. The question is SU or Gamecube exclusive? If it's GameCube exclusive I'm not going to throw a shit fit like other people, I'd be more angry if it's an SU because I'll want to know how the hell to unlock him. I don't know what all's hidden in Deception, all I know is I have the feeling there's more than meets the eye. It may not be anything spectacular, but I think there are some things there no one's found yet. Call it gamer's tuition.

Why would a magazine bother faking an image for an article?

Especially from an article that doesn't talk about MK, but on the guy who wants to ban selling violent games to kids.
N e way, I have sent Kombat the image, and this is his response:
"While it LOOKS like a fake (the cape doesn't look like a cape at all, but rather, like the wings of the Dragon King) and it's suspicious that the fighting styles has been cropped off, we'll check this with Midway anyway."
We'll find out if it's real or not in due time. There are many factors that make this pic real, such as his perfect shadow, the stance he is in (no one in MKD has that stance), the mask (apart from the back), his shoulder plates, Mileena's head looking UP at Kahn, and, as what Kombat said, the removal of the HUD.

I don't understand why Midway would give an exclusive picture like this for a magazine article about banning violent games such as MK:D. My guess is that they did an image search in Google and put the first picture they found, not knowing that it was fake (or a super unlockable), in their article.

It is most likely real. It seems that way to me.
Off the subject, shang, you can't say that boon sucks because on another thread, I saw you saying you will sell your gamecube even if it had more charcaters... just correcting you..

Well, you never know Midway didn't need to make a new model, they could have just edited off of other characters. just because it has parts of other characters doesn't mean it's made by someone else. The majority of the model is 100% different.

The character model and the skull part of the helmet is the only thing that is not taken from someone. Most of it is from Onaga. It wouldnt be to hard if u had the model and pics of onaga from a cheat device.The whole pic looks weird and like it dosnt fit. If its real (GC or all 3 for a SU) I aint to happy they just used onagas stuff to make him....

thats totally fake. he has all of Onaga's armor plates on and stuff. i could make that fake in my sleep. lol. plus.... u would think some one like Shao Kahn would have his own stage instead of being at the Yin Yang Island (no way that would be his stage). and i dont think Boon would even dare to pull a stunt like that any ways. hes one of the most popular MK characters there is and if they pulled that stunt then id only imagine thousands of MK fans no more playing MK ever again. although either way i really want to get a GC any ways and hope too some time when i finally get a job and kinda planned on getting MKD for the GC even tho i already have it for PS2. unless the 2 extra things in the GC version arent any thing i really care for. but i dont even play my PS2 online cuz for some reason with my set up ive been unable to sadly. but i maybe buy MKD for GC as well when i finally get a GC if there is really good extra stuff in it. and then sell my PS2 copy.

Better believe it! I wouldn't be surprised if they did rush Khan. I mean afterall, he looks like Khan, has metal like Khan, is probably a secret character and not a boss, and this IS the Gamecube version of the game that comes out like 2-3 months after the PS2/X-Box version. I wouldn't be the LEAST bit surprised if this is infact real and they DID rush Khan, along with along exclusive characters and arenas. And um yeah......this isn't a perfect world. I don't know why ya'll are picking out every little detail about it. It's a newspaper. They make mistakes. Get over it. Anyways, my bet on the matter is that I bet the picture is real for several reasons, which I'm sure have been stated before me. 1. It seems as if Mileena is look up at his face, not his chest. 2. Havik's middle thingy looks almost like a ninja star, Khan's looks to be a skull (duh). 3. The mask. 4. The fighting style. 5. Why would a magazine print a FAKE image when normally I would think that the people who make the game supply the images. If this IS a fake, then someone has WAY too much time on their hands. But I still think it's real. I also wouldn't be surprised if we see Fujin and Stryker appear and they look exactly the same as from the older MK's. Just watch.

like i said... the magazine there is a fake as well. who ever made that fake of Kahn also made that magazine. duh. or if that is a newspaper then still its totally fake. u cant get pictures like that printed that clearly in a newspaper. i worked at the World Newspaper for a while so i should know.

Lets see you take a pic of a magazine, write a WHOLE story on Mortal Kombat and Midway, and then add a fake with Baraka fighting....say....Kai in the Beetle Lair. And I suppose that looks to be a magazine and I just flipped through my magazine and the pictures look clear to me. I also took a pic with my digital camera and the pictures came through clear. *gasp* What a coincidence.
