Actually, that's not entirely what happened. What happened was that a user DID post about what the final secret was. If it had JUST been one normal user posting it, I wouldn't have given it the time of day. HOWEVER, Mobster4Christ then said it was true, based on the anonymous source we have been referring to. I know said source as well and that source confirmed it to me as well. Again, I'm sorry if you don't believe me, but those people who know me (especially on the chat room) would tell you I'm not in the habit of making up BS stories just to gain publicity. Even if I was, don't you think I'd pick something better than a version code? And as far as the reason I am protecting the source... it is AT THE SOURCE'S REQUEST. As I've said before, you have NO IDEA how much I want to tell you guys who it is. However, I cannot.

Again, I'm sorry you don't believe me. I don't like being accused of making BS up, however. As I said before, anyone who knows me at all will tell you that I simply do not play that game. If someone conclusively proves that the last secret is something OTHER than a version code, I will gladly print a retraction and apologize. Until then, we are standing by our position that the version code is the last secret.

There's some source I have that said to me the same thing, it IS the version code (and it's not meant to be a secret), but he doesn't know how to do it, he doesn't remember (I'm almost sure is the same one you guys talk about). And what he said was last night when I asked again...

There's one guy he mentioned could know how to do the version code, so you all will do it and be done; I don't have this guy's mail, hope Scott or Darque have it: he's last name is Garcia (I think), Paulo is the key

I know some puzzles as well. However, please, try him out, I'd do it if had the e-mail, what I say is real.

ok here is my theory about it.....

maybe the person that started the version code rumor should have their asses kicked....he/she said they found out the final secret..he/she claimed it was a lame ass version code...he/she has no proof of it existing...he/she gave no information of the button combination, where to do the combination, or any idea of a combination...so aparently he/she has fooled everybody that believes a version number exists....he/she has made everybody believe something exists without showing any proof, just word of mouth..not even word of mouth, just something typed...i mean i could type something, say its from a reliable source, and everybody who believed the version number would believe that too....so check this out, a reliable source told me the version number is bullshit.

HOw:I heard of this rumor if you get a draw on Drum arena you can fight the biggest Drum player well i found out you cant do that on 2 player and not on easy on one player but if you get a draw on max at drum arena you will fight a huge ninja with 6 arms named steam.He had no fighting styles listed.I beat this steam guy and The globe ended early a video played that showed Noob saibot fighting No one.But doing fighting mtions any way it says you HAVE completed the final Kombat enjoy your reward.To pick steam you push DOwn on reptile and x.to slect Rain its up on Shang and x

Nah, I bought the game 'cos I've been a Mortal Kombat fan since 1991 when it was in test versions at the arcades (hell I was one of the first in line to reserve my copy of MK1 back in the day - probably still have those stupid trinkets that came with the reservation pack). One major thing among many that makes MK stand out are the secrets - this time around all we get are coffins in a crypt (not really that much of a secret), stage select, and two really stupid hidden characters (if there are any I forgot it's because they aren't too memorable). Oh not to mention a bunch of 'we could've put it in if we had more time' like more finishers. The fact that Boon told us there was a FS as a blatant lie to keep us playing his game was just cheap. I hope he doesn't pull this again. MK went uphill with MK2 but dropped significantly since then in my opinion. Sorry if this sounds like a rant or grumpy, but I'm not having much of a good day 'cos I found out I'm being evicted w/ the rest of my neighbors from my apartment bldg. w/ no notice and it's a breach of contract (now I gotta deal with taking my bitch ass landlady to court as well)...ugh, I am so tired...

even if there was a last secret they know it wouldn't give them a profit. i mean what non mk lover would buy game just for the game just for the sole sake of finding a stupid secret!

It's the imagination that says th FS may be anything. We all feel gypped, because we were shorted on the normal goodies we've come to expect from the MK series. The imagination makes us hope and pray that the last secret has a redeeming quality that will bring it up to par with the other MK titles.
Them not saying anything confirms it. Really, as many people that worked on the game the fabulous secret has not leaked, midway is actually a spy network cause their good.
I remember they got mad at us on fight night cause we were more concerned with stage fatalities and secrets, and they wanted to talk about the gameplay.

yeah well bunk the "gameplay", i mean it's super tight but i woulda rather had a game like mk2/3, same graphics would be fine if they woulda just added MAD hidden people, and ones i've heard of preferably (sp? im' smokey). i miss my uppercut, roundhouse, ermacs, noobs, and all that fun stuff.
