What would you like to see your character do when you hit the "block" button to block an attack from his/her opponent?

We've seen Batman cover himself with his cape.

Here are other ideas:

Superman- stick out his chest like we've seen him do to stop bullets
Sub Zero- create an ice block to avoid projectiles
Scorpion- summon fire from the ground
Flash- move his molecules so fast that the projectiles kinda go thru
Shang Tsung- soul shield
Green Lantern- green energy field
Kitana- use her fans
Jax- use his metallic arms
Joker- use his cane (the one we saw in his render)
Catwoman- use her whip

I personally would not want anything special or over-the-top. Just the classic block pose.

The cane and the whip might be pushing the friendship, and probably highlight the weaker points, but I like it! The more individuality and custom characterization they can get into the animations, the easier it'll be to take MK seriously!

I know arms would be my choice over an inanimate canopy of sturdy, flexible material. The arms I use to fight are definitely the best plan! Give 'em hell!

scorpion = wall of fire for

sub zero = wall of ice

jax = well his arms

kitana = fans

superman = the cape

I'd have a more ready looking stance, not a block stance like always. Maybe a natural looking stance change, like idle animations. Nothing instant, so you don't see twitching if a player taps block fast.

Have the block animations happen when actually blocking something. Like how it works with games using Back or DB to block.

Of course I haven't read the comics. I don't like Batman...and if Batman is Jesus then..well screw it this is gonna lead down to a road not worth walking on.

Maybe Batman's cape move could reflect projectiles.

As for Batman's block I suggest he uses Robin as a meat shield.
