I dont see a problem with it. Its not like homosexuality inflicts any kind of harm on your fighting skills or on your endurance of hardhsip. If you would be kind enough to stop writing stuff like that (homosexuality = feminine staging and build) maybe we could continue? Thank you.

I am all for the idea. It would be so grotesque that would conmpletely set it into new dimensions instead of the fucked stereotypes MK is based upon. Well, some of them are archetypes, but this would completely rewamp the aproach for a character. This would have relevance in plot terms but not on actual gameplay. And who needs a gameplay when there is nothing to fight for? Test your efficiency in your work too/instead if thats not the case.

And as a footnote for Miks47: judging from that post, I can say that some of the gay visitors on MKO are more man than you have shown yourself to be in one post. But thats only one post, ne'er enough.

Probably because the "homosexuality is not right" mentality, much like racism, is born out of bigotry and ignorance. You wouldn't shit all over somebody for taking a racist to task, so why do it to people who do the same to those who say that "homosexuality is wrong"?

Anyway, as for gay characters... I don't know. I could see Jade maybe having feelings towards Kitana but that's really doubtful since they probably view eachother more as sisters than anything.

I figured some people might get a little heated over that. It wasn't my intention to insult anybody, I don't mean to gay bash at all and I am not trying to start some kind of debate, or come across as an ignorant asshole. So if anyone was offended I apologize. Got a little carried away before, I just fail to see what this would accomplish as far as Mortal Kombat is concerned. Can you honestly say that a gay character would contribute ANYTHING to the storyline. This issue has no place in this game. Pointless, look at the controversey already, people need to chill and leave this for somewhere other than Mortal Kombat.

Story seems to take precedence in MK over the actual fighting. So if you're going to have a good story, you need to have interesting characters. Addressing a character's sexuality is one way to get that interest.

How the fuck is adding a gay character or making one gay "poisoning" the game? How is it "copying the Japanese"? We've been putting gay people in our fictional entertainment for just as long. There are gay comic book characters, there are gay characters in books. I guess we're somehow copying the Japanese with Brokeback Mountain.

Please. If you're going to even try to argue a side, make sure you know how to do so with valid points.

If a character turn out to be gay, is not like is going to change everything on MK. I think it would be a just a little part in his story and that's it. I mean, we are in the 21st century; is not like people are going to be in shocked if a video game character is gay.
