Yeah I saw that, but at least she wasn't trying to fight in it. She was being a lifeguard at a beach which requires a swimsuit so she can go request people in the water. There's a difference between having to wear a swimsuit to swim in and wearing one to fight in. The first makes sense and the other is just stupid.

cant really say i agree or disagree w/ u,but when u said kitana is better then sonya in mkda.is kinda not true.i myself am a kitana fan.in mkda i think sonya has a slight edge over kitana,not a hugh 1 but a slight one. to answer ur question i would be happy if they just add kitana and sonya. best two females in mk history.they should never be left out of a game.just like sub-zero and scorpion.

danadbab your absolutely right in saying that Kitana has to be played more of a defensive character, no doubt about that. She by no means sucks like others are saying, you just have to get used to her style of play and then she is quite effective.

However, I have to disagree with you implying that Kitana, in DA, is on par with Sonya. Not that it's Kitana's fault, Truth said it best: Sonya is one of the most overpowered characters in DA, she is simply devastating from Tae Kwan Do. Don't get me wrong Kitana is very good, but in DA she simply would stand no chance against a good Sonya player.

kool..hopefully the mkd team adds kitana and sonya to the game..u guys r prolly right,but until i get proven wrong i wont agree what i mean by "provening me wrong" is we meet up online and kick some butt vs each other...we'll prove the other wrong and post it up here the loser must cry..lol

MK has always had a few females, so more wouldn't be a problem and as someone who prefers to play as females, I'd be happy. However, the number isn't important. The palyability is! I think MKD could do with a couple more female characters. I'd have loved to see Nitara and Frost back, two of the best MKDA newbies, imo. Much as I love her, I think Kitana does need to miss a game, and would have preffered Jade to Tanya. But, I've got Li Mei and Mileena back, and have high hopes for Kira, so far so good.

I disagree about the women in MKDA mostly being weak.

Men are generally (not always) physically stronger women, but it takes more that brute strength to be a fighter. I rather have someone with skill, speed and brains over a musclebound moron who doesn't even know if his shoe laces are tied or not.

Thanks dude. It just annoys me that many think the females in fighting games are rubbish! They are superior to the men in every way imo! Plus, they are more unique.

Too many take the for granted and underestimate their abilities. It is that reason which I hold responsible for the disliking of Jade and Tanya in MK as both are hard to fight against! That is a testament to their abilities imo. I can use both well and they are deadly when used correctly.

tgrant.. yeah tanya was a very good fighter in mk4.. she was the female i choose over sonya.. i dont know but after mk 1 i never liked sonya again,weird..i am glad tanya is coming back in mkd i always thought her moves were more suited for a 3d fighter..cant wait to play as her,they better leave all her moves alone!!!!

Agreed! If they mess with my precious Tanyas special moves I'll be really pissed off! I loved them all!

Sorry about that, I'm just tired of some people automatically assuming that all women are weak either in real life or in a video game just because of their gender. Anyways, I'll try to stop.

Back to the subject, female fighters are at their best when there are fewer of them in a game. That way they are unique. If there are more female characters, please, please don't do the '-girl' thing has had appeared in comic books such as Supergirl, Batgirl, etc. Let them be original, with their own abilities. As much as I liked Frost, she was basically a female Sub-Zero power-wise. And please, give them fighting techniques that fit them. So far Midway has pretty much done okay as for fighting styles so far...with the exception of Li Mei, but I dislike almost everything about her anyway. Also, give them decent fighting outfits. Enough with the swimsuits already. I'd admit since the guys seem to be following suit, I really haven't minded as much (shoot, even Rayden is starting to show some skin), but still...how many people do you know would want to go into a hostile situation in nothing more than a swimsuit or swim trunks.

danadbab, tgrant and lady raiden, you all rock. I agree with everything you have said in this post. It's so cool to find other people who don't ignore fighters just because they are female. To be honest, I hardly ever play as the male characters, as i find the females much better all round. Tanya, Mileena, and all the girls sound excellent in this game, and cannot wait to play as them.

Too bad the game doesn't have the option to talk to each other with the headsets. I can just imagine telling you that your shoelace was untied and then while you were checking your bare feet...FATALITY!

I'd like to know how these people get rated the best? Like, how is this fact? Sure Sonya's leg grab deals a shit load of damage, but any half decent player won't let it happen. In mk1 I'd rather have Sub Zero's slide, or Raidens superman than the leg grab, you have to be patient, and don't need to deal the damage all at once.

Also, I don't see how Cage would be considered better than Liu Kang really. His range was really short, but over all they have very similar moves, and I think Kang is faster (haven't played for a while though, so I could be wrong).

I just think Sonya is overrated really. especially in MK1, I thought she was improved in MK3, but I would say Nightwolf was one of the top guys in that one. Still, how anyone can say that somebody is the best, barnone and it's a fact is beyond me. Like, what sort of data are they using? How do they come to this conclusion?

veinz-johnny is faster then liu in mk1,but liu is better overall..sonya is top in mk1.her leg grab is 1 of the best couter moves in mk history. if u time it right after u do 1 u can do a 2nd 1 and its unblockable!!!!!
