Every strategy guide for MK2 I've ever seen or owned ranked Reptile dead last.

They ranked Mileena, Jax, Kitana, and Liu Kang as the top tier.

Well good thing they aren't basing the roster in this game off of how well characters played in MK2.

I'd obviously love to see Reptile. Besides, there's some new dude working with this storyline. He can maybe whip up something incredibly wicked for Reptile for those who aren't happy with his story. I'd love to play as him in a uniform closer to how he looked in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Personally, I thought he looked bad ass!

Likewise, my friend. Please don't tell me you prefer his MKDA appearance and you may salvage a shred of your dignity in my eyes.

Full lizard Reptile is not very good in my opinion, he should look the same as in MK1-3 and then as an alternate costume he could be full lizard, or the other way around.

And lets face it, you dont play Mortal kombat because of an incredible storyline, you got Fallout for that : )

His MKDA costume was definitely the most creative, I dunno how they can do a better job than that, since everyone is getting huge make overs.

Well, except of course Sub Zero and Scorpion. and They put Shang in an updated MK2 outfit which looks too ninja-ish and uncreative.

And of course all of the DC people look like how any can predict before they even came out.



Guess that just leaves Sonya.

Shang Tsung and Sonya have been my favorite renders yet.

I think some characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero shouldn't be touched up too much.

I hope they do something cool with Kitana, Raiden, and Jax though. Especially with Jax, they could really redo his look.

Story is the only thing that keeps me coming back.

Anyway, if Reptile gets confirmed, I'm going to shit angry rubber cement. It's not that I have anything against Reptile. I'm not a huge fan, but he was a fave of mine back in the 2D days.

But we don't need another fucking MK1 character. I'm going to let Raiden slip, not because I like him anymore than Rep, but because I've already excepted the fact that he's probably in.

Although I would say Reptile is Iconic. I've never met anyone who is familiar with more than three MK characters without one of those characters being Reptile. And of course he's iconic. All you have to do is identify the elements "green" and "ninja" into one package and he's in your head forever.

But seriously, I'd go with one of the other ninjas. Even Noob, who I loathe, would be a better choice.

I really liked Reptiles primary costume in MKDA. And i don't care about what anyone thinks of me on this board. I like his costume just as much as i liked his MKSM costume. Which is why i loved Reptile in MKA. I even liked his MK4 costume.

No argument here. Reptile's MKSM look was definitely not my favorite.

Actually, regardless of his rank, it seems more to me like he takes a backseat to Sonya's story. I would hesitate to call Jax an important or essential character. Or even an iconic one.

Reptile is by tier list in the top 3 worst characters from the 12 playable in MK2.
All being the ninjas. No kidding. Reptile was at least usable with variety, but at best he was a nobrainer.

he does definitely take a back seat to sonya but i think he's iconic. more so than reptile but honestly i don't think either of them will be in.

but if by some chance he does make it in he should have his MKDA look. that's been his best one so far. his MK4 is good too though.

Every single fan has a completely different opinion of what Reptile's best look was.

A huge amount of people want him to just be a ninja with human colored skin again (which is immensely stupid because that was a disguise and once your cover is blown and people know what you look like, you don't just put the same damn disguise back on...)

Some people prefer his MKDA look, but a whole lotta people hate it.

And some people like his Shaolin Monks look best. Personally, this is the category I fall into. I think it's a very successful combination of lizard and ninja.

In this topic, we even had a person say they liked his MK4 look best. I've never seen that happen before, lol

From what I've seen over the years, I think the Shaolin Monks look has the most fans and is what they'll use if Reppy's in the game...

...but I kinda suspect he won't be because we can only have ten characters in the game and we've already got two ninjas.

You just ranked his MK4 Alternate first and his Shaolin Monks costume last?

THEY'RE THE SAME DAMN CONCEPT! "lizard skin mixed with ninja clothes", The only difference is the mask over the mouth!

Well it's possible Reptile might not make the cut due to more important characters that would get in but at the same time, there's a chance that he will make it and we just have to wait.

The only thing I'm wondering about is the amount of ninjas in the game. If DC will have a "ninja villain" and we already have Sub-Zero and Scorpion, Reptile in ninja form might be too much. So hopefully he can be in lizard form but in a more newer kind of look for this game if he is in the game.

This would fit perfectly in the iconic character sticky.
