Yep, it is pretty strange. Wonder Woman is part of the big three, but they announce f*cking Captain Marvel before her! WHAT DA FUK?

I think you need to calm down, as Wonderwoman will undoubtely make the cut. Does it really matter when she is announced? Or even why other characters are announced earlier? The most important thing (at least when you look at your reactions) is that she's gona make it.

So why be so upset? Don't see why you are. Just my personal opinion though.

lol, I wasn't mad, just thought that announcing someone who people don't really recognize before WW is strange. I mean, wtf strange.

Of course she will be in the game. That goes without saying. I just don't think it is befitting treatment of one of the "big 3." For me, it's the same as if they had not announced scorpion or subzero yet. Everyone knows the importance those two characters within the MK world. I often find that WW is not given the respect she deserves. I just hope this is not one of those cases. I'm not upset (yet! haha). Just pointing out what I think is an oddity.

i don't really think it's odd. i mean i would prefer they release surprise characters first because it makes speculation so fun. i KNOW that wonder woman is going to be in the game. all we really want to see is how she looks and given that all the DC characters have had a classic look we really can have a pretty accurate guess on how'll she'll look too.

I think it's because they don't want to have an onslaught of female character's announced. They pretty much announced Sonya and Catwoman at the same time, so they're taking a brief break before they announce Wonder Woman and (probably) Kitana or Mileena.

Actually, according to many people and by what Midway has hinted, Catwoman wasnt even supposed to be released yet. It looks like they had plans to announce Wonderwoman before!, but with all the problems they had with the leaked render and stuff, they went ahead and gave us sexy Catwoman.

You can begin to be angry at the fans who leaked the render now. If it really was because of the leaked render, then it should be Wonderwoman and not Catwoman the one shown in previews and trailers, etc.

She was supposed to be the first female to be announced/revealed from the DC side.

I’m actually very happy they are once again using more characters to promote the game and not just the 2 male ninjas.

Sonya has always been the chosen MK female to be used the most for the promotion of the games (except MK2 and MKD for obvious reasons), and I’m glad she was the official No3 character for this game, and that she is the MK female that will be shown to lead the previews and E3 and stuff.

We have: Scorpion, Subby and Sonya.

Hopefully there is more of Shang Tsung too.

And as for WM, well, I wouldn’t worry much because we all know how she is going to look and we know she is in the game. Hopefully she is announced at E3 or at Comiccon.

If you want to be mad though, be mad at the leaked Catwoman stuff, if it wasn’t for that, we would had gotten Wonderwoman ages ago.

But Im very very very happy we got Catwoman, she looks fantastic!



But Catwoman was announced ages after Sonya, so now that you mention that, Im starting to fear that the female number is going to be just 2...hopefully 3.

She'll definitely be in there for sure. She's probably going to be announced along side Kitana probably. Since I see those two as parallels.

I wouldn't quite call it an onslaught. We've had, what, 10 characters announced, and only 2 are female. I'm hoping for 4 female characters on each side . . .Had WW been announced instead of Flash, she would have been the first female character along with Sonya. I'm also curious how they will match her power levels with Supes and CM.

Interesting info on the Catwoman leak though. If it is true, it's funny how things like that dictate how the team has to respond. From a marketing standpoint, they would probably want to announce all of the definite characters first, thereby extending the period of speculation on the lesser known characters as long as possible. Catwoman wasn't completely unexpected, but she wasn't a lock (until we got more details about the roster). It seemed a bit early to unveil her, so I think you're theory about the leak might be right

I think it is because Midway realizes that so many people are demanding Wonder Woman that they had decided to wait a long time to confirm her, just to tease us.

They said the 4 they reveal at Comicon are going to be ones that will "make a lot of noise" or something like that, the ones we've been most highly anticipating from both sides.

So I'm betting Wonder Woman, Raiden, either Kitana or Mileena, and I dunno for the 4th, maybe Green Lantern or Joker.

There are characters who are likely to be in, and likely not to make the cut as well, despite them being iconic and all.

Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Sonya were a definite lock and had the highest possibilities for example (as does Rayden though, and he hasnt been confirmed), while others such as Kitana, Mileena and Johnny Cage for example, are not so definite.

Then from DC, Superman, Flash, Batman and WM are all a lock, Catwoman is iconic, expected, yes, but not really a lock like Wonderwoman obviously is. We all know she is in the game, so the surprise will be to see her play, not really to see her announced.

kitana is definitely a lock i'd say. she's mortal kombats main herione as far as the storyline goes. but the main point being that yeah they have to save some big names for later too.

they can't just announce scorpion, sub-zero, sonya, kitana, superman, batman, wonder woman, and the flash at the same time. honeslty if they did that i'd loose A LOT of interest in following this game. they need to keep some big names hidden to keep people interested.

Well why would someone like Sonya be announced before the return of living Lui Kang but I'm not making a press conference about it I think you should take a pill and just wait until Boon is ready or you hear it on the MKasts.

She's pretty much certain to make it so who cares when she's announced?

She doesn't even have spikes, chains, or a leather jacket, so who cares anyway?

I'm interested to see what they will do with her design wise. The DC superhero's costumes are very blah! bland and boring. Not too much detail you can put in a spandex bodysuit. (Catwoman being an exception, her costume is rockin!) I just wanna know if there will be alternate costumes, because thats something that hasn't been confirmed.

Heh, but anyways, why worry about just one character when there are other characters that we want to know if he'll or she'll make it, but we have no news. Like Reptile, Cage, Manhunter, and I can't belvie I'm saying this, but the ol' merman himself, Aquaman.
