In the most recent interview he confirmed it. At the very least he said that when two players picked the same character, they would wear different outfits to distinguish them in battle.

Those characters have alot of fans. I can't imagine another ninja, and I don't see many "regular" characters from the DC side having such an effect. Although C Marvel was a pretty surprising choice.

I think it would shock a lot of people if Ermac or Smoke made the cut, I know a lot of MK fans would be happy I'm sure.

As for DC or females in genera;, I definitely agree about WW or GL would shock and please lots of people.

Kitana also would be nice, I really don't want to see Mileena in this is Kitana will be in it.

That's wierd and I also wonder the same for Raiden. Why the hell has he not been confirmed, I mean what the fuck he's the God of thunder and lightning and protector of Earthrealm. Confirm hiim!

Midway/DC are just saving the best characters for last

I don't think having WW in the game would all that shocking. You really can't have any DC game without WW. GL is not too far behind in that regards. Plenty of fans will be pleased to see them announced of course. The only shock factor i can think of would be if Diana wasn't WW. (And then I would be angry! ha) i guess there is an element of surprise with GL because it could be Hal, kyle or John.

Smoke or Ermac would be a shock. I think we will get an MK character or two that will surprise us.

I prefer Kitana over Mileena as well but the two kind of go hand in hand. They are the female version of the Sub Zero/Scorpion rivalry. I think it would be very interesting if they were both in the game. Most people believe it will be one or the other, but they could both make the cut. There will probably be 3-4 female characters on the MK side and of the women remaining, those two have the best shot in my mind.

She'll probably be left out, actually. She's almost always left out, and Edenia really doesn't seem to figure in this game's story. I can somewhat see Mileena, but I doubt her, too. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kitana, she's one of my favorite characters, but she really isn't that important in the grand scheme of things: not if she's being left out of MK4 when it was HER REALM being invaded. Not when her and her "sister" *cough* clone *cough* are almost always add-ons after the game's been released.

First of all, Kitana was going to be in MK4 and was only left out at the last minute (she was also originally supposed to be in MK3 as well). Also, Kitana being added-on to revised games doesn't make her contributions as a lead heroine in the story any less effective.
Yeah, she was added to UMK3...but she still freed Sindel from Kahn's control, which was a crucial plot-point. She was held prisoner in MK4....but escaped in MK Gold and helped free her realm from Shinnok's control. She wasn't actually in Deception, yet was still a factor in Mileena, Sindel, Jade, and Liu Kang's stories.
Compare that to someone like Jax, who's been in just about every game and is just Sonya's sidekick.

I also think the fact that she plays a relevant part in the story, even when she's not in the actual game, says something about how important she is. And the fact that they do end up adding her on says something about her popularity.

The only way I can see Kitana being left out is if the MK team has their heads jammed squarely up their asses.......which I'll admit, is a possibility.
Hopefully, this won't be the case.

I believe Kitana was also supposed to be in Deception as well, but was removed in the end for Jade, who had not appeared in a game in a while.

She was also featured in Shoalin Monks and was playable as well. I think she has been in quite a few games, and she has one of the stronger story lines of all the female characters.

If Edenia is implicated in this game at all, then Kitana more than likely will make an appearance.

I am really starting to believe the powers that be at MK v DCU really do not consider Wonder Woman as an important character in this game. . .

On a happier note, I am happy that Kitana made the cut!

i doubt seriously that they would leave wonder woman out of the game. superman, batman, and wonder woman practically make up the DCU. they are the three most important heroes in the entire DC comics universe.

if they left her out the DC people interested in this game would seriously murder ed boon and the development team.

she's the parallel to kitana in that she's DC's leading lady. she'll be announced eventually.
