Well, I wouldn't go as far as the series will end soon now that REAL deaths are occuring. Lets look at the deaths:
Shao Kahn
Sindel(apparently she was killed by Shinnok in the MK4 comic, or so I've heard)
Liu Kang
Shang Tsung (says so in Kung Lao's CANON ending)
Shinnok
Goro
Kintaro (heard he was blown up by Raiden in MK2)
Motaro
Sheeva
Kabal

That's only a few deaths, and that always occurs not AlWAYS toward the end of a series. While its possible Reptile, if he is indeed THE Dragon King, then its possible he might die.

Then again, he may not. Look at these(vital) villans who have NOT died in their first and possible second appearance:
MK1:Shang Tsung and Goro
MK2:Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn
MK3:Motaro and Shao Kahn
MK4:Quan Chi and Goro
MKDA:Quan Chi

So, Reptile, as the potential Dragon King, may or may not die. We can only guess.....

i think he's still alive resting some where

in the intro movie it says the take him down, shao kahn has fallen, fallen out of power it never says:
"shao kahn is dead"

1.I was basically talking about bosses. Except MK4 Quan Chi.
2.He wasn't really bad. He was just sent by the Lin Kuei to kill Shang Tsung. Just a man on a job.

Read the endings of MKDA that actually contribute to the MAIN storyline, not the sub-plots. Kung Lao does sound more canon. Then again, it can also mix with Bo Rai Cho's, since he taught Kung Lao those moves so its sort of also his victory, too.

Remember, I'm an aspiring MK historian. Not that it has to do with anything, but, well, you figure it out. Its early morning and I don't wanna spell it out for you.

uhhh gettin a little off topic there boys but any who with the whole dragon king thing goin down i think reptile may end up as the new goro bein a huge dragon that would be my first guess so yea he might die next game hell he might be dead after this game i guess we'll just have to play the waiting game

Well if Reptile is not the Dragon King (as some of you say) then what are they talking about in his ending. A blast of energy from the egg, he gets surged with power in his squamash body legends fulfilled, Dragon King Returns...well yeah. To many riddles.

Could be true, could not be true. It doesnt say that he is. Because the baby dragon is in the egg...where's Chameleon at, this is to much of a(n) overdone cliff hanger. They push it to much.
