daegon can be VERY effective i think but kai i just don't like. too weak and poor mid hits.

Deagon fuckin OWNS. D+4, B+2(mid) all day. His swords are fuckin effective to. B+4, 2,4 (High Mid) 50/50's all day.

Reptile bad ? Character is easily mid tier.

4 (mid),3 is 100% safe. Nothing can beat that... and it leads to a free throw/ 50/50. And in most cases... you can spam U+4... and it's still safe. And having the ability to turn invisible is pretty nice to ; )

His weapon is nothing special... but his first style is gold.



Kai is the worst character in the game in my opinion. He has no mids except for a very unsafe... 10000000000 frames delay shitty one in weapon. The only thing Kai has that I slightly respect is his sliding kick. It has invincible frames just like Motaro's donkey kick.

The way to beat Kai.... just duck all day with low pokes and uppercuts. He is NOTHING.

The only characters that could compare for the worst character is between Kai and Shujinko. I think Jinko is still better because he has his mids. U+2 in weapon FTW.

Daegon I've seen alex use pretty damn well, I don't believe he's that bad IMO.

Kai for sure and Cyrax are easily among the worst IMO in this game.

Reptile isn't the best, but he's far from the worst.

Reptile is not good. You may become good with him but his first style is easily over come...don't duck. jinko yea is close but he is fast, has good specials, and he has u2.

atari knows how to use jinko.

Mine is Meat by far.

cyrax is pretty good. i think. He is easy to use and if he gets going then he cam do damage. 4 in weapon is awesome, and 12, b1, in first are good mix ups.

I dont understand how you can think that. Easily over come by not ducking ? And this is where throws come in man. Reptile IS good because he has nice, safe mids. 4,3 is godly in my opinion. He may not be extreme high tier... but he's still decent.

My favorite low tier is probably Shujinko. Its sad to see that he takes 10% more damage than the rest of the characters... but he's still fun to play with.

Well, I agree with arcade as far as Reptile is concerned. He's very good in the right hands and his invisibility can make for great mind tricks since you can't see him...

Cyrax isn't that great, not for nothing but pig is the only guy online via xbox that uses him. That's one player...and some of his moves are safer online then offline such as some of his sword attacks which makes him a bit better.

Cyrax is a million times better in UMK3, in MKA he's top 3 worst guys in the game as much as I hate to say it being a Cyrax fan.

Have you ever tried to just low sweep/poke daegon? His weapon stance is safe but only if you block high. When ever Daegon is close just low poke him to death. Takes your opponent right out of his game.

Jinko is not the worst character. I can use him pretty well.

Cyrax is not the worst. His weapon stance is very annoying to deal with and he has a good low poke/mid pop up 50/50. His specials are pretty bad.

Well, I'm not saying he's the #1 worst but he's among the worst, other then his sword attacks he's crap. I think Kai is worse then Cyrax but not by that much.

His net would have made him soooo much better seriously, if he comes back he HAS to have his net it was a trademark move afterall. Ditch the spinny kick move.

Atari - If someone walks up... and wants to low poke all day, just use B+2 in first stance.

However... if your playing with Daegon, its best just to play offense, and kill with D+4 all day long.

You can prettty much spam 4 in weapon all day long, and not be touched. Best part about it ? It hits mid !

Oh.. and that buzz saw he has is pretty damn neat to. The way that works is pretty strange... but it defeintly keeps your oppoenent away.

My point exactly - Duck and low poke the entire game and wait for B+2 in weapon stance. No doubt you'll land a few but when I guess right you will get punished.

Daegon is definately the worst if thats the best strategy you come up with.
When I do use him I spam 1,1 in weapon from a safe distance hopefully tricking them to throw out a random prarry and follow up with 2,4.

Trying to punish with B+2 is fine in MKD. That was a good strategy for Sindel. Not for MKA. One more thing - If you land D+4 your opponent recovers as fast as you do and can exchange hits with you. Maybe good in MKD. No good in MKA.

To atari did you say to beat a daegon poke him to death earlier? He's pretty good IMO, this one time alex killed me in one match with him it caught me so off guard. He was using a lot of MKD Sindel tactics with the push, 50/50 etc.

Seemed pretty effective.

Anyone here play Smoke a lot? He's pretty good but IMO WELL toned down from MKD smoke, MKD Smoke was a beast, MKA smoke is soft...I loved him in MKD, hate him in MKA

Kai is the worst. Frost is the second worst. These two have no mids what-so-ever. If they gave Frost her other style from MKDA, Yuan Yang, then she'd be much higher tier.

MKLegend - Daegons low poke and B+2 doesnt do enough damage to compete. Same as MKD Sindel. For the 1000th time all anyone had to do was block high 90% of the time and punish accordingly. Now vs. Daegon just low poke. Its so simple its silly. Same as Kai....just low block and low poke 90% of the match.

Low poke 90% of the match when ever he is within striking distance. He will then rely on two things...B+2 and that silly charge they dont lead to any real damage and they can be punished if you block. Very good odds if you ask me. I dont need to tell you what to do for the other 10%.

*Arcade - U+2 in his first stance is his best move. Its sets them down on their heads and leads to a 50/50. And its unbreakable. MKD Sindel bread and butter.

Naw... Jax is pretty decent actually.

B+3 in his first stance is a nice mid/popup, and can lead to unbreakable combos.

So... for example

B+3, DF+1 (Machine punches), and then a ground pound after that.

Also....

1,1 in weapon is a free throw. 1,1 does some VERY hefty damage to. Also...safe of course.

You can auto track his machine gun to.

Thats Jax in a nutshell... and he is not bad at all.....

I know all about Frost's freeze moves and such, trust me. I'm the only one that uses her at a high level on PS2. But she still can't stand up to the "worst" character, Daegon. She just lacks the proper moves to make her a better character. That's why she's shit. She has to rely heavily on her freeze moves and teleport uppercut, but eventually that will get predictable.
