The ONLY effective way to play him is the way Easy plays him with the jump kick 50/50. But that strategy works even better with Kai or Sindel so I say Daegon is the worst.

Its called high mid. If they are blocking low on that free throw... you can do either 2,4 again, or 1,1,4 after that, and repeat.

Easy's frost is a pain gret mixups with migh punches and pokes to make me block and then BAM i get a puddle.

Kai, Jinko, and Frost are obvious.



Shang Tsung gets spot 4 because of unsafe mids, and only ONE decent special. That would be his soul steal...

Other than that, he is garbage.



I dont care how many hardcore Fujin fans are out there... but here's the truth. He's trash.

Nearly everything he has is unsafe, and his specials arent anything to brag about either. He has 1,1,3,3 ( I believe) in his first stance... but you can parry in between 1 and 1.

Only thing that saves him is the fact that he has unbreakable combos.

Anything else... is garbage.

Ok, I must disagree with you about 5. Fujin is NOT absolute trash or that bad, as you've seen in the red/mkf vids I've beaten Kabals with him(not an easy task), other top tiers drahmins, noobs, scorpions and pretty much everyone at some point other then a KAK, Boss or Sareena understandably so. He's number 6 or 7, Cyrax before Fujin

He's got 50/50s up close that are VERY good, you'd be surprised when someone knows what they're doing with him like me for example. His sword is good mixing up the sweep swipe with his regular combos IF you know how to 50/50 well. I do. His Liu He is better no doubt because he has good lows, and highs his 1, 1, 3, 3 is fast enough to take your foe off guard but I wouldn't spam this combo, his 2 is literally a move that can make or break him depending if you use it and use it wisely.


His specials are good, however again in his case you MUST know when to use them and use them right. There's a tactic with one of his specials that I use all the time that 9/10 times will nail my opponent.

His spin move is a great move for charging foes, it's GREAT anti air. Anyone jump kicks me, and you'll eat a spin every time. If you jump like jumping bean, you'll eat a wind lift easy as that.

I'm probably the one player on here that's literally a "god" with Fujin, he's not trash he's much better then Cyrax any day of the week.

When I played mesofly last, he picked Sareena against my Fujin enough said. Now, I'm not knocking him for doing so but come on...he knows among a lot on here how I turtle with him, if you can't get near me chances are you won't win or you'll have a really rough time winning.

There are tactics with him that nobody even talks about that I know but I'll keep that to myself, lets just say it has nothing to do with combos, smaller things that are actually big in his case.

Fujin is factually FARR better then Shang Tsung is it's not even funny.

If you want to say he's in the top ten worst, I agree but he's not the 5th worst Cyrax is definitely ahead of Fujin.

Fujin is by far the most UNSAFE character in the game.


His weapon has no good qualitys to it at all. You do U+2 with Kenshi.... your safe. You do U+2 with Fujin... it takes 3 years for the frames to recover .

If he would have had Kenshi qualitys.... he would have been easily mid tier or better.


Liu He is not a good style at all. 1,1,3,3 will get parried by any high level EVERYTIME. Trust me dude.... I've fought enough Fujins to know that.


And like I said... his specials are nothing to brag about unless your fighting some random scrub that jumps alot. Then yes.... his spin comes into play. But you fight a good player... you will see them adapting to what your doing, and punish ANY special that Fujin has to offer.

2 is unsafe, breakable, and parryable... Why you would even consider using that move out in t he open is way beyond me.


Cyrax OWNS Fujin. I'll bet anything that on a stable, playable connection... the opponent using Fujin will eat 4 in weapon every time a move/dial combo is performed.

I dunno man. Tell ya what though.... When I do get on XBL when ever that is, I'll be down to do a first to 10, Cyrax vs Fujin series.

Don't get me wrong man, I respect your view but I'm just saying as far as Shang vs. Fujin and Cyrax vs. Fujin I'm running with the Fuji on either of those match ups. That's the only thing I disagree with you with man, Fujin is still definitely a low tier no doubt in my mind I totally agree with you there. You need to really, really, really work to pull out a W with him.

I don't deny that he's a bad character, he's definitely ONE of the worst and a low tier just not the worst or top 4 IMHO man.

As for Up+2 hell no man lol, I'm sure you noticed in some of the vids with my fujin I NEVER do that move lol. That's just asking for punishment and a serious gamble. Up+2 is a death wish lol.

His B+3 is a great move, I've used this move enough times in key situations to know this in weapon style.


As for 2 in Liu He being a parry coming, you're right but then again half of the moves in this game can indeed be parried or lets just say most mids and highs, SOME lows.

One thing you forgot to mention that I want to also bring up, his D+1 in Liu He is a great move easily. Probably one if not his best move in this style along with D+4, neither are parryable and D+4 is a great move that back off your foe with and it recovers pretty quickly. At least in every time I've used it unless there's some serious lag issues or something I've recovered every time from it unscaved virtually every time.

I'm also one of these Fujin players that will hardly use his actual auto dial combos with weapon(unless I nail you near a corner where I can continue to juggle you after a wind spin or wind lift)

His dart kick is a great move, just like Lao's it comes out really fast and if you're being chased down online in the air man, it's a GREAT take out move let me tell ya. This move is key in close matches especially, I'll use this more then his wind moves if it's really tight.

Another tactic I like to use when I do get the chance lol is this.

You can get 42%+ IF you do one of his combos correctly, it's EXTREMELY rare and most likely never happens but if you do his wind tornado, near the corner Liu He 2, 2, (weapon style now) 1, 1, 3, 3(near wall push back) before your opponent lands do the wind spin it's at least 40% but with lag and the situation rarely if ever presenting itself this case is practically non-existent. More or less it's a corner combo.

You could also do this off his 36% wind tornado 1, 1, 3, L combo if you're near the wall to get push back then buffer the spin but it's rare. Good rare fancy ground combo though I will admit. But once again, you must be in the corner.

I see what you're saying as far as spamming his specials but I have beaten good players on here with these tactics, was it easy? hell freaking no but is it possible? Yes.

Just like pig taking everyone out with Cyrax and Shang, I do the same with Fujin.

I don't mean to make excuses for these three guys but I do believe that if you can use any of these guys well, it takes more skill compared to say Noob, Scorpion or Sareena or Dairou. Someone that's incredibly annoying as oppose to the above three.

No shit Cyrax is better! lol. If you do 2 with Fujin in Lui He it almost never hits because of lag. Yeah it hits mid but it misses 90% of the time.

If Fujin ever did his Throwing Tornado or Wind Funnel and they're blocked he's going to eat 4 from Cyrax's Pulseblade all day.

It is impossible to use Kai without basic knowledge of recovery and stun moves.

Try this...after his pop up kick use his air fire ball and step in as it lands as a set up for a high mid/free throw 50/50 mind game.

After you learn that basic concept Ill teach you how to play mind games with his full screen throw.

Fujin's ability to safely close the gap faster than any other low tier in the game clearly puts him above the rest.


With the proper timing and spacing Fujin is a beast and would ass rape Daegon/Kai/Sindel. Just chip away with pokes and turtle. If you want to try and block/counter vs. those low tier characters than you get what you deserve.



I think Mav uses this strategy the best amongst FUjin players and I thats why I consider his #1 on Xbox.


Im sure you have a good strategy with him MKLegend, but I found Mav's Fujin tougher.
