What seperates the two are Kais specials. If timed properly, can be very effective.

Fujin dart kick is why he can compete. Learn how to whiff the kick. Mav does this perfectly after a low poke. If you step forward ot attack, you eat the kick.....if you hold block, he misses you and goes for a 50/50 rinse and repeat. Beatifully done.


Not to mention you can whiff two dart kicks and close a full screen gap safely.

His OBVIOUS flaws keep him at a low tier status, dont bring them up.

Ok, understand the I mastered SIndel in MKD. Daegon has her 2nd stance. B+2 was safer in MKD by the way, but yes Im well aware on B+2.

What makes B+2 usefull is when you spam his low sweep/pokes.

It takes priority over everything. But like any other move in this game, what happens when you are forced to use B+2 90% of the match.

Use your heads when you are fighting Daegon. Low poke him to death and he will be FORCED to use 3 moves which do 12% damage max. Not good odds for Daegon.

** side step/block to avoid low poke/B+2 mix ups if you dont want to get hit. Simple. Other than that, trade hits after his low pokes. He will stop spamming them very quickly. Trust me. I MASTERED that technique, ask Dan. He used this as Sindels bread and butter. Very avoidable once you understand the recovery frames involved.

Don't worry man, I'm not complaining just to let you know I was merely bringing up a point on WHY Fujin can be a character to be dealt with, that one time was a perfect example of how Fujin can be irritating because a good Fujin player will turtle, and bait his foes not just go all offense in which sense the Fujin player will definitely lose for sure.

To C_gamer your point on Fujin's 2 missing, that is true however it's rarely missed with me online. And just one more then I wanted to bring up, for what it's worth if you're fast enough you can buffer the parry immediately after a wind tornado therefore making his foes think twice against a good Fujin anyway.

Daegon is not a bad character at all you obviously have not played Alexei or Eazy's Daegon. He has sindel's old second stance and that stance is not bad at all D+4 is a great poke so is D+1. Which you could mix up with B+2 which is a great mid or his special charge move B,F+4 which also hits mid. I'm not going to front though his weapon stance is kind of garbage but 2,4 is effective and it hits mid plus it leads to a freethrow so I would say Daegon is a mid tier character. He's definetely better than Kai.
