You can not honestly think Wii is better than PS3. Wii is the gimmick of all the 3. Why do you think they've targeted the whole family spectrum? Online play is virtually non-existent on Wii e.g. MKA on Wii. Sales mean nothing. Another reason why sales mean jack is the fact that PS2 sold more than twice the original XBOX yet everyone knows which console is better overall. So all in all, Wii is wack and boring!... I'd have to disagree with you, the wii's remote actually has a purpose unlike the Blu Ray which is virtually the same as HD....it's worth the money.

The wii targets everyone, yes no denying that but I don't understand why some people believe that "for that reason" it's a bad console...

It has the most realistic sports titles you can ever play literally that you can't experience on the other consoles, Mario games are always great, SSB and Mario Kart are coming out soon and WILL be online...can you say ownage once those two come out?

I remember when the wii was about to come out, many people mocked it for looking silly, but that quickly changed once it came out. The wii and DS are killing everything else worldwide when it comes to sales in general man.

The wii is online right now btw, in fact Midway wanted MKA to be online for it but at that time in may Nintendo wasn't ready but even if it was...so what? MKA is dead as a doornail now anyway..UMK3 is where it's at, DS has 40+ players in it active one one site alone I know, about 20 on another where MKA can't scrounge up 5 players from here on at once....at this point. And unlike the MKD/MKA for PS2 or Xbox, you can actually play people worldwide fully on UMK3 DS. I forgot to mention that but that's kick ass and MKA/MKD online lacked that...

As for PS2 selling more then xbox, the only reason that happened is because A.PS2 has a ton of good games, I have to hand Sony that much...unlike PS3 and was out before Xbox...thus it had a headstart. I just don't like the console but come on PS2 has a lot of good games.

Yeah, I know the xbox is better onlinewise and hardware wise. That's a nobrainer, but that's not everything....there was one point where PS2 had a lot more better games then Xbox did before Xbox improved with Halo and such...

The wii is much better then the GC ever was and it's also the only console that is 100% BC unlike the other two where 360 has some games that are, PS3 has like what? 5 games if that many? lol

Then there's also the wii's VC which is badass, I suggest you check that out the games on there alone are better then some of these new games out now in general for all consoles...

The wii is online now, there's only a few titles online that play well though the titles that do but again...what PS3 titles online are really talked about a lot? lol

Now, another thing you didn't mention PS3's online...it's not that great, it takes forever to download at times, still not that great and all they try to do is copy off of Nintendo's ideas with (motion sensor) and Xbox's with market place...

I know on here there's some players that think it's all about "power" but people will always go for gameplay>>graphics

Mario Galaxy is a great game since that's one of the newer games out for the wii right now.

BTW, sales do make a difference if something sells shitty chances are a sequel will not be made...

The wii is selling well because it's a fun, good console that offers online play in key games, has VC and brings a new element to the world of gaming.

Because the money you spend on a 64 with those games now will be more money then a simple download that's convienent with the wii and a lot of people I know either broke their N64 or simple never had one, thus why the wii is also awesome because people that missed out on Mario 64 or the Super Mario series.

yea wii is 249.99. People just enjoy Wii more. Older adults play video games but we're talking college kids and most college kids don't have all the money to buy a ps3 or xbox 360.

And yes I've played all 3 systems and I would pay 500 for a wii before paying 500 for both xbox 360 and ps3 in a bundle. Nothing excites me on those systems. Hell, I have a 360 only for umk and HD player.

I use my Wii for so much more. I don't think i'd pay 100 for ps3. There is nothing on that system that makes me want to get it. I prefer gameplay and I get a hell of a lot more original concepts from the wii.

And if you you look on that chart, you can see that Wii sports is the main game selling on Wii and Mario franchise. Anyway i had a wii beat zelda in two days then sold it. It is boring, and the lack of games is just retarded. If i was 10 i would love mario and sonic jerking off at the olympics, mario tennis (mario playing with balls, amazing!), or even mario galaxy (faggot in space) but i like VF5, DOA4, GOW, COD4 and other grown up games. I played that nintendo shit when i was younger, and they are basically relying on the same titles now as then. Sad!

Nintendo systems are usually the only systems i play one player games on. I'm not that huge of a gamer, like I've said before 90% of what I play when I play is MK unless a mario, metroid, zelda game has came out.

I'm not into anything else really.

Just not that hardcore like I was when I was 8-15 years old. Ps3 does not interest me neither does 360 though I have one for cheap.

The Wii appeals to (potentially) ALL gamers. You see moderate gamers (most of us), hardcore gamers, light gamers, and even non-gamers who have gotten into and come to enjoy the Wii. That's why it's sold so well. It was a great path that Nintendo decided to take as far as selling units and making money. You can't deny the innovation they used when thinking of and implementing the Wii's unique gameplay mechanics. It's something we've never seen before.

Although, to me, I can relate it to a gimmick. From my experiences, the games are interesting and innovative, and are more-or-less best enjoyed with friends (parties). The party games (Wii Sports, Mario Party, that Wario game, etc.) are really fun to get into together, no doubt.

But for me, that's it. Any solid "traditional" games can't be had on the system. I don't think the (motion) controls are as responsive and just aren't preferable for me with a lot of the kind of games I like.

I have no interest in MK (fighters) on Wii. I tried Madden, and while it was interesting at first; I couldn't do things I wanted to due to the motion-control. Games like Mario are some of my favorites. But this new Mario Galaxy does not interest me at all due to motion-control. Same with Zelda. If I was going to get the newest one, I was going to get it for the GameCube. I want my "traditional" control dynamics with those games because outside of Party Games, the Wii controls don't respond well enough for me.

Aside from that, there's the fact that online is weak and the graphics, etc. are basically a generation behind now. I definitely see the attraction for others, though. It's just not for me.

I will say Nintendo is mega fucking weak when it comes to online and that more than anything is my main interest. I enjoy competition and if your online community is poorly constructed and unpopulated (due to the avg age of players on the Wii) then it does hamper my experience

Mario game is tearing it up and the wii comes with wii sports, but honestly if you don't know what to get it's a great game to play often(if you're a sports buff) and has the best tennis, bowling and baseball game you can ever play in a vid game)

Mario Galaxy btw is tough, it's not that "kiddy easy" as the original one is it's actually a good challenge to get stars.

Also, best party game or drinking is Wii sports hehe or certain wii games. They're even in a few bars near where I live now.

Yeah Nintendo re-wrapped Gamecube and threw a new controller at it and called you Wii. And you can't use sales to base an argument on what you think is the best console. That's somewhat being naive. It's like saying just because something sells so well it makes it an awesome product. Sega Dreamcast never sold that much but it was one of the best consoles of its time with some really memorable games but the marketing dept. got it all wrong. iPod sells like water in the desert but is it the best music player on the market?

The point I'm trying to make is this - Nintendo made Wii solely for profit, not for pure hardcore gaming experience and what I mean by that is they haven't targeted core gamers. So if you're a guy that loves your gaming on Playstation, PC or the XBOX, it is highly that Wii would replace any of them. If anything it would do no more than compliment them but not take their place.
