I'll admit, I want that for Xbox or hopefully down the line for the DS online since UMK3 is AWESOME for it via wifi. Midway did hint at the idea of future DS games ported should UMK3 do well and it is.

Then again, my friend has all 3 consoles so perhaps I'll just ask him how much is to download and play some online matches MK2 whenever I go to his place.

I think PS3 is going to become a good console eventually. Do we all remember when the original XBOX shipped? It was just as bad as PS3 now. It lacked games but eventually came good. So you can't base how good a console is just by number of volumes shipped.

However, I won't be getting a PS3 just yet because I think it'd take about a year to have good enough titles to compete with 360. So for now, my next console has to be Elite because of the online functionalities and array of games it offers. Also, PS3 need to stop allowing developers to host games. They need to follow Microsoft's model.

And Wii, errrrrrr... errrrrrr... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. I dunno!

FF8 was like the only I ever played before. I liked it alittle but I hated that bootleg Yu-Gi-Oh card thing they did. Plus I needed 4 different discs just to beat the entire thing, I only played the 1st disc.

FF8 was my favorite FF game . LMAO i needed like 3 more cards to get them all , they were worth it , if you traded the luna card you got 100 invinsibility emunities .

since your young i wont suggest FF6 even though its the best, it is "dated" Graphix wise. if you have free time find FF10 it should be real cheap right now. play it, you wont regret it.

Final Fantasy VII was the very first one I played. Could have something to do with why I think it blows the others away.

I started playing FFX last semester... but I ended up selling it back after only turning it on like twice. Could have been that I was too busy to get into that type of game... but I couldn't get into it.

I'd probably enjoy all the 3D games, I'd just have to be able to sit around and devote some playing time to it. Seems that rarely happens for me anymore.

None would probably live up to FFVII for me. Not fair, but I still thinks it's my favorite gaming experience ever which probably has to do with how old I was, how advanced it was for the time, the huge story, and the fact that it was the first game like it I'd ever played... on top of nostalgia, of course.

Games like RE1, MGS, Super Mario 64, Zelda: LTTP, Zelda: Ocarina, Grand Theft Auto III, RE4, and others had a similar impact on me. Just barely not quite as big.

Nah i'll pass Dan. I dont HATE FF games, I'm just not into those RPG/Strategy types. I like simple/brainless games .
@Gtrax- O.k the only reason I'd say get a Wii is because of UR MR GAY (Super Mario Galaxy) that game is so addicting, its not even funny. Its alittle slow at first but just a couple stars, and galaxies into the game and your hooked. I couldn't believe I was playing a Wii game that long, and all this time I been like "Fuck the Wii."

On the Nintendo point, they made what vid games are today and have been around forever....I think most gamers despite if you love Nintendo or hate Nintendo should respect them none the less....the kiddy factor is so overrated seriously, it's not the fact that they're "kiddy" they're out for "everyone" not just kids, not teens, not adults but EVERYONE. And that's one of the reasons the wii is owning bigtime right now. I know people of all ages that love it, from kids to old people...and everything in between.

I mean hell, even my local bars have wii sports tournaments, set ups....

The company has made billions literally since their existence and have most of the greatest games within the vid game industry to this day. Mario anyone? Enough said....and I know darn well he can match anything Sony or Microsoft can dish out.

Mario Galaxy=game of the year in 07 gamespot, normally I feel their views are somewhat shakey after that Kane & Lynch Jeff fired incident but they did get that one right. New Mario is insanely fun.

As overrated as people may think Mario and Halo is, I think GTA is way more overrated...played it for like 10 minutes GTA3, got bored really fast. No action, no online play, no multiplayer...no fun.

Actually, a lot of companies are making games for the wii...who told you that? Capcom, Sega, Ubisoft, 2ksports, Midway, Atari, EA. Wii sports is an awesome game not sure why you don't like it but it still beats anything PS3 has right now except for MK2...

It's way too early to be saying be PS3 is a failure. Give it time people. Sales means shit to me. I care about functionality rather than following the trend and current trend is Wii but does it offer me everything I want as in one stop for my full entertainment value, the answer to that is NO!

If I elaborate further; right now, I need to get a DVD player and a games console. If I get a Wii, that's exactly what I'll be doing but I could get a Unified System via 360 or PS3. I need a console to be more than game station. I need it to be able to deal with everything to do with media (videos, photos and soon Voice via messenger or something). Welcome to my future!

Oh gee thanks BONE. I think people don't like Tekken because the fight engine of it is A LOT more complicated than MKA. Then again, all fighting games' fight engines are more complex than MKA, lol. But honestly once you start playing it often you'll get the hang of it and eventually you'll be juggling people, keeping them cornered against a wall, etc.

If you do decide to get it I can show you a few things about it. I know Dave can show you a lot more but he's rarely online. But other than that once you get your PS3, send me your online ID.

Not for nothing dude, that's fine if you like PS3 but most of the games you listed are out for the 360 and better since it supports online play, where PS3 doesn't take VF 5 for example. RB is better for the 360(at least from my experience) Actually, Midway also makes MATURE games also, MKA and they'll make more I assure you so that's two companies actually.

I actually don't like Metroid(not a fan) but the game is pretty deep and solid Metroid 3 have to admit.

Wii will really kick in once Mario Kart online wii and SSBB are going to tear it up hehe, can't wait. I love Mario Kart racing.

Theres no real difference between the PS3 and 360 version of Rockband except that the 360 has achievements. I don't know what you saw that was different about the two versions.
