Smoking a lot of weed obviously isn't a very smart choice, but it's a little narrowminded to call people stupid if they enjoy smoking weed every now and then. It's like calling someone stupid because he enjoys drinking alcohol or gaming.

Spoken like a true gentleman. I like you.
As for the person that just said "Abusement", really? Did you have to go that far?

You sir, are lame as fuck. And don't hit me with a "I don't need drugs to have fun!!!!1!!" line because it will kill me a little bit inside.
I'm surprised people here are so anti weed, let this dude enjoy his 4/20. And lol @ people questioning the importance or significance 4/20 has for a stoner, its a fuckin joke holiday, relax. Smoke some weed.

I don't know about you but from personal experience every stoner I've ever met has been...shall we say...not the sharpest tool in the shed.
That almost sounds like a generalization. I'm sure there many people you have met that DO smoke, yet you just don't know. Then again, maybe you're talking about kids from school you know or some of your friends... I don't know. I used to smoke daily for years and I graduated top 20 in my class and just finished college with a 3.5 GPA in marketing. I wouldn't consider myself stupid by any means. I don't mean to gloat... I was just using myself as an example.

I used to smoke, but can't anymore because of my job. If I could I would definitely smoke and play when the game comes out.
By the way, not everyone who smokes is stupid. I know many people who used to smoke, and some that still do, that are very successful. In my opinion, smoking weed is comparable to drinking alcohol--some people take one or both too far. People get excited for 4:20 as smokers, and other people get ridiculously drunk on St. Patrick's Day, but it seems most people don't perceive the drinkers as alcoholics, but think all people who smoke or get excited for 4:20 are potheads and stupid.
Someone who smokes isn't automatically stupid and a pothead, just as someone who drinks isn't automatically stupid and an alcoholic.

Just to let you know, I bet you the pain relievers such as Tylenol and Aspirin you might take when you're feeling ill are worse than marijuana. I don't want even get into the argument against processed foods and what they contain! Anddd you sort of lost credibility for using the "word" abusement.

People need to stop hating on marijuana.
I am the only one in my fam that isn't a pot head, so i tend to despise marijuana, mainly due to the fact that people seem to think just cos some peeps use it medically it means its not bad for them.........well people use steroids medically also. Also i see alot of people around me just smoking so much its not even social anymore. Even though i'm in no position to judge since ive tried a lot of different recreational drugs I at least acknowledge they are quite bad for u. But hey smoke away if it makes u happy....not just high haha
Marijuana in itself, it's nothing I frown much upon, but that 4/20 shit is dumb as fuck. It's something you can do all the time and it's a excuse for you to glorify something that doesn't need to...
This thread will come to nothing good.

Fuck that correlation. My friend's birthday is on September 11th... should he change it because of the events that happened that day in NYC?

That said, i'm gonna blaze up and enjoy the fuck outta this game, but then again I was gonna do that regardless of 4/20 coming up.

I think it's hilarious when stoners talk about weed day especially when it's at school it just cracks me up
Look, more bullshit about cannabis! Facts.
1. Smoking weed is not restricted to idiots.
2. There are many idiots who smoke weed.
3. Trying it isn't idiotic, it's curiosity. This isn't meth. It's weed.
4. OP could have approached this topic more maturely.
5. So could the anti-marijuana posters in this thread.
6. If you haven't smoked marijuana before and call smokers idiots, please fuck off with your ignorant extremest viewpoints.
7. If you haven't smoked marijuana before, that's not a bad thing. Straight edge is a great lifestyle.
8. If you don't know why cannabis became illegal in the US in the first place, educate yourself. There is a reason why we are slowly decriminalizing it.
9. People who are extremely anti-weed are annoying.
10. People who hype up weed like it's a miracle are annoying.
11. Weed gets you high. Deal with it. Alcohol gets you drunk. Deal with it.
Being very drunk=way more dangerous to yourself than being very high. Alcohol is legal, but somehow accepted.
Deal with it.
12. This isn't a pro or anti weed post. This is meant to piss on the misconceptions of cannabis.
13. If you're raging at this post without consideration, please put your DARE shirt back on and go back to the sixth grade. You obviously aren't mature enough to handle a debate.
14. Before you get any ideas, I'm not hating on alcohol. It was a point to consider.
15. 4/20 is a tradition. People will do what they do. Enjoy MK high, sober, drunk. Just be responsible.
16. Despite what officer friendly may have told you, weed is much more safe than other hard drugs. Is it a gateway to hard drugs? Depends on the person. There are much more dangerous substances than cannabis that we should worry about, and people serving long ass prison terms for possession of marijuana have my sympathy.
17. If you ever get any ideas to start smoking, do it because you want to, not because your friends want you to. It is still illegal in many states, so if you get caught, that's your problem.
If you actually want my view on marijuana, I think it should be nationally decriminalized here in the states, but not legalized. Being high on the job just doesn't cut it.

However, buddy, you forgot the fact that there's no proof that marijuana has addictive properties.
Look, kiddies, I'm going to be away on the 19th. What am I doing on the 20th? Driving home from upstate, picking up MK, picking up some greenery from my dealer, going home, and then I will indulge in my green friend while playing the game.
I've had this debate with other people elsewhere, and the conclusion I've come to is this:
If you've never tried weed, your misinformed and judgmental opinion on it is invalid.
And that, my friends, is fact.
Do I think marijuana is the perfect everything and that I can't live without it? No, not at all. I'm not an every day smoker. I'm usually a twice-a-week smoker, and more often than not I get it for free from friends anyway. I use it to relieve pain, stress, and the like, or just as a social thing. The majority of my friends smoke, we do it together to have fun. Simple as that.
I also never do anything that I feel is important if I'm high. I don't go to work, I rarely (if ever) drive, I don't come on this site to do my duties here, nothing. I set aside free time because I'd rather kick back and listen to BT or the mau5 than be all active and shit.

Fuck that pamphlet, if you ever get the chance to read it, you'll find a plethora of subjective bullshit rather than statistics based on studies.

No one's hating on marijuana. They're hating on some megafag who feels the need to tell everyone he smokes it. It'd be the same if I made a thread called "I ate some lettuce today".
Would people consider being dependent on weed being addicted.
And points on with out trying you are misinformed can apply to anything in life, hell I know people who take meth and goto work and work better than usual.
My personal reasons for hating weed are valid.
1 I've grown up with it.
2 The majority of stoners I know don't have jobs and spend their centrelink money on weed, but think their better than other junkies cos its weed not meth.
3 My stoner friends have become incredibly boring to go out with or hang around with.
4 Weed can be just as dangerous to some people as alcohol.
With this being said even though im anti weed, i personally have no problem decriminalizing it aslong as its treated like any other drug eg prescribed or you need a licence to sell it

1- So have lots of people.
2- That's the people, not the drug. Weed doesn't make you lazy all the time; they'd be lazy without it, and they are better than meth-heads, because their drug of choice won't be their funeral.
3- That's largely because you don't smoke.
4- Re-read my post about being misinformed. Weed isn't nearly as dangerous.
Please, anyone who claims they're dependent on weed has zero willpower. It's far easier to quit that than something that can actually kill you, like coke, cigarettes, or alcohol.

@McHotcakes
I actually met a lot of responsible and smart people that smoke weed every now and then. Maybe the difference is that smoking weed is legal over here in the Netherlands, so it's more common and a little more accepted. Most young people have at least tried weed once over here.
@sss133
"1- Growing up with a family full of smokers i've seen the effects of it eg people get extremely agitated, nervous or pedantic."
Depends on how much people smoke. If someone smokes all day he obviously get agitated or nervous when he can't smoke, because it has become a habit. I agree that smoking weed all day isn't a good choice at all, but smoking it every now and then is harmless. Not everyone smokes weed on regular basis, people tend to forget that.
"2-these people had jobs before they smoked."
There are also a lot of people that have a good job that smoke weed every now and then. It's not related. Why can't someone have a responsible job and smoke some weed in their weekend? Like I said already, it depends on how much someone smokes. Unless youre making a habit of smoking weed every day, it is not addictive.
"3-You're right i don't smoke generally but even if i do with them they don't wanna do anything than smoke more weed."
I have to agree that can be annoying, especially if you don't smoke yourself. I have experienced the same thing sometimes before. Smoking weed can make you experience things a little different. It's the same when someone drinks alcohol; when you're drunk some things are a lot more fun and interesting than when you're sober.
Do I blame weed for this? Nope. A lot of my friends smoke weed every now and then and they still want to do plenty of other fun stuff. It's your friends you should blame, not the weed.
"4-Being misinformed my old foster brother had a mental break down cos he started smoking, he later found out he had mental health problems that he didn't know about, had he kept smoking he could have lost it completely. he was lucky he found out these problems because he felt smoking helped him at first."
This sounds very unfortunate, but can you blame weed for it? When I don't know I'm allergic to milk and drink a lot of it, do I blame milk for getting sick? I don't think so, that would be ridiculous. It's my own body that is allergic to milk, or in your foster brothers case it's his own body that seemingly can't handle weed. I'm not saying it's his fault, because obviously he wasn't aware of that fact, but you can't blame weed either.
"Also Smoking and driving can cause car accidents, for my job if someone comes into my clinic stoned I am not allowed to touch them cos i can potentially kill and harm them."
Doing other things while driving, like using your cell phone or eating a happy meal can cause accidents too. Should we also ban cell phones and happy meals because of that? Basically anything that distracts you from concentrating on the road can cause accidents.
"And will power depends on the person eg I can take drugs and give up alot easier than the next person. You saying its far easier to quit is your perspective it may not apply to the next person."
That is most certainly true. I have smoked weed myself when I was 18 and I had no trouble at all to quit smoking weed. Another person may have a bit more difficulty to quit smoking weed. But still, it's their choice to smoke weed and I don't think other people should judge them because of that, as long as they function normal in society.
