I have a Sega CD (doesnt work) and I was wondering if any of you had either of these two. I never played the 32X but I've heard it killed the Sega CD...

Anyway I had Sonic CD(really good game by the way), Road Avenger and Double Switch (very hard and it was a FMV game which was kinda cool, at least it was original)

So leave any info or memories about these two Sega creations, or if you've played both - was the 32X much better than the Sega CD, and worth Sega bringing it out and killing both?

I have a Sega Cd as well, but like you it doesn't work. I only have 3 games for it. They are Tomcat ally, lethel enforcers, and Sewer Shark. I've never owned a Sega 32x/Sega Cd 32x. Always wanted one. MK2, T-Mek, and Star Wars 32x are the games I wish I had own if I own a 32x. I hope Sega makes a treasures game out of most great Sega Cd and Sega 32x games.

I have both the Sega CDX and the JVC X'EYE, both of which are Sega Genesis/Sega CD combo consoles.

I'd eventually like to get a 32X, and track down some of the games like Virtua Fighter, Kolibri, T-Mek, Star Wars Arcade, Doom, MK2 (duh), Space Harrier, and Zaxxon Motherbase...

I used to own a 32X... I only had two games for it. Virtua Racer and MK2. It was a good little addon for the genesis...unfortunately it didn't do very well.
I just purchased a Genesis/32X/Sega CD combo with 10 games and 2 controllers for $60 on EBay ... I'm pretty excited to play Sonic CD again!

Knuckles Chaotix was the only game that I played on the 32X. I rented it at blockbuster along with 32X, it was the best game for the system.

I owned a 32X but not a sega CD.

I loved Knuckles Chaotix on 32X. MKII seemed exactly like MKII on genesis. I couldn't see a difference. I also owned Doom but I don't remember how it played on the 32X.

I bought it when it just came out and was a shit load of cash to buy. What a huge mistake. A few good titles and that was it.

Yep, I used to own both of them. Had Sonic CD, Space Ace, Mortal Kombat, and Sewer Shark.

Only had MK2 on the 32X though, but that game was pure bliss. As for the fellow who said there was no difference between the 32X and Genesis versions of MK2, he quite obviously wasn't looking/listening very closely. The 32X version included the story boards/attract screens, brighter backgrounds/sprites, smoother animation, no longer had that ugly font the Genesis version did, had all the screams, announcements, Goro's Lair, etc...it was about as close to the arcade as you could get on any console back then.

I have both the Sega CD and 32X. I bought all my sega systems the days they were released and probably sunk over $500 into them. I only bought one game for the Sega CD, Prince of Persia - graphics not good. I had a few games for the 32X, virtua racer, knuckles chaotix, and maybe something else.

*Interesting Note* I also had that sonic and knuckles game with the LockOn adapter. When I had the whole thing setup, my genesis/CD/32X/LockOn concole was a foot and a half tall.

LOL, when I was younger I had the genesis II and Sega CD II but always wondered what this would look like: Genesis I with a Sega CD I attached underneath, with a 32X in the Genesis which would have have a Game Genie attached on top which can also have Sonic & Knuckles on top of that with another Sonic on top of that!

Just add Sonic & Knuckles, a Game Genie and another game! grin

*lets out a resonating HELL YEAH*

I have a 32X with Knuckles' Chaotix, MK2 and Doom for it. Doom was kind of sloppy... the PC version was much better. Knuckles' Chaotix was a cool game, but I've always wished I could be able to play as Sonic or Tails in the game.

MK2 for 32X probably was the best console port of MK2 ever made... The Saturn version, for instance, sucked ballz. Yeah, MK2 for 32X was great.

I tried that Game Genie+Sonic & Knuckles+other game trick, by the way. It's really funny.

I never owned a Mega CD although I've always wanted one.

Ah, the times!

I have a Sega Genesis/Sega CD/32x... but I lost the cable for the 32x right when I bought it a few years ago to complete the set (yeah, I'm an idiot) -- I can't believe you guys say you only had 2 or 3 Sega CD games. I have about 20 lying around in my room. Though, I don't have any 32x games. In hindsight, I'm not even sure why I bought it.

eah, on vacations in Texas I played the hell out of those, the crappy FMV game ruined it. Sonic CD was the best sonic title ever, they had a above average port of Lethal Enforcers on it, then they had those underrated games like Peter Pan, (it was fun, really). They had the biggest collection of Sega CD games I've seen in real life.

I have two Sega CDs series II, but one is dead and the other is dying. Sonic CD has to be the defining game for that system and my favorite of all the 2D sonic games (I'm still pissed off it wasn't included in the GameCube sonic collection) I bought my Sega CDs back in '96 when it was already dead, so I didn't exactly have much options in the way of finding games for it. I've got Sonic CD, Sewer Shark, and Tomcat Alley.

I would have loved to have a 32X. They looked really cool. I never got to try it out though. I heard if you stuck the Genesis MK2 in the 32X it would enhance the game, is this true or am I imagining things? I would have killed to have a home version of T-Mek. I spent SO much money on the arcade version of it.

How can that be? You needed a Megadrive (Genesis) to make it work.

If you have Sega CD get Lunar for it, and if you don't get the complete version with better graphics for PsOne 'Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.

I had a Sega CD, but not a 32X. I wanted one just for Knuckles Chaotix but it got really crap reviews. I believe it was originally a genesis game which was never released. You download it as a ROM - i think its called Sonic Crackers. Also, the crew from Knuckles Chaotix star as a team in the newest sonic game - Sonic Heroes but mighty the Echidna is missing.
