Only because DOA5 is easier for new players.

Really? Well, TTT2 is more like a party tournament game where DOA5 has story mode and other nice things to strengthen the series. The Tekken series already has alot going on for it, so that TTT2 is missing a few things could easily be disappointing to players, as they expect more from it.

It's also why I choose to get DOA5 first, because the one thing that TTT2 has that I want is Kunimitsu, however, she won't be coming out soon, while DOA5 has ALOT of new stuff.

For Tekken the learning curve is STEEP

Exactly. It's easier to pick up for new players. Tekken at it's core, is much harder but a lot better.

You should've played DOA4. Difficult as fuck. But fun

DOA has always been "Easy to learn, hard to master", kinda like MK is now.
Tekken has always been rather technical which makes it hard to pick up.

Played DOA 5, It's alright. Has some cool elements and what not. Story is quite long and challenging. I like that to... However. I feel the story tie ins were quite odd. It was a good idea but everything leading up until the end was kinda left field. Can't say I liked the story mode much. Not to mention arcade has no ending videos which is a bummer. I kinda hoped it would. There is pretty much no Extra stuff outside practice, screen shot mode, and online. There is also a Tag Feature like TTT2, but the downside is you can't have 2 human players on 1 team. Only you and AI... Bummer. I really think this game could of been as good as TTT2 if not better. The roster is also too small. Overall, 7.5 for the game. Definitely not worth 60 bucks. Maybe 30 but not 60.

For Tag Battles, it can be 4 player...

Wonderful game I'm having a blast with it.

I dunno, I personally think that it's way better than DOA 4. I like it alot, though I'm not sure how much that opinion will remain once I'm done with story mode.

Still though, the graphics are great, the backgrounds are awesome, the characters are still really fun to use and the new characters are a blast. I still hate the fact that there won't be any DLC for the game, but as it is, I think that survival mode will keep me playing for a good long while.

Not sure why, but Tekken Tag Tournament 2 hasn't held my interest nearly as much. Both are great fighting games, both are technically sound and well made, and I'd give both of them somewhere around a 9 out of 10.

Neither are revolutions in the genre, and even calling them evolutions would be a stretch, but they're still great games that are a lot of fun to play. I'll take that.

how's kasumi in this game. what new moves does she have. who's her tag partner in this game.

how's rig in this game. does he play like Hwoarang from tekken. since they both use Tae Kwon Do. who's his partner. how's his throws.

She's pretty balanced. Her moveset changed somewhat and has more Teleports with her Cherry Blossoms and ninpo.
Here Tag Partner has always been Ryu :P
Rig is a pretty cool character. He is the Hworang of DOA but he isn't really cheap like him. Tag Partner is Bass.

My two favourite characters are Kasumi and Hayate, sister and brother, and they're not even tag partners... sucks. I like Ayane and Ryu too, but not as much.

They game is pretty fun...but I feel that it is a lot harder than DOA4 to me. I've never had a hard time playing that game but this one is making me sweat haha.

Wow, really? I feel like this one is a lot easier than DOA4, which I thought was way harder than DOA3. DOA3 was my favorite in the series for a long time, but this one just might top it.

I do NOT regret having bought DOA5! :D
But holy moly it is tough even on the lower difficulties! Not at all like other fighting games, but then again, Team Ninja loves making tough games. :P
Kasumi moves smoothly and is so far my favourite of the bunch, though Ayane's got some pretty awesome spin kick moves!

The Story Mode is pretty good but tough.

It's not that Story Mode is tough... well, it is tough, but I don't have too much trouble defeating the opponents, it's more having to do the bonus missions and THEN defeat the opponents I have trouble with. XD

But it's fun none the less. ;D

Yeah, I think that I got pretty far before I had to finally give up on one or two of the bonus missions. I like the difficulty progression, but now I feel like I'm definitely in to the deep end of the pool.

Still liking what I've seen of this game so far! I'm curious about Survival mode though. For one, it doesn't let you input your own name in the leaderboard, which kinda stinks since I'm not the only one that plays this mode, but I've done it on easy and it ends at 10 wins. The nice part is that you get a new costume for winning.

I really hope that there are some cool rewards for winning on the harder difficulty settings. Does anyone know?

Done with Story Mode and done with all the Bonus Missions along it. But damn, the very last one was tough! Had to take a break from it and come back after a while before I could pull it off, but I did it. :D
And DAYUM Kasumi's modern ninja outfit looks awesome!

Her new outfit is hot.

how does the version of Virtua Fighter characters compare to there doa counterparts. what i mean are they better in there own series or in this series. are they harder to play as or easier.
