I missed work today because i over slept. Oh well I needed a day to relax and get my mind off the shit that's been going on around me. Its almost the weekend and I can finally see my girlfriend after like a month and a half. It's not easy being apart from someone you love for this long. AHHHHHHH i'm gonna have the best time with her lol.

I absolutely annihilated that art history exam this morning. And I stayed out til 2 am last night... at a drag show. It was quite interesting, and scary, too. I win at college.

Ekphrasis opening night was a huge success! We had some techinical problems but the people didn't notice and loved it! There was one eerie thing that occurred though; when my girlfriend went to sign the guest book, she found a message directed at me...

When I was younger I didn't pay attention to politics at all. Then I decided to stop being ignorant and wow what a mistake. Parabolas? isn't that like Algebra? My D was in science, My C was in geometry honors, my other C was in computers, because the teacher hates me, imagine a ghetto black chick as a teacher, that's my computers teacher, and she hates every last one of us because we find her annoying.

I can't believe that my college does this lottery process type thing and 10,600 kids applied for lottery numbers. The numbers for suites (six beds, three rooms, one bathroom) went up to 800. That means that if your number was 700 or less, you got a suite with five other people. Apartments (three beds, two rooms, one bathroom) went up to 700. Normal double housing for the rest of us went up to 3,000. Anyone between 3,001 and 10,600 who applied for housing is now going to be put into a hotel. I don't understand. I can't believe I was allowed to live on campus my freshman year, and now I'm going to not have housing next year. What the hell is wrong with Rutgers?

It's not just that college, most colleges like mine have lotteries like that for suites. Now it's not as fucked as that but it's all a lottery for many colleges when it comes to suites

On topic, I have a single room in a two-person suite for next year. The dorm's new, too. Only built last year.

Yes, Algebra, I'm only a freshman. I'm good at algebra except parabolas. However, when my dad saw my end grade for the class (which was ALSO a D) he made me waste my entire two week vacation in my house studying parabolas, and when I wasn't studying them, I was hardly allowed to go outside.
End result? I missed everything new that happened (there was even a fight that I missed) but! I learned how to solve for the intercepts and vertex on a parabola.

And I didn't do well with parabolas cuz I didn't really study for the tests that had them on it (my teacher made a lot of the tests last quarter with parabolas and their formulas we're worth half of them) but now we're in geometry. I'ma study more obviously now. Ugh, I haven't studied ever before... It used to be that things would just come to me.
