Just stand up, quit making a big deal out of nothing. They just want you to give respect to your country and not be a commie. The "One nation under God" part could be taken in multiple ways. "God" could mean the creator of the universe, it could mean the unity of spirits, or it could mean the guv'ment. However you want to look at it. But the point is, if your teacher asks you to do something, then do it. As long as you're not being raped or mutilated, it's fine.

I see it more of as an oath to be loyal to your country, rather than some religious statement. The mentioning of 'God' doesn't bother me at all.

Whatever...if it really bothers you that much, just explain it to your teacher/principal. You could probably work this issue all out and get on with your life.

Tekken Tag 2 seriously looks like its going to be the greatest game ever made. The soundtrack so far is amazing, the characters move incredibly more fluid, and the new tag bounds and tag throws are unlike anything I've ever seen.

Seriously, this is supposed hot, humid beach weather, not scary, deadly storming weather.

I think your boyfriend was messing with you. A funnel cloud isn't going to pull a car towards it, let alone a moving vehicle going the opposite direction. It needs to be a developed tornado, and you need to be pretty close to it. When I lived in Missouri, we would get funnel clouds above our field all the time. Being idiots, we would also run as close as we could to them to get photos. Only one had ever developed into a full tornado in the 13 years I lived there, and I wasn't even in town that day.

Possibly. I think it was just how hard the wind was blowing against the car. But yet again, I had my eyes closed and curled up on his arm so I really don't know what was going on.

Like a Ford Taurus? Granted that he's one of the safest drivers I know, I'm really skeptical about his car. He's got it for quite a long time now.

The wind is just horrible with some of these storms though. Four or five years ago, we had to cut down one of the two trees that are in the front yard because we kept getting hit with this horrible strong storms for three days. I mean it's bad enough that the tree that's still out there, the branches are just what we have to be careful with since we have a parked car out right underneath it, but still... Granted that tornadoes are just killer, but even just strong thunderstorms pack things that makes you think a tornado ripped right through.
