Here's the first episode of my Dragon Age LP.

Any sort of feedback would be nice. I know I could probably talk a bit more, but it takes some getting used to doing commentary like this. I'm not aiming for something necessarily funny or informative; whatever happens will happen.

I'll fix the brightness for the next episode.

Damn I never felt so fat in my life.

It's 2:45 in the morning right now and I felt really hungry out of nowhere. So, I went into my kitchen and made myself a turkey sandwich. Mayo on both pieces of bread, 2 slices of turkey, cheese, two more slices of turkey, and cheese again. Ate that all up and washed it down with a glass of milk. Then I put everything away and noticed we have some Red Vines licorice sitting by the microwave so I grabbed myself at least 5 sticks of licorice and ate them all at once. I poured myself some more milk and drank it. THEN, I noticed the peanut butter out and I thought it would be a good idea to dip the licorice in the peanut butter and eat it that way. I did this with a couple of sticks of licorice and then I grabbed a spoon and shoveled up some more peanut butter to eat that. I washed all of it down with, again, more milk.

I'm so fortunate to have a high metabolism aha.

Do you have to talk WHILE you're playing the game? Or can you just record yourself playing the game and put your commentary in there afterwards?



I do too. It's how I'm just still around 100-105 pounds and my boyfriend gets jealous of it every single time he mentions about how he can't eat the certain foods he used to anymore. But do not take it for granted. And I am a superstitious person at times, I feel that bragging about having a high metabolism might not be so great.

It's just something you could take into consideration. You'll never know when it's going to stop working.

Me three. I've been gaining weight lately though, so I won't look like a complete stick, but I don't want to become overweight either, kind to find that central balance.

Typically, LPs have people talking whilst playing, but I'm sure others do the opposite so they can concentrate on gaming, and add-in more constructive comments later.
Regardless, I enjoy LPs where the game/commentary are simultaneous. MikeNnemonic's are pretty damn funny, as he leaves in the parts where he screwed up, and you can hear him getting flustered.

Overall, Ninja-Mime, you have a nice voice. A few moments (the beginning cutscene) were a little awkward as there was no speech at all, but when you did start talking, you sounded fine, and didn't come off as trying too hard (like tons of other LPs).
The video and sound quality were nice, too.

Better to be more reserved, than to not shut the hell up at all.
(In regards to the above videos...How the hell can you even attempt to play SH3 without first learning how to use the camera?!?! It's disorienting for the poor viewer to not use it)

Pondering if I want to purchase the Gears 3 season pass. The DLC is looking mighty good right now. Really excited about "RAAM's Shadow".

Haha. I'm no expert reviewer, and I've never done an LP so you can take any of my critiques with a grain of salt. I just give my own impressions...

Love that you're doing Fallout 3. I didn't recognize Tenleytown Plaza, as I never did Following in His Footsteps. I always bypassed that quest by helping Moriarty (or whatever his name is) at the Megaton bar. Later, when I went to the radio tower, there was a goddamn Super Mutant Overlord there, who killed me rapidly.

Obviously, the sound is a little poorer, but you sound fine. You're not one of those obnoxious LP-ers who seemingly love the sound of their own voice.
(Though I'm not a fan of reading notes in the game, whatever floats your boat.)

My biggest critique is you threatened poor Dogmeat!
Overall, though, pretty good. Is this your first playthrough of Fallout 3?

Cool voice is cool, definitely easy to listen to and it's nice that you don't talk too much or too little, it's enough to be able to enjoy the experience of the playthrough and the commentary as well. Great explanations too, especially isnce I know next to nothing about Dragon Age.

I'm also loving the, "stop talking, you're a rat" remark and the Matrix comments.

Pretty awesome stuff, especially for a first time doing it.

Cool. Such a great game (except for if you do the Operation: Anchorage quest or Mothership Zeta.)
I swear to God, my game crashed at least 20 times whilst attempting to finish Op:Anch.... At least you get the excellent Chinese stealth armor, but the quest sucks ass.

I haven't gotten that far, episode 21 is the latest I've uploaded, but I'm up to 33 in videos, and I'm planning on doing all of the DLC...(I've just left the GNR building for Rivet City to meet my dad).

Thanks for all the feedback. I've heard plenty of really annoying or obnoxious LPs. I'm glad to hear I'm not one of those guys.

Wow, I graduated high school in 2005 and was at my all time skinniest then. I was 5'8" and weighed 119lbs. Now I'm 24 years old, and I've gained some weight but still am very skinny. I'm 5'8" and weigh 140lbs now, my arms are still scrawny, and still got a flat stomach. So, could still gain a few more pounds.

5'8 and 140 lbs. is not underweight.
