Went to Gamestop. Looked through new cases of games to read the little booklet inside and when I opened a new Batman Arkham City one, there was the code for Catwoman and I snagged it and used earlier today and it worked.
I was like ch'yeah
One time I opened the DS case for Resident Evil: Deadly Silence at GameStop and the game was in there so I snagged it. Am I a bad person.

No my friend. Just people at GS are a bit ard-tarded.

I swear, I find the strangest shit on tumblr sometimes.

Skeptical Skarlet?

She's cute!

Have you ever played a game that is pretty entertaining yet extremely boring at the same time?
It's kinda how I feel about Skyrim. I enjoy playing it but it is boring and fun at the same time.
No, this post confuses and intrigues me and I'm being serious, please elaborate further
And I don't mean in an "Animal Crossing" kind of way where what you are doing is boring but somehow I find it extremely fun in a "this game is hypnotizing" kind of way.
I guess what I am saying is... A game where you go in to playing it knowing you enjoy what you are going to get to do in the game, yet doing it is boring in the game yet you enjoy it anyway because it is something you enjoy in general no matter how it is presented.
I'll use Fable as an example. Fable 1 was amazing in pretty much every way. Fable 2 however, I found to be extremely boring and easy gameplay-wise, yet I played it anyway and enjoyed it because I like the Fable series.
I like all of the options I am allowed to have in Skyrim but while actually playing I feel like it is executed in a pretty boring way. It's not that the combat is bad, it's just nothing that makes me say "Woah".

Mass Effect had that effect on me. I was playing it saying to myself "this game is fun, but when the hell is it going to end or get better?" I constantly felt like what I was doing was boring, yet I continued to play the game and enjoyed the game despite finding it boring. It's really hard to describe it. The gameplay of Mass Effect felt tedious at times, and the story sometimes dragged, but I still really enjoyed it, just that I wasn't blown away by any of it and at times it felt more like a chore than a game. A game should never feel like homework, where you have to say "great, one more chapter done, 20 more to go" or anything along those lines. Instead it should be like "wow, that level was amazing, I can't wait for the next one". For that reason I have no intentions on going back and playing Mass Effect again. I enjoyed my run through it, but that was it for me. Heavy Rain was another game that I enjoyed yet found boring too. These were both good games that I did enjoy, but at the same time I didn't enjoy, if that makes any sense whatsoever. As compared to God of War which I've played numbers one and two about 5 times each already, I couldn't ever see myself going back to play Mass Effect or Heavy Rain again, not because they sucked, and not because I didn't like them, I beat both games, but found both to be tedious at times and doing nothing to get me truly drawn in. I'll probably get flamed for saying that Mass Effect and Heavy Rain were tedious, but at points I felt like I just wanted the games to end already. That's just my opinion. Mass Effect and Heavy Rain were good games, and I enjoyed them, yet at the same time I didn't enjoy them, confusing, yes?

I think I've had Lords of Shadow for like 8 months and haven't beaten more than two chapters. Am I crazy?
Maybe a little bit
It's a sick game, I loved it!

Kung Lao/Smoke main. Maker of puns and bad jokes.
unless it comes out next year, then I'll get Skyrim with Student Aid money...

I'll jump back in! I've been backlogging my games lately. Perfect Dark has been getting my attention.

Perfect Dark was a pretty cool game. It always reminded me of the female version of 007.
And I always seem to cycle through my games. Play a game for a while and then play a different one. It keeps me from getting bored of them and having the need to get new ones.

That's what I do. I still have to beat Ninja Gaiden 2, Bayonetta, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Batman Arkham City. I play one for a few days, then play another, then play another, etc. So, I have a few games I need to beat, but I'll eventually beat them all. I'm almost done with Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bayonetta (short games) so then I'll move onto other ones.

AAAAGH! Ninja Gaiden 2! I've been avoiding that for a while!
Red Dead Redemption, Limbo, Tomb Raider Underworld. I need to get it together.

Skyrim doesn't seem that interesting. Not sure why it's getting so much hype.
Play it and you'll understand.

Shao Kahn did nothing wrong
Yeah, not my cup of tea. I don't know. It just felt boring.
I just went to my neighbors house to give Skyrim a shot.

Explain. I need to know whether this game is good for me or not before I try to buy it in a few dozen months after the price drops.
