so your saying the community has degraded over time to the point where they are not interested in playing it but they just to be in that hype and talk about the game and also some stupid shit. cool i understand for many its like that, maybe mko doesnt have alot of hardcore players that are down for tournaments and being active in that sort of shit. I personally am not i play mk but not really online maybe sometimes. long ago i would post in the online forum or what it was called at that time to set up games with users and they fucking laughed they are all like nah dont wanna play go look somewhere else. I was pissed cause this is a fucking mk site.

And right now i opened up mku in another tab. note that I AM NOT a member of that site and NEVER will be. but there are 50 users online and over 200 visitors. And when did that site start?

as much as i hate that site why is it more active than mko? mko has been here for a hella long time. We should be at the top. I know at one point we had lots of dedicated players. Where did many of these people go. Why are there not many people wanting to play. Why isnt there enough people to start and continually keep a tournament running or just playing for fun.

and im no hardcore player maybe one day i will get more into it but i thought we had more people that were.
but whatever maybe shit will change

It really sucks that we get only 2 and 3. Silent Hill (1) is fantastic, and should have a little graphical update. At least I have it on PSN.

P.S. I'll bet Konami will definitely be assholes and make a trophy (rightfully so) for beating Extreme X (which should be equivalent to a platinum trophy..)

Yeah this site has slowed down between games...I remember the last time it happened. And the time before that. And the time before that. And the time before that!

These fluctuations aren't exactly uncommon at MKO, particularly when there isn't much new game related content to come out. Most of us have stuck around because we either get along as a community, or love trolling certain members.

Meh, it's quiet, but whatever. I like it here. So I'll be sticking around.

I did what the sticky told me to and did a manual update and I was fine. Game seems to crash less often too.

@ Undiscovered Thank you for understanding what I was trying to get at, good on you sir. The more involved players have moved on to TYM even several novice players that wanted to get better at the game left for there, I saw several of them that used to post here, when I checked TYM the other day.
The only more competitive player that stops through here is OSU 16 Bit, most likely for nostalgia I presume and to comment on the podcasts he does.

In other news, I'm really annoyed.....my mom says such stupid shit....sometimes when we screw up she likes to say things like....you all weren't supposed to be here anyway....all my bro did was drive her car and the alternator went bad.


She has said this directly to us and indirectly.....today was indirectly, but I heard it.

In regards to this site dying, I had left because I thought it was too quiet around here, but I came back because I like the community. The frequent users of the site are really cool people, and I generally get along with just about everyone here, something I can't say about any other forums I've ever been on. It's a pretty cool community. Sure it always has its quiet months, but every year I always notice the spike in attendance from users once their interests come back to MK. I don't even stick around here for the MK related posts anymore, really. I actually get more fun out of the MK Fan Submission threads as well as the General Discussion threads.

I don't even really care about the Mortal Kombat portion of this website. I wish the general discussion board was more happening.
