OK, I will take the blame for this, as I started it. However, on the technicality the DPs still should have gone to Shyriu. That's all I'm saying. I apologize, big guy. I for one like the rating system, but I feel that feedback should be removed (even though I use it fairly often). Why give users the opportunity to criticize our decisions on a third pathway? I mean, they already have the PM system and this thread, they really don't need three ways to tell us that we missed a good post or that someone was wrongfully skulled. No need to get so down about it dude, life's too short for that.



Again, not the answer. You'll just have people bitching to re-instate it. If me pointing something out translates to me not taking my job seriously, then I'm guilty as charged, but just understand that people not reading and abiding by the FAQ ultimately makes the system fail. I say code it that upon joining every new user has to read the FAQ and accept the terms before they can post and PM others. That way, noobs know the rules before they can even do anything, and if they don't follow, then skull/ban them. I hate to say it, but I think we need to crack down as a whole here.

It was more about how you decided to use the feedback system to score my rating as "unfair" on some technicality when I was being a messenger for the guy who runs this site and also how you thought it was good to leave a "fair" rating to Megababe's with the reason of "lol." I wasn't aware random awards to people bitching about not having DPs were more fair than things with half a purpose.


But I digress... it's a pointless system ran by pointless people for other pointless people. No one wants to make it better or take it seriously, and I'm just tired of trying.

As the system is run by people, the whole system is essentially flawed by people.Even getting rid of this current system won't change the opinion of a "bad post" to "good post." Users should know this system is not run by a computer that controls who/when to give out points. It's just people, who place their opinion on what they feel on a post. Whether an average user likes it or not, it's similar to a supreme court giving a majority opinion or a dissenting opinion. To get rid of the whole dp system, it weakens mod powers, and makes their opinion on what post is good or bad null and void basically. Then also, what is the point of shadow priests? nothing.

As for the feedbacks, I think it's a fair way for the community to respond to all the mods, rather than PMing each one. Whether a person uses it wisely or not, it's not the feedbacks fault, its the persons. Getting rid of feedbacks wouldn't give much people to voice themselves w/o the forum knowing. Thus causes a tension in threads.

I believe in most likely whatever feedback you got for the 5 dps were warrented to being absurd/bad because those dps themselves were not so much given to a good post. Whether those dp's was proposed to be a prize for whomever, I still tend to believe that giving those dps, got what it deserved. It was a simply for fun, and that some feedback, just like the one I gave followed that "fun." If one was to give "YOU MODS SUCK FOR GIVING OUT DPS RANDOMLY YOU _____ ___ ______" then it's something different.

In conclusion, the system is only at fault because people can't respect each others opinions. Users to mods, and mods to users.

This is what i have been saying all along. It doesnt have to be that way though. All you would have to do is make some changes. This site would be a better place if it was put in the right direction.

If it were given for intelligent posts, in the first months of me comming to MKO I would've been warrior. If was to give DP and Skullz, I'd give a lot more of the two, given that many intelligents posts are ignored and so are a lot of offensive comments too.
