It is important we keep a professional outlook, but also have some interaction and input from the community. The ANTM contest was designed so that everyone could see what basically goes on in a typical meeting in which a candidate is selection, only the contest is a bit deeper and obviously more drawn out, and allows for everyone to know exactly what's going on, rather than it being a surprise like usual.

Well, actually, the fact that nobody knows what the candidate wrote, send or did is a flaw when trying to be transparent. The only thing that the users that are not involved see is who passed and who didn't. So instead than seing what happens in the competition, they are just told who won't get it with a minimal explination.

The contestants were given their challenges publicly, so you did see what was going on, the only thing you did not see were the answers given.
Oh and a congratulations are in order

The individual results of each competitor were not displayed publicly because the last thing the thread needed and I needed for that matter was to hear people complain that they thought the wrong choices were made. Futhermore, none of the weekly challenges even went to judging because either people left mko, or didn't participate that week at all.

People will carve a giant copper statue in your honor...but you'll get struck by lightening 3 days later....Well that Sucks.
So what happens to the competition now? Are we to leave it and have the moderators surprise us with a new SP, like always? 5A brings up a good point ... although it would have been contradictory to not have the people who tried to get into the competition become an SP, since the mark of a good leader is to be the first person willing to fail or succeed. Still, those who aggressively chase power will always abuse it. This competition has brought out the ying and yang of the contestants, and the only way there could have been no bias decisions were when the challenges were point based and not linguistically or artisically judged.
I'm not saying the competition as a whole is bad itself, what I'm trying to get across is that if users have a problem with something (whether is be the judging, the contestants, the competition), it's more than childish to take it out upon each other. Can you count how many people have left? In the process of searching for a minor moderator, we lose two Portal Gaurds. How do you explain that? Perhaps we should just continue this competition, congratulate the new SP, and then next year we can have all the kinks and flaws in the contest fixed.
The grand question is: is there NO perfect solution for finding a new moderator?
EDIT: Trish had cancer? God, I feel like a fool. Please disregard my ENTIRE post. I had no idea that she was that sick .. I apologize for my antagonization of the mods and the contestants.

The departure of those Portal Guards was merely a coincidence... it didn't really have anything to do with the contest. The_Truth had been on an extended break before the contest anyhow, so he really hadn't been a factor modding wise.
There's really no perfect way of finding a moderator or Shadow Priest... this contest was a way to "help" us get to know the people that wanted the position and that we were looking at for it, and also for a little excitement and interaction with the community. It was a good idea while it lasted, and you must admit it did get people talking and create a little excitement. Though the bads might outweigh the goods, the idea itself is still excellent and it will be attempted again in the future, with further planning and hopefully less unfortunate circumstances.

Lately Crow's posts have scarred the crap outta me. He seems like someone who speaks only serious talk. Like Lime Johnson.

In your future, I see...
You will become a grand dictator, conquering the world, then making your way to other planets. People will make a monument of you, out of Diamond! The next day, you trip on a ridiculously long staircase you built and die. Someone blows up the monument (with many, many nukes) and then the world goes to shit.

Firefox is more secure and safe, but also has horrible memory leaks.
IE7 is less secure and safe, but seems to load up faster.
I use Firefox for about 98% of the things I do online that need a browser and IE for the other 2%
It depends on what your preferences are really.

And Meredith Monroe is one pretty gal still! I had a big celebrity crush on her back when she was on Dawson's Creek when it originally aired.
Only thing that brought her to mind all of a sudden is I'm watching an episode of "Masters of Horror" right now, and shes in it!
