What the fuck is "scream metal"?
Among all the sub genres of Heavy Metal that i know, i have never heard about "Scream Metal"...
You can be refering to Death Metal, Grind Core, Doom Metal (if you're refering to Doom, i'll kill you), or some brutal Thrash Metal band..
The Death Grunt is a classical Metal caracteristic. It can express pain, rage, depression, or simply hate. If you don't like it, then get off. I hate Mika's voice, (i find it stupidly irritating), but i don't just log on an Internet Forum that has a massive musical taste culture, and start posting my reasons for hatred over Mika.
If the Death Grunt makes your ears bleed, well poor boy, get off.

The "Death Grunt" is fucking annoying...And it's one of the reasons there is less interest in Metal now then there was back on, oh, say the 1970'-80's....Just because you are in pain doesn't mean you have to scream into a microphone for 4 minutes straight...you can do what REAL musicians do and SAy how you feel, not scream "KILLLLLLLLL!!!!" a million times
As for pred, i did that post because i watched a video on youtube called "Rap Sucks" and i felt it was one sided, so i filled in what is wrong with Metal to kind of make up fo the lack of comparison

Screaming ruins songs for me. I just find it annoying and I don't want to listen to it. By the time the songs half way in, and the singer won't shut the hell up, I just turn it off.
