"Tis true my form is something odd, But blaming me is blaming God. Could I create myself anew, I would not fail in pleasing you. If I could reach from pole to pole, Or grasp the ocean with a span, I would be measured by the soul, The mind's the standard of the man."

Bah. You beat me to it. wink

It really does confirm what most of us have thought and said. His past abuses caught up with him and contributed to his heart disease. In a way I'm glad that there wasn't any indication hat Eddie had fallen back into those self distructive ways as I feared when I initially heard about his passing. He successfully battled his demons and kept to his faith. Four years of being sober and clean mush have been a daily struggle, but he managed to do it.

for all those who want to know or haven't found out yet the cause of death was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. The examiner said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

R.I.P Eddie

looks like you beat me to it so Thank you for putting up this info. smile

Hmm, I don't recall that, sure post wasn't edited?

If not, beat me to it. I know most of us feel bad about his passing, but I can't begin to fathom the grief of his wife and family. Condolences to them.

damn... a friend told me that Eddie Guerrero died today, and I didn't believe him, so i checked WWE.com as soon as i got home, and found it was true... i still can't believe it...

i'm happy that the WWE finally gave Eddie a championship run before he passed away; he definitely deserved the push and i don't think as many fans would have realized what a great wrestler he was and what a great loss this is to sports-entertainment had he not held the championship, as sad as that may seem

regardless of his accomplishments in the ring, this is a tremendous loss, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family

RIP Eddie. Whenever I see Liu Kang's hair it reminds me of Eddie's mullet.

Hold on, stop the whole planet!

Did I hear that correct? Heart failure due to long-term effects of drugs? I thought they would have stopped. Argh, science, you will always be wrong!

Glad he's dead personally. It can serve as a warning to people of what drug use can do even if you clean up. If it keeps even one person from using it was worth it. Thats why I'm straightedge for life.

You are disgusting. He entertained millions and brought some joy into their lives. Why would anyone be glad he is dead ? It's just wrong.

Everyone in their lives has their vices and their own demons to handle, it isn't your place to comment on it, deal with your own and respect the dead.

It is truly a loss to the entertainment industry, he will be missed by many people. My deepest and most sincere condolences go out ot his family.
God rest your soul Eddie.
