I was so shocked when I saw this at the bottom of my tv screen on The Score. I had too look twice to see if it actually said Eddie. I can't believe he's gone he has been in it for sooooo long. A lot of wrestler's have been passing away lately, lots of them are young too such as Owen Hart (Tragedy), British Bull Dog, Eddie, Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect there was another that was in the newspaper I think his name was The Crusher only he was 70 I think so it sorta made sense, but lots of them die young which is sad. Eddie was amazing when I used to watch wrestling he was always fun too watch b/c I loved the cruiserweights back when they had WCW b/c they did all the acrobatic (sp?) stuff and well Eddie was a high flyer. He will be missed I thought he was older than 38 though since he's been in wrestling for so long.

WTF!!! Oh man, that is terrible! I'm speechless. When I read the thread title i was like what? Hoping it was a sick joke. Man, i just watched him last night, too. He was an amazing wrestler and entertainer. Unbeleivable.

God bless you Eddie. You'll always be my wrestling "Papi."

Man, this is too horrible. I keep on praying that it's just a sick joke but it's not, I'm always excited to see him on my tv screen, but now I never will. You should always appreciate everything in life because it could be taken away in the blink of an eye.

Well, another wrestler on the prime of his age (considering human lifespan, 30 something years old is YOUNG) to die on somehow strange conditions. How many Eddie Guerreros, Chris Candidos, etc do we need to see pass away before people start noticing that whatever it is that they do to stay fit and work every night to entertain us is taking more from them than it should? Should we really push the envelope with the ECWs, sick bumps from the top of steel cages and crap like that if it means that the people putting their health on the line to entertain us will die prematurely?

Andre The Giant, died at 46 for heart failure.
The British Buldog, died at 36 for heart failure.
Chris Candido, died at 33 after a blood clot he gained while entertaining his fans.
Big Dick Dudley, died at 34 for heart failure.
Eddie Guerrero, died at 38 probably because of heart failure.
Owen Hart, died at 34 while entertaining his fans.
Ravishing Rick Rude, died at 40 for heart failure.
Rocco Rock, died at 49 for heart failure.
Yokozuna, died at 34 for heart failure.

Are we worth that these people live less than half the average human lifespan just to entertain us? Unfortunately, the list isn't restricted to these examples I posted here.

This is too much...i got a txt from my buddy this morning saying something about eddie's dead...i jumped on my comp. hoping that this was some kind of angle (a la taker), but sure enough, main page on wwe.com: Eddie Guerrero 1967-2005...my first thought was "holy shit...this can't be happening". And the thing that adds insult to injury..i was pretty sure Eddie was slated to win the WWE Championship on SD! Friday

Eddie Guerrero..1967-2005 You will truly be missed, mi amigo..mi famila...R.I.P

Same. I keep hearing and seeing that he's passed on, but it's so hard to believe that it's him, that it prevents me from getting a full grasp on the fact that he has.

Check the wwe.com main site, they've posted a bit more news and a press conference with Vince himself and Chavo, Jr.

This sucks. Today, I'm back happy to home after a meet-up with my wrestling friends of Barcelona (and one guy of Zaragoza, very fan of Eddie), and the first news of wrestling that I saw was that, and my blood froze. I can't believe, we expected to see in live Eddie Guerrero next week in Sheffield (England) the next WWE Champion... but now, we can't see him nevermore sad sad sad Eddie was one of the best wrestlers in the WWE, and the best latin wrestler ever... we never forget you, always our champion!!!

I got to agree with you there. Personally I haven;t followed wrestling for quit some time, but I used to love it. All the over the top stuff now adays just doesn't seem as entertaining as it was, back in the old days. Where it was about the wrestling, and not the over the top shit. Given most of it has to do with the demographics of the people who attend the shows now. Which tend to be people out to pdrink, and have a good time, at over the top shit. They don't apprecite where wrestling came from like a lot of people do.

You can't rule out the possabilty of an OD though as well. Just look at Brian Pillman. The way things are runned in wrestling. Theres plenty of pressure on wrestlers to get bigger. i think it's become noticble with Eddy when he jumped from WCW to the WWE. If thats the case it's defintly time for something to be done. We complain about how much sterids have ruined the sport of baseball, but yet pro wrestling probably has an even bigger problem with it as compared to baseball. Wrestlers aren't required to pass drug tests that check for steriods, and vince doesn't want to either, because he knows a lot of his talent would check possative for it. He actually refuses to book live shows in Ohio (I think not exactly sure of the state), because they are the only state that madatorily requires any performer to pass a drug test before they can perform/compete in the state. Even if it's only for one night.

I just can't believe it. This is one of the biggest shocks I've had in a while. Eddie looked to be in good health this past week on Smackdown and to hear he's gone is just....I don't know... I'll never forget him.
