Good to have a topic that can be moderated properly.

Anyway, a question I have is this:
With the next gen consoles obviously comes more processing power. Because of this, will games take longer to load (because games will contain much more of, well, everything), or will the loading times be shorter?

I guess it mostly depends on the processing speed. Hopefully games won't have ridiculously long loading times...


Anyways, I'd like to start off by saying that most (if not all) of this "Xbox 360 will be better/PS3 will be better" stuff is just hype + fanboyism, plain and simple...

Things change, specs can change, prices can change, game line-ups can change and all of these things will be factors in whether one system is better than the other...

The best way to see which one(s) is better [for you] is to wait until they come out and play them yourselves...

Although, I'm probably getting an Xbox 360 because it has lots of games that I want, all of it's games will have custom soundtracks and it's coming out first (at a lower price). But like I said, things can change, so right now, my decision isn't "rock solid"...

Why is it that nowadays, every game system is on it's side? What if it falls over and breaks? What do ya do then? I think the systems should be posistioned where it can't tip over.

Actually, all of them can be placed either on their side or horizontally...

The whole "standing on their side" thing is probably to save space or something...

it is a good idea but what if someone has a really good quesiton and no one notices it because it doesn't have its own thread. Usually topics with their own thread get more feedback

1.)How much will PS3 cost?

2.)Also can you play ps2 games on the ps3 and save them as well?

3.)Will we need to buy a memory card for the ps3?

Shit I can't find the Delay of Xbox 360 on Gamespot.com. Well they said in an interview it will be coming out in 2006. I'll try to find it.

I don't see anything about the Xbox 360 being delayed. It only says that Midway won't have any games for it when it does launch. And they also mention the game Stranglehold...

100% false. Confirmed to come out in November. I'm excited about it having the faster GPU this time once again.

Wow, I never realized how ugly the PS3 controllers are. When are they going to come up with a better design for their controllers, it's like a waste of plastic or something... :/

I dont care how ugly they are, i'm more bothered about how good they are to use seeing as your not going to be able to use PS2 controllers.

This isn't a flame but the PS3 has the most powerful and faster GPU than the Xbox 360, The Xbox 360 GPU is at 500mhz the PS3 GPU is at 550mhz, And is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra's combined which is the most powerful GPU you can get, not only that but the Xbox 360 has to share it's graphical memory the PS3 doesn't, this is if the specs for both Xbox 360 and PS3 are 100 % correct as they claim, we will have to wait until the games come out to see if Sony and Nvidia can back up the specs with the games unlike the Emotion engine of the PS2, although looking at the Unreal and Fight night 3 demos which were in real time it seems that Sony's and Nvidia's claims have merit even more so if the Killzone 2 trailer was developed in realtime as Sony claim.

Q1, Sony say it' will be the same as the PS2 when that was launched.

Q2, Yes you can play both PS1 and PS2 games as for saving them i'm sure you can it would be pointless to play them if you cant save.

Q3 This i have no clue about, nothing was mentioned about how the PS3 saves games, It does have a slot for a removable HDD drive but this was not linked with saving games i guess we will have to wait untill more details come out.

Someone recently asked if the 360 is backwards compatable with XBOX games your answer is no sorry.
