Ahhh, yes, remember the "Gay MK" thread back from before the release of the newest MK? I sure do. Those were good times indeed and I was positively surprised of how many gay/bi/other non-straight people who were actually on this site. It was awesome to talk about MK from that point of view, share eachothers' thoughts and opinions in an alternate fashion, something I have never experienced on any other gaming forum.

I'm not one to generalize or put people in boxes, but it was just nice to know that I could be open about who I am and have people on here feeling the same, and it was just overall incredibly fun.

I check this site daily, but I rarely post on here anymore, and when I do, it's lacking anything constructive, in all honesty. To me, this site is slowly dying out... well, at least until the next MK is announced, then I hope to see it blossom once more.

However, to get to the point. I was wondering if there's still some of those gay/bi/whatever people still on this forum, and maybe some of the many newcomers are as well?

In any case, my thoughts are for your peeps. ^^

I don't see it reasonable to share the MKO community in different cliques based on sexuality, gender, skin color or things like that. It's unessential.

And btw, MKO is not dying out, it goes like that when there isn't a new game coming out. You should know this by now.

I'm tolerant as fuck though, My person that cuts my hair is Gay and he is a cool guy, one thing that annoys me is when people speculate about games characters sexuality, like there real people.

I think that is a problem, actually. The fact that you think "heterosexuality is standard until otherwise proven." That kind of mindset is exactly what makes people feel ostracized and unnatural. I don't think talking about a character's sexuality is the most interesting of topics, but I don't think it's right to tell people that all the characters are straight until otherwise proven unless you're the developer of the game or something, haha.

In all honesty. Gay/Str8 it don't matter to me. You're all still considered human/people to me. I respect all brands of DNA. I also have siblings who are Bi. & I know a few users here who are Gay, but will keep their names Disclosed out of Respect. I pretty much try & get along with every one. 1+ about gay men or women from what I've seen. Remain Loyal Companions. Which is more then I can say for most of the People who play/cheat on their GF's & BF's. I myself, am str8. But i also like i said. Don't have a catagory for these types of people. I respect you all as people. Period.

As a gay guy, my point of view is the same as that of anyone else. Especially when it comes to something as non-sexual as a video game. While it's nice that you can have other people to identify with, I don't see how it should have any effect on actual discussion.

I personally found that "Gay MK" thread to be ridiculous to the point where it was almost embarrassing, and it would have been exactly the same if it were from a straight "point of view". 50 pages talking about how sexy certain characters are is stupid no matter who's saying it.

Challenge stereotypes, don't reinforce them. IMO.

That being said, I still think it's great that MKO is so welcoming in that sense. It seems like it would be rare to find in a video game community.

I will say it's weird that other MK sites call MKO a bunch of trolls (so I've been told), but yet we accept users of all different types.

But yeah staring a thread for an exclusive group of users is a double edged sword. Trust me I would never start a thread for users from the south because that would just be dumb.

I learned something new about Ninja_Mime.

You guys are everywhere on this site. I'll call it: MK has the biggest gay community. If it's true, it's one of the coolest things ever due to numerous people who may be oblivious to it. Kinda like another franchise and their intended audience. You all know what franchise I mean; I'm kind of in love with it right now...
