I've decided I don't want to be in this one. I've thought it over quite a bit, and with the repitition of these boards coupled with the poor management, I don't want to be part of this contest. I'm busy elsewhere on the web and real life. So, I won't be able to actually pay attention to the thread. As they say in Shadowrun: I've got better things ta do than t' piss in my own face.

While 'Blade's suggestion ain't that bad, what actually happens is that as of Nov. 1st, a tournament takes place between 100 MKO members/mods/staff. How do people advance to the next rounds? By receiving votes from practically anybody that wants to vote (except myself, of course). Anybody else have any doubts/questions, feel free to ask.



LOL, while I'm extremely tempted to do that, I wouldn't want to run the risk of someone (not Shoe) bitching to the mods to close the thread or something 'cause I included 'em after they had directly expressed that they DIDN'T wanna participate.

Seeing as how this'll begin next Tuesday, I thought I'd bring this back up in case somebody has reconsidered or wasn't aware that this thread existed or that the competition itself was gonna begin soon.

If I have some free time later this afternoon, I'm gonna create the groups/first round matchups, so if there are any "interesting" bouts, expect to read clues here or in DJ's thread .

i dont have anything against mko idol at all (infact it's pretty much the only forum game that actually keeps my interest), just this time i dont want to be in it.

I'm with Shoe count me out of this one... I didn't really pay much attention to the competition last year anyway.

Speaking of Round 1....


Since I already had the names of the 100 participants (though with Nikodemus and GhostDragon's decision to not participate, I gotta find 2 substitutes), I went ahead and did all 10 groups and 50 matchups. As in all things in life, there are good news, and there are bad news.

The good news is that each group has a "Feature Bout"-worthy matchup. Which brings me to the bad news, which is that there's a good chance that a member who was considered a favorite will be eliminated right away (this also sucks for me personally 'cause in most cases, the Featured Bout pits two good friends of mine, ESPECIALLY the one in Group B).

Two more things:

1)Group G is the group I consider the "Grupo De La Muerte" (meaning it's the one group where every matchup SHOULD be a tough choice, at least IMO).

B)Besides KaizuDragon outright saying it, I'm sure there are others who doubt just how legit this competition is. Well, it is 100% legit, but I'm gonna say this right away: EVERYBODY is gonna think I fixed Group F's Featured Bout (something that I swear on all that is holy I did not do). Won't say who faces who, but all I'll say is that it pits 2 guys who have a rather heated rivalry going on in several forums, they DO NOT hide their dislike for one another, and both of them say exactly what's on their minds at all times without worrying about any type of repercussion.
