Guess what? You just did make an issue of it.

Hyuga gets no praise for his comments on the forum from moderators/staff, only other users. That's up to them, not us.

If I see him flaming or insulting someone on the forum, I skull him for it. That goes for anyone.
He's received a lot of skulls from me on the various forums here, believe it or not.
Warnings, even, on several occasions.

As for Dragon Points, people obviously get them, or nobody at all would increase in rank.

Does everyone get them? No.

Should every post made get a rating, positive or negative? No.

Can everyone get them? Yes.

It depends on who sees what, and what the person viewing the post(s) rates them based on varying factors.

Though I shouldn't have to say it again, we have lives off of this forum.
I work 5-7 days per week, 8 hours and sometimes more depending how busy we get, yet I take time out of my day to do what I can on here and in the chatroom. Others do the same.

We CANNOT read every single post by every single user made in a 24 hour day. It's impossible, especially given the small set of people whom actually rate posts on here anymore.

If you or anyone else sees a posting that seems inappropriate, send myself or a portal guard a message about it.

I look into these things when told of it, and rate and react according to what I feel is justified given the situation.
A handful of members report possible violations every so often, and it's appreciated.

And to keep this on topic, who do I respect?

Everyone, until given a reason not to.

People whom post and actually stay on topic when they do.

People whom read the Community FAQ and follow what it outlines, and people whom show a little bit of respect for the rest of Staff and the Portal Guards on here that keep this place running for you.

I've been here 5 years. That's a long time to build relationships and to earn respect. There are so many people I've met throughout the years that it would be impossible to name them all, and even if I tried my very hardest, I know that I would forget more than a few and probably garner a few hate-mails for it. Those who have been around the longest, they have my respect, and it is rightly deserved. On a personal level, there are a few people who rose above the rest, regardless of rank or interests, and earned my respect.

Believe it or not, I agree with you too.

Jonin, there's nothing I enjoy more than reading your wise words... really But I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! some of the times I have gotten dragon points I have been either a) misunderstood or b) misinterpreted... I would go back and apologize but I keep it real! Thus like I said I don't mind not having a higher rank for a) I lack a scanner or high end computer software to post my art and b) If I really wanted to I'd go ahead and make bland posts pretending that I care of what the other mans view on life is... thus Dragon points are of no use to me.

All I'm practically saying (and to stay on topic) I respect you (jonin) and the rest of the mods for a kickass site which I visit daily and am still allowed to do so regardless of rank... I respect those who make coming here worthwhile like my fellow lyricists (plug: MKO raps coming in April...) These here are 4 years of memories and in some minute way you all have my respect...

NeoScorpion, sometimes you do act like you're on crazy pills. For one, I don't post my art in the forum, I comment on it. You get just as many dragon points for critiques as you do actual art. Second of all, stop saying you don't care about dragon points. If you didn't, you would not have said anything. It's kind of funny, I suppose. The people who say they don't care about DP are the mortals who always bring it up. The people who really don't care are the ones who have the higher rank. Kind of a hilarious cycle, huh?
