At this point, the only other characters from MvC 2 that may appear in MvC 3 would probably be Sentinel, M. Bison or Akuma, & Megaman. Everyone else from MvC 2 has a slim to none chance of appearing in this game.

Akuma is 99.9% confirmed i think,Sentinel is in the same vein and Megaman should be DLC.

That's how I feel when Storm or Phoenix are lacking. But that's not the case 4 me now.

See even though Psylocke's the only one I really like, I understand there are going to be a handful of X-Men characters. It'd be ludicrous for there not to be.

Wolverine is obvious...can't not have him. They'd also go for an X-woman....Storm or Rogue; another given. Magneto's another obvious choice. So okay, so we've got the minimum: an X-man, and X-woman, and an X-villain.

But they want to keep going and include some more. So we get Deadpool...which is cool. And maybe one more. If it wer eme, I'd go with Psylocke. Or to vary it up, Mr. Sinister let's say.
I guess I can accept Phoenix....even though, after seeing her gameplay, I see no reason why they couldn't have used Ms. Marvel or Songbird (both superior characters, in my opinion).

Seven X-characters. And the Marvel side is looking to be about 17-18 characters. Almost half the Marvel roster is going to be X-characters.
There is a Marvel universe beyond the fucking X-Men.

Characters I'd rather see than X-Men? Off the top of my head:
Ms. Marvel, Venom, Dr. Octopus, Songbird, Black Bolt, Medusa, Black Widow, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Bullseye, Green Goblin, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye...

And I also figure, in terms of gameplay...more interesting special moves and fighting style variety...any of those characters would be just as good, if not better.

I just always excuse X-23 as replacing one Wolverine since there were two of him in the previous game.

I would also welcome Ms. Marvel, Songbird, and Medusa. That'd be sick.

Wonder which chicks will make it to DLC. I'd like to see any of them, plus Moonstone, Firestar, Dagger, or Rogue.

I dont think she's that cool a character, not in story, personality, powers or looks. I'd pretty much take any other Marvel woman over her.

I gotta say I actually like X-23 in this game, although I see how its annoying to have a she-wolverine (especially w a she-hulk) I think her gameplay is actually pretty cool and unique. Maybe they should have saved her for a DLC though.

And I'm glad they have phoenix, I think adding cosmic characters or characters as iconic yet unique as her is worth having another X-spot. In fact, if any X-Characters should be removed in my opinion it should be Storm and Magneto (not completely, of course, they should be made DLC) because they are pretty much re-works of their previous appearances, and even if i do love them both, they really bring nothing new that requires them to be in the original roster. I wish we could get rid of Wolverine, but no way in hell they'll let that happen. Oh and of course, Sentinel, I think thats the most retarded selection on Capcom's part!!! Really!!! Thats terrible! If they wanted a robot there are so many cool ones in the marvel U... did they need to chose the generic X one??? Ultron, Vision, Jocasta... even Nimrod or Bastion would have been a better adaptation of this! Or they couold have used Crymson Dynamo, Phallanx, Ultimo... etc. etc.

I'm also glad they didnt add Marvel Knights... those characters would fit perfectly in a fighting game, but then itd b no fun! Those kinds of characters, like Black Widow, DD, Elektra, Luke Cage, would fit better in an MK crossover game, but in a capcom game where the movelists are pretty imaginative I'll take Dormammu and Phoenix anyday.

What I dont like about Phoenix is that her gameplay seems similar to Storm... I wish she was a bit more unique than that...

To think he would return in MvC3 and dominate the way he did in MvC2 is preposterous. They've nerfed Storm and Magneto accordingly; Sentinel will be the same.



That would be an exercise in pointlessness and maybe even impossibility.

Sentinel has a solid fan base among the MvC2 scene and has plenty of memes and catch phrases dedicated to his character. It's no surprise Capcom would reunite 2's most infamous team (MSS) with the way they've been peppering in homages to the scene.

I do agree with you about X-23, though. She looks fun.

Taskmaster looks cool, although a bit strange. Not a comic guy, so this is my first impression. Although his music theme is damn good. Like, Adon theme good.

Akuma, despite all the shit I said about him, has got me very excited, and I knew he would. One reason: his hyper combos were fun as all hell, and they look amazing in this game. I really look forward to trying to him a couple of times and not maining him ever.

So according to the leaks, only Sentinel and Galactus are left to be revealed, right?

Steven Blum is cool, but he's a terrible Taskmaster voice. Also, I guess it was too much to ask for his far superior Udon costume
