Saints/Lions
Um, OK? Reggie Bush is going to be the back up, and Drew Brees has 2 QBs better than him IN THAT DIVISION in Vick and Delhomme. The Saints are still a last place team in that division, hands down. The offensive line is crap and so is the secondary, two things that have to be in place for a team to succeed (see: Jets suckfest last year)
I used to be a Saint fan, but now they suck. But I like the Steelers, the Colts, the Ravens, and the Panthers.
I hate banwagons. My sister used to be one but she stopped now (Praise the lord). Did you happen to notice last season that the Saints had no home games? So now you dont like them because they had a bad season? Thats being a fan thats bein a banwaggon. My step brother's fav team is still the Saints after last season, he is a true Saints fan unlike you. My fav team had a bad season too but I still like them as much as I always do.
I bet if the saints had a real good season this season, you would be back wit them sayin you were always a Saints fan and shit as if you never gave up on them. I bet you would!
My fav teams are in my sig so I don't need to mention them.

The giants improved defensivly with the aciqistions of Arrington at LB MCquarters and Sam Madision at the CB position they had a decent draft besides there first pick. The injuries might have helped the giants last year cause this year they will prob have one the best 2 linebacking cores in teh NFC. This is the starting linebackers Carlos Emmons who played well last year until his injury at strong side linebacker Antonio perice at middle linebacker whos an possible pro bowler, if most ppl didn't know he was having a pro bowl type season last year until his injury and LaVar Arrington whos a pro bowler weak side linebacker. Thats just the starters the backups all played well until their injuries last year and they are Brandon Short whos a good linebacker a caple starter on alot of teams who was a nice pick up from carolina is a back up also chase blackburn who played well in the few games until his injuries and Reggie Torbor whos another good linebacker who can start on alot of teams. You add that to the best duo DE's in Uniomera and Strahan in the NFC and a upgrade in the Corners with MC Quarters and and saftey positions with 2 acquisions and that equals a greatly improved Defence which was good last year. Let alone the offensive which was one of the best in the NFL last year which has slightly improved. They made both productive and alot of moves in the offseason. One fo the best offseasons out of any team in the NFL because of the value of thier signings and the need.
Now Dallas they improved on most of there needs in the draft. we all know they got TO but remember they where just a few clutch plays/kicks away from being the second playoff team behind washington. They also got mike vanjerjack from indy. Granted there oline is still terrible They do have big play recievers now in Owens n Glenn. There D when u look at it is scary. Plus they got a easy schedule outside the NFC East this year.
Now Philly which had one of the best drafts this year. getting rid of TO will help them granted they really didn't do much outside the draft to help there team they did make alot of signings. there d is going to be dangerous this year there offense still needs recievers but they will have the best and deepest oline in the nfc east to make up for that.
Now washington there draft was crappy but like the giants got alot in the offseason granted that the giants spend alot less for better talent. There receving core improved they have now brandon loyld and randelel in the off season. to make a nice combo with moss loyld and randel el. They still have one of the best RB in the leauge with clinton portis who proved last year he isn't a product of the denver offense and there D is still in tact with some improvments with Adam Archella at Saftey.
This divison could be made a point as one of the toughest of all time in any season. All 4 teams improved in some shape way or form with them already being good teams. I graantee that all 4 teams(baring injuries) atleast finish with a 8-8 record or better. If it was possible (which it isn't) all 4 teams could be playoff teams. with adding Seattle and Carolina. All 4 teams could have possibly top 10 defences NFL wise atleast 3 will maybe philly can seek in as the 4th team with a top 10 d. 2 of the teams will have top 10 offense n maybe top 5 offence (Giants and Washington) Dallas could seek in to the top 10 with offence if they improve there oline somehow before the season starts.
Now i will give a reason y each team can win the division.
The giants are my pick to win but they can win the division because of there balance in almost every position on offence and defence. They have improved in every position they were weak last year expect DL. They upgraded corners they deepend there linebacker position which was good last year alot of ppl forget that but they had to many injuries there. There offsence will improve because Eli will improve. They have players everywhere on offence with Tiki at the RB shockey at the TE buruess at the WR with toomer and there draft pick sinorice moss. There oline has been improving every year and there prob one of the best along with philly in the division. Special teams was alittle disappointment but they still have willie ponder one of the NFL's best return man and remember people this team won the division last year and they improved more then any other team.
Dallas can win the division because of a there Defence which is deadly and a improving offence with a 1 2 combination of TO and terry glenn. Julius Jones even though the worst of the 4 starting RB in the division still a very good player. If TO is playing well he can score on any other Corner in the leauge no matter what. The question is will he have time. to get down feild.
Philly can win the division because they have quietly improved a team that is still the same that went to the superbowl a few years ago just without TO. McNabb is back at the helm and if he gets injured look for jeff garcia to come in as the back up. There defence is still solid and will bring the pressure which could cause trouble for the QBs. They still have problems at the WR position. Draft moves will help there team in the future years.
Washington can win the division because they are the yankees of the NFL just without the championchips lol jk. But they kept in tact a defence which was one of the best in the NFL last year espically at the end of the season. Remember arrington didn't really play that much for them. There offence is blanaced with 3 recievers and a good RB. There QB position is a question though. Like the giants there balanced on both sides of the ball and can bring the heat on D when they want 2.
I know i m alittle biased because i m a giants fan but they are if you look at it still the best team in this division the question is whos going to play the best during the season. But no matter what this is going to be a great season for all 4 teams in the NFC East.

NFC East
Dallas:
Why they'll win the division: Their receivers T.O. is now added to the mix, and the offense looks better than ever with Julius Jones expected to be more of a factor. The O-Line is good and as long as Jason Witten continues to improve, that Cowboys will always be in games.
Why they won't: The front seven and the punting will do them in. The Cowboys finally got something on special teams when they signed Vanderjagt. They just have to work on improving the 3-4 (especially after losing Dat Nguyen)
Where they'll finish: Given how the other teams in the division did in the off-season, this is either a third or last place team in the NFC Beast.
NY Giants:
Why they'll win the division: The offense is solid as always, as Tiki Barber looks to be the workhorse back for this team yet again. Adding Arrington is big as well, if he gets in there. No lead is safe against the Giants offense.
Why they won't: No lead is safe when the Giants defense is on the field either because any team with a halfway decent passing attack will throw all over them. Hello, Eagles, Cowboys, and Redskins, Goodbye, close wins.
Where they'll finish: If they can get a pass defense, they'll win this division. I'm going to change what I said in my prediction post and pick them second. Strahan and Umenyiora are going to need to approach 15+ sacks each for this team to go deep into the playoffs.
Philadelphia:
Why they'll win the division: They're back and better than ever, sans TO. The reason? The defense is frightening with Dhani Jones added and Trotter back. Nobody is going to be running or throwing on these guys, they're going to be punting and turning the ball over.
Why they won't: OK, so McNabb is at QB, and then... who? Ryan Moats at RB? Yes, he was great in college. For Lousiana Tech. And who's that at WR? I hear they called Mr. T to play tight end.
Where they'll finish: First. Defense wins games and championships. They'll probably have more 9-7 and 10-6 scores than anyone in the NFL, but they'll win nearly all of them.
Washington:
Why they'll win the division: They're the most consistent team and their style of play (singleback, 2 TE) works great for Clinton Portis and the way he runs. The defense lost Arrington but he was more of a distraction than an asset, and he didn't play Joe Gibbs's style of defense.
Why they won't: They're the Redskins. The fact that they made the playoffs last year was a complete fluke. Honestly, I don't have much reason to say that they won't win this division, other than that they have a very tough schedule. Home games with Jacksonville, Atlanta, and Carolina are combined with road games at Indianapolis and Tampa Bay. They also open with new-look Minnesota at home.
Where they'll finish: As steady as this team is, the schedule will kill their playoff hopes, they'll finish third in this division.

Roy williams is a great tackler and play maker but he isn't good when it comes to coverage just ask washington last year and how fast they got the 2 tds in the last few minutes. Anyways i decided i m going to break down each division with my best knowledge. Some time in the next few days i'll have the NFC south.

every one forgets that the bills offense were one of the best teams in the 1st quarter. their issuse was later in games. Meat head (bills ex head coach) was god awful at play calling after the 1st quarter. he would call the same plays over and over and over O_o
1~he never made half time adjustments.
2~always pulled Willis out of every 3rd down situation
3~loved doing the silly screen pass to shelton. which never worked but he still called the play
countless others stupid MEAT HEAD things
The Bills defense was hit hard w/ injuries all season. now w/ every one back and all the new drafted players the bills D will be top 5 again. they are only one year removed from # 2 in the league 2 years in a row.
they have 4 wide outs that are extreamly fast. i see a good year out of them. every one counted out the sabres before the season started look how far they went. Anything can happen.

Seriously, who do you think will really win the AFC East?

Heres a breakdown of each team i will go in opposite direction from where they finished last year.
New Orlands(i don't know how to spell it lol). Now that they will acually have 8 home games at home look for this team to be moviated. This team looks to have a potent offensive this year. Aquisions like reggie bush, drew bress, micheal bennent has this team thinking offensive. You add that to a team that has a nice 3 core reciver group with joe horn az hakim and dante stallworth and probowl caliber player duce mc' calaster . There line on both side of the ball can use work. There defence had some signings but no big names and they will struggle. Saying this Look for new orlands to improve from there 3-10 they were the second worst team last year with a new coach and a good looking offence expect this team to win atleast 5 games maybe 6. My prediction is a 6-10 record and a bright future for the New Ordlands Saints. 4th in division
Alanta Prob one of the best teams to finish 8-8 last year was up and down all year. The offense at one point would look unstoppable and another point would be the worst. They only had 3 signings but 2 huge ones on defence with Lawyer Maloy and John Abraham. Micheal Vicks 3rd year in the West Coast hopefully he will finually understand the offence. Alantas run defence was atrocious last year and these singings should help them improve in that area. There pass Defence was decent becaus they might have the best cover corner in the NFL with deanglo Hall besides him is keith brooking one of the most underrated linebackers in the leauge. There defence should be improve but their offense might need another year espically with no pure #1 reciever besides alge crumpler whos a te. I look for this team to have a good season but barely miss the playoffs because of a tie breaker. My prediction is a 10-6 record n missing the playoffs because of a tie breaker. 2nd in the division.
Carolina reaching the NFC championchip game wasn't good enough for them so they went out to get better. They were top 10 in points per game and there offense improved. They got a new wepon on offence with Keshawn Johnson one of the best posession receivers in the nfl add him to the best reciever in the NFL in steve smith and you got a deep guy and a possession guy to be feared. They dafted a good running back deanglo williams and with nick goings and deshawn foster this is a deep running back core. Of course one thing about carolina is that line play is impartive so both offesive and defensive lines are solid. if Being in once of the few teams in the NFL in the top 10 in pass and rush def wasn't good enough they added a few players on the D side as well including former giants saftey Shawn Williams. This is one of the few teams who can be dominate on both sides of the ball this year. Other teams are colts giants washington seattle and denver. My prediction is 12-4 winning the division and a 2 or 3 seed in the NFC.
Tampa Bay The surprise team of the NFC last year won this division by winning a tie breaker because they beat carolina both times in the regular season. A defence which was top 5 in almost every defence catigory last has kept in tact wiht no big subtractions. The age factor is getting to them as most of there defensive stars are getting older. One thing last year prove is John gruden knew how to coach because talent wise last year n this year there 3rd in the division but good coaching help them win the title. Unfortunly this year they haven't done enough to improve the team. They did get David boston but his recent track record shows that he really can't be reliable. They done nothing to improve a bad o line and micheal clayton needs to get back to 2 years ago because he had a bad season last year. If he does the receiving core should be solid with Clayton Gallaway and Boston. I expect the defence to be solid again and chris sims proved to me last year is nfl qb material. I am still questionable with their running backs pittman and williams because of a pourous oline. Unfortunly they are playing in the south and with a tough schedule with games vs the NFC east and AFC North Chicago and Seattle don't look for the same success this year as last year. My prediction is the Tampa Bay Buccenners will finish 3rd in the division with an 8-8 or 7-9 record because the lack of upgrades when all the other teams in the divison improved in some way.
Now i'll do y each team can win and not win the division
Why can new orlands win the division?
They can if they offence clicks together early n often and need some luck from the other teams. there defence would have to be spectualr and maybe they can surprise teams.
Why can Alanta win the division?
They can win because of one person. Micheal Vick if hes spectular the same guy who led alanta to the NFC championchip game a few years ago and if he can improve his passing then alanta can very well win the divison and if there D plays solid and if alanta continues wiht their running game which was the best in the NFL last year.
Why alanta won't win the division?
Because there wide outs are still not good enough for the west coast offence. There run defence still isn't that great and teams in the division will be able to run all over them.
Why Carolina will win the division?
Because they are prob the most balanced team in the NFL. Offence Defence, specail teams they are solid all around. They can run pass and stop the run and pass John fox has proven he can coach as he completely turned around this carolina team since he became head coach.
Why Carolina won't win the division?
Even though i m upset cause they beat my giants 23-0 in the playoffs i can't see a reason why they can't win this division. The only thing i can possibly say is that if they get injured it might be trouble but besides that i can't name a reason.
Why Tampa can win the division?
Because of there Defence which besides points per game was better then Chicagos defence last year. They still have that core group. There offence might gel together just enough for the Defene to take over and as i said John Gruden is the real deal as a coach.
Why Tampa won't win the division?
Because they have no offence. there oline is terrible. They have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. Just to much for them to over come they won't win close games like they did last year.
The south is a good division it will be very competive when they go up against the NFC east this year south though will get one play off team.
Srry for spelling errors i ain't much of a speller and i really type fast so some times my thoughts come faster to me so i might mix up a letter and srry for the delay i just forgot next i will do the NFC north or if Mos3ph does it i will do the west.

Chicago:
Why they'll win the division: They won it last year, and they didn't change their winning formula all that much. All they did was add Brian Griese to start at QB, an addition I can't figure out. Kyle Orton led this team to a division title and a first-round bye, and you're going to replace him?
Why they won't: They actually have to beat good teams this year. The only gimme game that isn't in their division is a home game against the 49ers. They have a killer 7 game stretch that shakes out like this: Miami, at NY Giants, at NY Jets, at New England, Minnesota, at St. Louis, Tampa Bay. Going 3-4 in that stretch will be considered good.
Where they'll finish: I think they'll tie for first with Green Bay, but the Packers will get the tiebreaker. I won't expect another playoff appearance from the Bears.
Detroit:
Why they'll win the division: I'm tempted to just say that they won't and be done with it, but there is reason to believe these guys can contend. Although it figures to be QB-by-committee in Detroit, the running game and receivers are solid. The Lions will have a powerful offense...
Why they won't: ... IF the QBs deliver. Kitna and McCown are two glorified backups fighting for a starting job, where neither one is that good. Also, they can't stop anyone. With R.W. McQuarters gone, teams can take solace knowing they can throw all over this defense with little consequence.
Where they'll finish: Last. The receivers won't be able to do a whole lot if it's going to be Kitna and McCown trying to get them the ball. They won't be able to throw the ball or defend it either.
Green Bay:
Why they'll win the division: #4. Brett Favre did not retire, and that automatically means the Packers will contend. Selecting A.J. Hawk was a key addition to their front seven. Also, the schedule is forgiving as they can possibly start 5-0 before the bye week. The only unwinnable game I see here is at Seattle.
Why they won't: Not much reason to count them out here, everything appears to be in place for a playoff run, except that they didn't do a whole lot to improve their offensive line.
Where they'll finish: They'll win this division on tiebreakers and return to the playoffs for one last shot at getting another ring for Favre.
Minnesota:
Why they'll win the division: Their running game is now more of a power style, which will be effective against the other teams in this division. Their receivers are still solid and the defense is improved... again.
Why they won't: I'd like to see someone try to prove to me that the Vikings will go 7-9 or better against the schedule they have. They have brutal stretches everywhere. It's at Washington, Carolina, Chicago, and at Buffalo to open the season. Right after the bye week they have to travel to Seattle and then play New England at home. Following a road date with the 49ers they play Green Bay at home, go to Miami, play Arizona at home, and then go to Chicago and Detroit. Whoever made this schedule must have been beaten as a child, or a Packers fan. And oh yea, no Culpepper.
Where they'll finish: Third. They have more firepower than Detroit and a better defense, but they're a year or two away. Is that Mike McMahon at QB?
Anyway, the preseason is coming up soon and so is the Pick 'Em game that I have in mind. I'm going to talk to an SP about DPs, I'll get back to you guys on that.

Atlanta:
Why they'll win the division: Michael Vick and Co. are back and even better than last year, and the defense is frightening with Abraham and Milloy added. The schedule is soft as well for Atlanta this year, there aren't a whole lot of challenging games outside of the South.
Why they won't: They don't have a #1 receiver, however Alge Crumpler is very solid at TE. Without a gamebreaker at wideout, I can't call the Falcons a division winner.
Where they'll finish. Second, thanks to Carolina being in the division. We'll see Atlanta contending down the stretch though.
Carolina:
Why they'll win the division: Steve Smith. This guy is primed to have yet another huge season in Carolina. Jake Delhomme is steady under center and the Panthers will move the ball well on the ground with DeShaun Foster and they have added another big hitter in Keyshawn Johnson.
Why they won't: Actually, I have no reason to say that this team won't take the division. The schedule isn't tough and this team really doesn't have much of a weakness.
Where they'll finish: First. Easily, I might add. The Panthers are the class of the NFC this year.
New Orleans:
Why they'll contend for a wild card (they won't win this division, not a chance in hell): The Saints drafted Reggie Bush, and with Drew Brees under center, the Saints can at least win a few games. The receivers aren't bad either and if Deuce McAlister comes back healthy, watch out.
Why they won't: Too many questions and not enough home games for the Saints to be consistent this year. They are at best a 6-10 team in a pessimist's eyes.
Where they'll finish. Last, but it won't be ugly for them this season.
Tampa Bay:
Why they'll win the division: They are consistently a good team and the receiving corps is stacked as long as Galloway keeps producing, Chris Simms will be happy. Pittman is good running the ball and the defense will be solid once again, going with Tampa Bay tradition.
Why they won't: Outside of Galloway there isn't another big threat out of the receivers. Also, Simms's inexperience can and will hurt the team at times, where he will throw untimely picks.
Where they'll finish: Third. As good as this team is, they're still a year away from being a serious player in the stacked NFC.
There you have it. My NFC West preview will be coming Thursday.

hmm, you been on point mo3eph most of the time, but, you forget tampa still has cadilac williams, plus michael clayton behind joey galloway, and hes had back 2 back 1000 yard seasons so.
HOWEVER, given the defenses in the division, Pittman's speed will be of more use to the Bucs, and Clayton is still very inexperienced. I'm not convinced he'll be a factor... YET.
