Yeeeeeah well. Yeah Benoit's been due to become champion for years, knowing how Vince does with the story lines, Benoit could very well loose his belt at the next pay per view. However, I am VERY surprised and very happy that Eddie kept the belt against Angle.

However, with Benoit and Eddie as champions, that doesn't mean that Vince is entirely behind them carrying the company. Guess only time will tell.

*chuckling*

I liked it because of the "atmoshpere" that surrounded it. Not particularly because of the wrestling, which wasn't bad, just...not enough. The "na na na na, hey hey, good bye" shit was off the hook! That has to be the single most heated match I have ever watched in my entire life! Great heat! Too good.

I don't know about the idea of Bill staying. He's already signed an MMA contract, if i'm not mistaken. So, i dont' know how that will work out.

I enjoyed the show overal. Trish turning heel was insane! She was this innocent, tender little girl. Then all of a sudden, this hellish jezabell, just like that. Great turn, simply great.

I just wanted to see the cruisers a little longer. 10 minutes? Oh, please!

HHH, goes out clean? Beniot, gets the strap? Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Kanes video intro kicked ass! Amazing. The hamburgler joke rock did with hurricane and rosey was great. Rey's super hero costumes he's doing never quite look right. The main event really shocked me and seeing eddie and beniot in the middle of the ring gave me goosebumps. And this was not Ultimo's night. That slip on the walkway and post was very sad. And the fact that he was eliminated so quickly sad

WMXX was good, but it was wwwaaaayyyyy overhyped. Im glad the Dead Man is back, but i thought they would have tried to make him look more....dead. Anyway, the Lesnar/Goldberg match was WWAAYYY too short. HHH losing his title was classic. Victoria kiks ass in those shorts. Playboy match was too good to be true. All the others were good. Not the best WM, not the worst.

i liked wrestlemani but it was just not up to the hype, lemme explain, the first match i think was cena and big show, that was cool because cena did the f-u to shows fat ass twice, which should be impossible. then the trish turn was brilliant, i loved it, i mean thats classic wrestlemania, but then the cruiser weight thing was just...eh, the tag team 4 ways were just...eh, goldberg and lesnar was way to short, and austin was not involved enuff, i mean gimmme a break, however it did have alot of heat, but so far this is a solid but not up to par wrestlemania, kane and taker was too short, although returning with bearer was brilliant, but gurrero and angle was excellent, the playboy match was stupid, and molly getting her haircut was great, but the three way made the night, it was truly awesome how that played out, i also have gained a little respect for triple h, who i am very glad lost, however the guy did well in this match, im very happy benoit won and think this wrestlemania is a definite start to a new and much better year in wrestling.
i also hope it does not go downhill like it did last year, while i liked this years wrestlemania, i think it was to overhyped and not up to my expectations and therefore a letdown to me,it felt like a normal ppv and not wrestlemania, i dont know, last years was awesome and it all went to hell afterwards, so im hoping that the same thing does not happen again.

I too agree it was overhyped.... I agree baout the matches being eh. Taker not coming out in his old outfit kinda surprised me but this is 2K some things need a change but he looked more like a Country Western guy than a deadman with that hat.... the triple threat match, and the Eddy VS Angle match was A+ the rest were C+. I did not expect molly to lose (kinda funny to see her bald tho). Is it just me or is cena going heel????? it looked liked he "snapped" when Show kicked out of the F'U (the first time someone has). and the trish heel turn was TOTALLY Unexpected! I expected the Spanish announce table to be destroyed waay earlier (atleast during the Rock &Sock VS Evolution or the Cruiserweight match). atleast that streak is still going.

Wrestle 'My god that was fuckin awesome' Mania XX was a great ppv last night. It wasn't too overhyped for those that said so, Taker's return was awesome, and Goldberg beating Lesner was great, (and btw, Austin stunned Goldberg as retribution for the Spear 4 weeks ago on Raw) but Benoit and Eddie as World Champs was the icing on the cake. The WWE HOF segment was good also.
Here's the news I've found:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following comes from WWE.com:

Brock Lesnar has made a personal decision to put his WWE career on hold to prepare to tryout for the National Football League this season. Brock has wrestled his entire professional career in the WWE and we are proud of his accomplishments and wish him the best in his new endeavor.

Trish's Heel Turn, Brock Lesnar's Loss To WWE:

Trish Stratus has now officially turned heel. Stratus had been pleading her case for a heel change to WWE management for months, and although they were first apprehensive, it seems they changed their mind.
There were also a few funny moments from WrestleMania XX tonight with Ultimo Dragon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan slipping as well as Steve Austin getting hit in the face with his own can of beer.

Don Callis has stated that the loss of Brock Lesnar would be a huge blow for WWE. Check out slam.canoe.ca to read Don Callis' full column.

From WWE.com:

STAMFORD, Conn.--March 15, 2004-- WrestleMania® XX Sets Records As Highest
Grossing Event For WWE at Madison Square Garden As Fans Go Wild

More than 20,000 people chanted wildly for their favorite Superstars, were
filled with emotion from the Boys Choir of Harlem, and raised the roof at
the most famous arena in the world, Madison Square Garden, to celebrate 20
years of WrestleMania. Madison Square Garden was the birthplace of
WrestleMania in 1985 and also was the site for WrestleMania X.

WrestleMania XX tonight grossed more than $2.4 million in ticket sales,
making the Pay-Per-View the highest grossing live event ever for WWE at
Madison Square Garden in New York City.

More than 20,000 frenzied fans at Madison Square Garden -- from 16
countries, 48 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico - and
thousands more watching the televised event from 90 countries worldwide,
were treated to an emotional, action-packed evening. The Boys Choir of
Harlem sang America the Beautiful, WWE RAW Superstar Chris Benoit was
crowned as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after an intensely fought
triple-threat match against Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and WWE SmackDown!
Superstar Eddie Guerrero successfully defended his WWE Championship against
former 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle. Long-time fan favorite,
Undertaker, shook the Garden to its foundation when he returned as the
original "Deadman" and extended his unbeaten streak at WrestleMania to 12
wins in an impressive victory over his brother, WWE RAW Superstar Kane.
Donald Trump verbally jousted with former Minnesota Gov. and newly elected
WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura, and Pete Rose, also a new celebrity member
of the WWE Hall of Fame, made his fourth WrestleMania appearance. (For
photos go to WireImage: Listings)

"WrestleMania XX has been a fabulous event, and we want to thank our fans
here in New York City and from around the world for making WrestleMania
weekend so memorable," said Linda McMahon, WWE CEO. "This will go down in
history as one of the greatest WrestleManias, and it wouldn't be so without
the passionate support of our fans and our tremendously talented roster of
Superstars."

The previous top grossing event for WWE at the Garden was the Survivor
Series® live event on November 17, 2002, with a ticket gross of $1.25
million.

An additional 2,900 people attended the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
on Saturday Night, and the traditional Bacon, Bagels & Biceps Brunch on
Sunday morning. Both events, held in the NY Hilton Hotel's Grand Ballroom,
generated an additional $365,000.00 in ticket sales revenue.

I actually thought WM XX was a let down. Brock vs Goldberg was a short match. it was 20 min but half was staring. The wrestling was O.K but a lot of things imo werent supposed to happen ie. golberg not catching the beer, lesnar flippin of the crowd etc. too bad Lesnar is leaving. Good that Goldberg is leaving cuz his contract ended at WM XX. Taker vs Kane was alright, Taker looked the same but with long hair, nothing special. I have to give Props to Eddie and Angle for putting a great match. But my main props go to HBK, HHH, and Benoit. It was one hell of a bout. Props to Cena for winnning with brass knmucks and 2 F-Us, Too bad for ultimo when he tripped twice at WM when he always wanted to be there. Playboy Match was in my opinion better than Victoria vs. Molly considering they never wrestle. The Tag matches were boring and the winner for SD! tag team match was awful, it shoudve gone to WGTT. Rock and SOck vs Evolitoun was O.K. If it werent for Flair, Rock, and Foley the match would be horrible, but I loved the ending with the RKO outta nowhere. Thats my 2 cents

No let down, good show. I can't beleive you wanted their match to go longer, I thought it was fine, that stupid (no offence to anyone)New York crowd was just hostile assholes. Lesner flipping the crowd off was good, I would have also, and everyone says 'why did Austin stun them', come on people, that was obvious to everyone that one or both would get stunned. As for Goldberg, I doubt he'll leave now, but we'll just have to wait to find out. Yeah, Taker looked the same, but so what, it was awesome that he came back, I like the semi-new look. Those 3 title matches were good, and as for Ultimo Dragon, everyone keeps boo-hooing him, so he tripped, he still had a great performance at his first Mania, all the Cruiserweights in that match did great, just too bad WWE thought it best to screw Rey again.
You think the 'so-called' WGTT should have one the SD tag match? Are you on crack?? I'm glad Rikishi/Scotty and RVD/Booker T won their matches all though the Dudley's win would have worked too.

It was a good effort by WWE. Even if it won't be considered by many to be the best Mania ever (I think it was!!)it was still ok. I just hope that's the last ppv they bring to NY, man that crowd was hostile, sure would make me ashamed to me a New Yorker.

I wante the match to be longer yes. just 10 min for all that hype? Lesnar can put a great match when he wants like with guerrero or angle, but I agree with the austin stuning both part. Also in a site it said that at the post WM party Goldbergwas there saying his goodbyes to everyone ( Lesnar and his Girlfriend SAble and rock werent there for a reason not known). And im not boo-hooing Ultimo, I actually laughed my ass off, but I gained my respect for him when he had the match, and yes all the cruisers did good. I like Booker and RVD as champs but Rikishi/ and Scotty? NO! They are so old, and when Scotty was doing the worm cole said that that worm would bring peeps to their feet, If I remember correctly 5 percent of the people stood up. just shows how 2 years ago they are. But I actually dont care nbout the tag titles in SD! the teams suck there.

I didn't see WrestleMania so I just read about it on the internet. It didn't seem like the GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA IS THE WORLD like WWE has been hyping it up to be, espeically for a whole year. but looked like a great show nonetheless. I'am gonna buy it on DVD, Its gonna be a 3-disc DVD with TONS of extras. damn, I can't wait.
