Ok guys, this has got to be hands down the MOST ridiculous thing I have ever heard!...

So I go to McDonalds tonight right? Nothing out of the ordinary there right? I order the same order I have ordered for like 8 or 9 years A #2 SuperSized no onions, no pickles and a Sprite....I hear...I'm sorry sir, we don't offer Super Size anymore... O.O!!! "Can I ask why?" The response I got was "Somebody got fat" !!??!! So I drive up to the window Confused. I learn that McDonald's doesn't offer supersize anymore because they were sued because Someone got fat off eating their food. WTF!?! I'm sorry but this is just the most retarded thing I have ever heard...First nobody forces someone to order and then eat McDonald's food and certainly not SuperSize...So how is it possible that this person even won this Case? How was it not laughed out of court? It's not like some employee from McDonalds sat with this person and force fed them Food at gun point. It's just ridiculous. I still can't believe it.

We've become fucking stupid.

People can't understand simple concepts such as "you eat too much, and you get fat", and our fucked up judicial system allows people to sue others because they don't have any damn sense. Note: I didn't say "common sense" because that phrase is an oxymoron.

Only in America...the idiots are the majority now, and nobody is doing anything to teach them otherwise.

Exactly How is it anyone's fault, but your own, if you shovel to much food and gain weight. No don't ge me wrong I'm sypathetic to people with Weight issues, some eat a lot due to depression, etc... But ultimately it doesn't change the fact that YOU ate the food now you should deal with the results. It's just a shame.

I think this is ridiculous cause it won't stop overweight ppl from ordering a side order (maybe another sandwhich lol) which would more than make up 4 the supersize.

Just do what I do order 2 large sizes.

2 large sizes=Supersize

I find it kind of dumb though to not offer Supersizes.The food isn't to blame for getting fat.It's the person who should be blamed for buying the food.

No kidding, and they still offer Large size, and seriously how much difference is ther between a Large and a SS, Not much the box is just slightly bigger. Now of course you know places like BK, Papa Gino's (making meals Grande for an extra slice of Pizza) are going to follow suit just watch.

I think its dumb not offering super size fries or drink. People could get whatever they want. No one has to tell them what to eat or not. If people are getting fat from eating McDonalds, just be smart about it and stop eating it. If people want super-sized all they have to do is buy 2 fries and 2 drinks, so it makes no difference. Here where i live at they still have the super-sized option. I usually super-size my meals but not much. My favorite meal is the 2 cheeseburgers. #2.

Luckily the local Mickey D I go to has alot of high school kids working there.Most of the time they'll give you more fries than you can imagine.The people who were getting fat must've ate at all of the food chains. Burger King Papa John Denny's Wendy's Mcdonald's

TT that has got to be my new winner on stupidity phrases, the now runner up is "i was trying to change the color of my GBA so I put it under a lighter, it turned out black and it was cool, but now it doesn't seem to work, what can i do" this was a post on another forum..................what a wasaste of time. Anyways Free will is what makes ppl o decide which size of Meal they eat and even thogh that doesn't makes you eat more, as if the food containe some sort of addictive thing (other than taste)..........SuCh Is LifE.......StUpId

Hence calling it the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. grin Seriously It really blows that people can get away with bringing something this absurd to court. I still don't get why it was even taken seriously. I don't know, maybe there's something big that I'm missing. confused

Yeah... cause that always works, honestly who comes up with these ideas? People will just buy a large and a medium fries and it will be the same thing. But then again maybe it's to much to assume that chair people of a huge fast food franchise would have half a brain. Yeah and then innocent people go to jail for the rest of their lives in other cases because of a system that sucks, but thank god we did our part to stop america's weight problem.

I'm surprised you just found out about this now, since they said they were gonna get rid of supersizing about 6 months ago. I'm just surprised that they started already seeing as how they said it was going to take effect in a year. I think the McDonalds here (NJ) still carries SS but I'm not sure for how long. Where is the McDonalds that you go to? I'm gonna miss my supersized fries, I really am sad.

And do you know what the funny thing is? If someone working at McDonlads had told them before hand "i don't think you should eat this, it looks like it could make you fat" that person would've sued McDonalds for harrassment or discrimination or something like that.

Sorry, i dont want to belive it either, but as a fellow aussie, (even though my picture says Im argentinian) i think australia's about to fall in the same pit as america, especially in 2006 if we vote to become republican.
BTW: One thing that REALLY makes me angry is when they have great aussie actors like Hugh Jackman and Hugo Weaving speaking in American accents. I mean, in Van Helsing, they could've made Hugh's voice english or austrian to suit the time period better, but NO! they HAD to make him speak american!!! no offence to any americans here, its the film industry im upset with.
