A friend of mine from another forum called Elliot's stepmom the other day, and said she would have liked to know more about what may have made him do it, and I happen to know a bit. I made the call, and I just got off thhe phone with her. She seems like the most down to earth woman in the world. And I think we are both glad that we got to share our knowledge of Elliot with eachother, because he was 20, and she felt like she didn't have to be incredibley nosey with his personal life. Here are some things you may want to know:
His last day went like this: He came home after 2 hours of work in the morning, and he said he was hungry, and so, upon request, his step-mom made him some pancakes. After that, she and her watched a movie together, and then Elliot went to his room, where he was on the computer for a little bit (his final mIRC moments) and he made a phone call to a female friend telling her that he was really going to commit suicide. She later (after his death was announced) called Mrs. Wright and told her that Elliot talked about it, but he had done that many times before, and never did it. That time, he actually went through with it. Anyways. That's all you'll get out of me when it comes to that. But for those of you who wanted to know how he died, I will tell you that he did not suffer.
On other notes, she wasn't aware that he was going to be married, or that he got his girlfriend [Erica] pregnant. BUT she did know that he had a lady friend that he was close to named Erica, and she is waiting for the list of phone calls to come in, so then she may make calls to notify his friends, and maybe ask them some questions.
He did have a condition that I expect all of you here are familiar with. He was diagnosed at an early age with Bipolar Disorder, and he had medication for it. He did not take it though, because it did not make him feel good/better at all.
She was not aware that he was planning on moving to California anytime soon, but we figure that if he was actually planning it, the emotional baggage that came with it may have stressed him alot (moving from his home, leaving his family, etc). Once again, when the phone calls come in, she'll see if there are any phone calls to people in California, and maybe she can find out some things from them.
Also, I learned that he had just gotten a new job up at Walmart, and that may have made him nervous or struck up some sort of anxiety, because he really didn't want to screw up or let his parents down any more. What you all may not have known is that Mrs. Wright was the one who has been providing the money to keep MKWarehouse up, and she plans on doing so for the next 4-6 months, and she had been really supportive of Elliot when he needed that for the site.
Anyways... That's all you guys need to know about the motives and whatnot. She did share some sentimental moments with me, like when she first bought him Mortal Kombat when he was about 8. I want you all to know that game lit him up, and it brought him joy, so it is safe to assume he enjoyed the times you all have shared with him through it, be it discussion, theory, or even playing him on ZSNES.
That was probably the hardest mental thing I have ever had to do in my entire life, so please be respectful from this post out. If not for me, and not for him, but for his wonderful mother, who even shared that she will remember me in her prayers for doing what I did. She believes in me and all of you for giving him our support, even in the after life. I think it's only fair to give her that for sharing what she did with me tonight.
