i dont understand how he was respected..

i never seen that side of him..around 2 years ago i had a website project i was working on..called mortal kombat inferno (mkio for short) and he and a few other thought it was some kind of mk "clan"..lmao..

so, he decides to create a clan called n3xxxgen (or something like that) and tried to start a "clan war"..lol. he then went to my web site and spammed up my guest book with crap like "this site is gay, rainbow power" and stupid crap like that..he also did it in the forum calling me a bastard among other things.

all the bs led up to be being banned from mko for no reason..all because he had convinced bmk (who was a mod at the time) that i was in a online clan and all kinds of bull shit..but i was unbanned within a 2 days after i talked to ccs and proved to him that it was just a freakin web site.

shortly after that, i never seen him on..he was gone for a good while, and even back then that was crap flyin around that he died and all kinds of bs...but i think it was something to do with his father (i think he said his father died..which is weird cause it says his father is alive in that news paper)..i dont know if it was death..or posibly a divorce.

cause when he called me a bastard, it hurt..my father was never around when i was growing up..and when he was, he was drunk of his ass...and then he starts having family trouble...karma.

i pmed him and told him that i know what its like not having a dad around and all that..basically i said my peace.

i never talked to him again after that, nore did he speak to me.

some of you say he was a good person..i never saw that side of him. and it doesnt matter if myslef, or anyone else likes it or not..he was a member of the mk community..some of us like eachother and some of us dont, but in the end, we are a family..a mk family, we are all here for the same reason..and even though he and i didnt get along, its sad to see him go.

but i never expected him to take his own life. i always felt that suicide was for cowards..people who couldnt handle the reality of it all and wanted to take the easy way out. no matter what your releigon is, or what you beleive in..the reality of it all is you only live once...enjoy it why you are here..suicide will not solve anything. i couldnt imagine why anyone would want to take their own life.

I barely knew this man so i have no right to speak any way upon his behalf. But i can say, that suicidal tendencies is a mental illness. For whatever reasons he did what he thought was right at the time, the thing about suicide, is that u probably regret it right when u do it, but its too late.


May peace come to all he left behind and may his name be remebered for his actions during life, and not his actions upon his death.

May the tears of others be a reminder to you all, that while suicide may be the easy way for you, it only makes things harder for others.

As an atheist, i don't know what to say right now. I dont believe in a soul so i cant say RIP, so i only wish his family and friends the best and i hope they find the strength to live through this.

we have every right to say it. i have thought about suicide..i know what goes through a persons mind. i have been there. its not the answer. most peole that go through with it, usally dont look at both sides of the coin. they see only the worst and start to panic and look for the fastest way to get out cause they are afraid to confront what stands in front of them. i realized nothing is worth taking my own life. youre only here once. enjoy it. you win some, you loose some..but you live. you have trouble in releationships..you get bad luck from time to time..thats life..and i say live it.

i opologize to his family on behalf of the mk community for some of the comments made by some of the users. we mean no harm in what we say. its just the way we feel. some people didnt like him..so what? nothing to be worked up about..i have yet to meet a person where every on in his or her life has liked them..we all have people that dont like us..but for every 1 person that doesnt like us..theres 5 that do..and 10 that love us.

They have a right to say their peace even if it's not like what most of us want to hear. However, they've said their peace, so cyborg and whoever hates Potent, I'm letting you say what you wanted to say, but since this is a tribute thread don't bring it up again. Now... This just sucks. Potent was one of the friendliest guys on here. I am very sad to hear of his passing. I don't mean to offend anyone by being religious in here, but being a born again christian, I feel sorry for not even asking him once about his religion. I have something on my chest that I need to relieve.

I've shed a little light on it the past few days in the chat, but I'll post what I completely think about this.

Suicide is selfish and cowardly. I myself have had the unfortunate experience of having a relative kill themself. It was my Uncle. It hit our family the hardest because he was actually staying with us at the time. He went into one of the two storage sheds he rented out and let his trunk run-- killing himself of asphyxiation.

They did not discover his body for 7 days. It goes without mentioning that the place did not smell too nice. We, my family and I, had to go and COMPLETELY clean out these storage sheds. He had so much garbage in these, that we had to have constant trips to the dump. The smell was unbearable and it was 100 degrees+ outside. The old Ford he killed himself in had to be parked outside our house on the street for over two months until we finally sold it for scrap metal.

The underlying point? We had to clean up all his mess. Through sniffly noses and teary eyes, we had to go through all of his belongings, pictures, anything and throw it away. Suicide is for cowards.

I don't feel sorry for Potent_Seed at all. I've known him for a few years-- nice guy really. But who I DO feel sorry for were the people that have been affected in this act of selfishness-- his family. And what about his daughter that is going to be born? That child will now grow up WITHOUT a Dad. Christ.

Or hell, maybe this is a hoax. I mean, no one believed Juiceb0y when he told alt.games.mk that The Limit had been killed in a car wreck.

This was the first person of the MK Kommunity I had a really good consversation with. I'd just like to thank him for that. Without him, I'd be half the MK fan I am today. Heck, i wouldnt even be posting here! May Potent Seeds spirit live on forever. RIP mate.

I didn't know him well , all he said to me is "we don't have that pic, thanks for the advice" but everytime a person dies it's very sad and it's more sad when this person kills himnselve . Life is so important that no one should kill himselfe or someone else.

You just said it yourself, if you thought of suicide, it was very different from this guy, specially since you are still alive and he is dead.

I find it sad that P_S has passed on not because he was a good person (which was arguable, to say the least) but because there was great tragedy in the actual event of his passing and those that it affected.

It seems he left a child on-the-way as well as a girl he was supposed to marry as well. Although taking your life at that crucial moment in time would seem rather foolish, I understand the pressures put on P_S nevertheless. Hopefully, his legacy as a forum friend to most and a respected moderator to all will live on regardless of the harsh circumstances in which he died.

Now, on to the conspiracy surrounding Elliot's death, allow me to make one thing clear: It is best to believe that the suicide is indeed credible when not only do we have the evidence before us that would lead to it, but I would much rather be fooled by someone faking a suicide then to believe he faked it and end up being wrong for thinking so later. I believe it is the responsibility of all of us to feel the same way, and I urge people to take this thread seriously because, as it appears, it is indeed true. It is hard to believe that something like suicide would even be joked about, but I must say, it isn't far-fetched to think it is impossible to happen, seeing as how it already has. A friend of P_S' has faked a similar (and near identical) suicide of his own, so forgive those who think this is just a joke and go on with your grieving of Elliot in any manner that suits you best.

As for those that let out their anger at PS upon finding that he had killed himself: I despise all of you. Even if Potent Seed was the most hated person in the world, it doesn't change the fact that the dead deserve the respect from those still living. Give him that respect is all I ask, and try to keep "flaming" out of this already-controversial "debate".

By being here, we have all stated that we are like a family, and when one of the members of the family dies, we are to remember the good things that they did." Potent_Seed was a member of the family. A very big member. And we are remembering him. It is truly a tragic loss in the entire MK Community. And Hyuga is right. We don't know the circumstances, and the whole "Damnation of suicides" is a dead doctrine in the eyes of the Catholic church anyway. They abandoned that dogma a long time ago. Sorry Scott, I don't mean to fuel them, but I just want to adress a point they continue to bring up.

Everyone who has said that Potent was a bad person for abandoning a pregnant woman and child, think of this.

Perhaps when Potent wrote that farewell speech he had already decided he was going to commit suicide. He wrote of his version of a perfect life, or the life that he always wanted.

I do not believe he actually had a fiance or child, they were not mentioned in the oblituary. I believe that is what he wanted, and would not have commited suicide if he had that kind of life.

I do not believe Potent expected us to find out about his demise, but instead when he finally said goodbye to use he led us to believe we were parting with him so he could live a better life. He did not want to put us through all of this drama, and wished for us to have remembered him as a fun loving guy.

This is only hypothetical, and if it is true then he truly was always thinking of others first, and is not the coward you guys have made him out to be.
