Im not really pumped about this.

I have RE0-RE4 on the Gamecube, so I'm set.

Now, what I really would like to see is a remake of RE2 with todays PS3 and 360 visuals.

Actually very excited for these games! lets not forget, good sales here could cause them to somehow possibly consider Remaking RE2. I will never lose hope.

Unfortunately, Darkside Chronicles pretty much cripples our chances of that, essentially being a remake of sorts.

However, Resident Evil: Raccoon City was just announced officially within the last 48 hours and will go back to iconic points of RE2 and RE3 set in the outbreak of Raccoon City with control of the USS team. No word yet if extra modes will allow UBCS (Carlos, Mekhial and Nikolai) or the Infected will be able to be played as. But its been said that they are the 3 groups in focus.

This game is good enough for me, for now. But RE2 Remake is the ultimate fan dream. Somebody should put the time into a huge petition. how could they refuse a few hundred thousand signatures?

I've never been a huge fan of Resident Evil, but this GREATLY intrigues me.

Yet another port of RE4? Meh. I mean I like the game but enough is enough.
Code Veronica however - FUCK YEAH! That game is fucking flawless and I can't wait to replay it.

Yea just heard about op racoon city it sounds like a fun game. Is it strictly multiplayer?

No clue yet, and I wouldnt expect any for a while. Theres an upcoming event, maybe some info.

I wish they would remake RE2 and 3 in the style of the RE1 remake already!

This "Raccoon City" game sounds interesting, I hope its not like the disaster that was Outbreak.

Not interested in a squad-based shooter. It is just simply not my genre.

Outbreak was amazing, Just came out at the wrong time. If it was on PS3 with better HDD and connection ability, The boss battles would be untouchable. I loved that game.

Biggest mistake: no LAN.

Best was when Friendly Fire was implemented, Waiting for people to fall on the Outbreak Roof jump. Aim and shoot them while they are hanging. Dead. Or when people would create "Bar Brawl" and it was just a free for all until death right off the start.

Winning.

EDIT: new article on G4 talking details. Same stuff really. But it is due out THIS WINTER. And May's issue of OXM will have it in an article.
Edit2: First Look at Character. Looks like a new take on USS or early concept art. In-game pics still haven't made their way into public eye.

Ok I probs jumped the gun calling it a disaster, I did like the first one.
The music was great, the characters were good. I did not care for the crazy long loading screens or bosses that would NEVER die lol.
I didnt like that there was no straight forward way of doing things, I just watched people screaming "HELP!" as they were lying flat on their faces lol and if you took too long u got virussed!
I gotta admit I didnt finish File 2. I think I was just an impatient stupid 14 year old.

Anywhoo this winter you say? The end of this year is gonna be epic for games!

Outbreak 1 was great, I loved it. "Below Freezing Point" really brought back some memories. And the Daylight serum and Thanatos was really great to experience. Outbreak file 2 brought back another memory I loved in "Desperate Times" which goes back to the Police station before Leon and Claire's arrival and even payed tribute to them by showing them on their way there if you beat it with Kevin Ryman, during the ending.

Original concepts for outbreak said there were over 50 missions created. Thats about 10 games. Sales and a few development problems are likely why they did not continue.

OBF2 is better than OBF1 for sure.The Elimination and Survivor rounds were more than enough, being a "boss battle mode" of sorts, I was addicted.

I like the Mr X thing and the Leon bit but I wish they would stop fobbing us off with references to RE 2 and 3 and just give us full remakes!
