Okay, now my "omg" has warn off. That being said. RE6 does look like a step in the right direction while still appealing to broad audiences. Capcom are sluts for money and it was unavoidable that they would go this route. But now they have created another Tvirus outbreak and "70,000" infected in one area alone.

"Alex" can be heard being yelled in the trailer. This new guy might be Alex Wesker!

They have given us back a gritty horror atmosphere in Leon's mission. A RE5 action packed scenario in Chris' mission. And new plot with this new guy. I thought it was Steve Burnside as soon as I seen the concentration on his blood and Wesker being gone.

The woman, likely Ashley graham because of the president. But I am still hoping for Sherry Birkin.

Capcom just gave us a game that caters to both horror and action fans. For what its worth, I never expected a move this smart by them. I am glad its not just another RE5.

As a sequel to the derailment of action and time jumps that RE4 and RE5 were (more so RE5). This is a great followup with the template they were given.

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't see an ounce of horror in the trailer. So they have zombies now, big deal. Now that zombies are in it you think it's going to make a difference?

Judging by the trailer, Leon was just like, "Zombies again?" *BANG BANG FLIP KICKS EXPLOSIONS*

So far this isn't impressing me too much. It's gonna take a lot more than just the "return" of the zombies to get me excited for this game.

Okay, time to rock the boat.. Skip to the end.

Sherry has been with Wesker since Claire and Leon departed. He suspects Birkin did something with/to his own daughter.

A- something lays dormant within her that he put there himself

B- the embryo William planted in his own daughter that was vaccinated while he was mutated, still likes within her tissues. Perhaps the G-virus or a mutation of it.

One thing is for sure. That is one bombshell of a plot device we have been waiting for since CVX.

Leon's been through a lot..surviving Racoon City, the incident in Europe with the Las Plagas, betrayal at the hands of Ada etc.


It doesn't really make sense for him to be terrified like he was in RE2, this is like comparing a new soldier to a war veteran, they might be upset by what they see and repulsed, but the reaction of Leon is logically different, this seems like a more natural revolution of a character.

I don't get why his reaction to zombies would be anything other than "let's do it."

I 'd be confused if he was like, "OMG what are we supposed to do?"



If it's any consolation, he seemed legit scared of a zombified president of the United States, they showed his more relatable human side mixed with his, I've done this before, let's get it attitude.

Then they should go with a completely new character if they want to go the horror route. I just don't feel it's going to be scary if you are being a character who's "done it all".

That's just how I feel.

Looks like this might the RE with least horror yet... but definitely strongest storyline.
Can't wait to play it online.

That is assuming this doesn't happen after RE5 which is very well a possibility at this point. If that really is Alex Wesker, Wesker could have had a full 2 years to find, kidnap and imprison Alex alongside Sherry. This means the BSAA could have caused the to be free through the anti-bioterrorism efforts. Or After Wesker's fall, there could have been commotion of some sort where they were being held, or an uprising. Or Ada and her organization, being a triple agent against Wesker. Could have had something to do with it.

They also need an explenation for some of these new viral mutations. A dormant G-Virus obtained from Sherry a perfect candidate.

Of coarse, all of this is speculation at this point. Capcom's stream goes like in 9 hours and they have already confirmed more RE6. I will be returning with more info.

I listened to her voice again. I sounds more like Sherry than it would Ashley. That is 100% not the same voice actor who portrayed Ashley. I would think they would have contacted her if it was really her. So I doubt it is Ashley.

In a nutshell. I am guessing 3 different stories over 3 different times in the lore, coming together at one point. But that is very much to speculate without more info.

The same sources that proved 100% on RE6 also said Ada was playable in the game.

Yeah not so much of a horror atmosphere, but it has the destruction of a zombie apocalypse perfectly captured.

This just actually got me excited with the multiple playable characters.

With both Leon and Chris involved in this game, the only thing that would totally sell me would be the presence of Jill and Ada. Hell, Ada doesn't even need to be there, just give me Jill and I'm happy.

Don't know how I feel about the trailer to be honest. It looks good but I'll need to see a lot more than that before I start to get excited.

I would wait a bit. Who know what is going to develop with the 3 retailer exclusives. And of coarse there will be a collectors edition.

The only retailer I would trust in the slightest right now is Gamestop. Remember all the bullshit Bestbuy and Amazon put people through with all the pre-order bonuses?

And it sorta looks like there are gonna b 2 scenarios, Leon's which is more like RE4, a little creepier and more survival oriented, and Chris's seems more action packed and more team oriented.

Not crazy that the keep pushing the series into action territory rather than horror. Oh well I'll still probably get just because Leon's in it and he's a BAMF.

Update: Capcom's Resident Evil 15th Anniversary Stream just concluded. Over at RelyOnHorror, we were doing our best to bring you good news. Staying ontop of the stream as well as having somebody at the event(I believe).
RE6- new info was given about the game with more still developing through translation. It would appear at this point, that Leon's mission will focus on horror elements where as Chris' mission will have more of a direct action approach. "Ashley" was mentioned several times (nice call Icebaby) today. Leading most to believe it is her. The third male was listed as "secret" which clearly means It is going to have some plot device, in my opinion.
My guess is either Alex Wesker as "alex" can be heard in the trailer. Or Steve Burnside.!spoiler>
RE:Chronicles HD collection was shown with a 2012 release window for PS3. Bringing Umbrella Chronicles as well as Darkside Chronicles to the PS3. Much like RE4 and RECVX was.

-Chris in China (action)
-The European dude and (I think) Ashley in the snow. (co-op)

wow! that trailer was impressive. to me 6 looks like an improvement to their previous series. the me lee combat, panic going around looks promising.
res.4 and 5 where less horror and more action based, but 6 seems to do more of both. i hope there are still some puzzels tho

The Presidents name has to be Graham, being Ashley's father. What kind of presidential family is broken up? And we know they are close, to some degree.

"Adam Graham" should be his presumed name. We see "President" up top. "Adam" there and another letter. Not a G for "Graham". now this is 100% a shot in the dark with no backup whatsoever other than it being featured on screen with the president. What if he is also one of the "wesker children"?

That could be a "W". Maybe Umbrella, Tricell or "the organization" had the Wesker children distributed in power positions throughout the world.

Anyways. It is worth our attention.
