I got lazy buying the opening day tickets for months but by some miracle the tickets still aren't sold out here.

Awesome. Unfortunately the same can't be said for where I live. Me and some friends tried to get tickets for opening night, but it was sold out . We did manage to get tickets for the 11pm showing Saturday night though. So at least we get to see it opening weekend. We actually a SW marathon the past few weekends watching the older movies.

Was hoping to see this with my friend, like we did for II & III, but I haven't seen him in a couple months. Thought he was heading west for more mechanic schoolin. Apperently he hasn't left yet or he's back already...

I have seen it. I will give no spoilers. I feel the need to process. I will say only 2 things-

1. It is good. To the degree, I must still process.

2. Feelings. My God the feelings. I wept for multiple different reasons throughout the film.

I saw the movie last night with some friend and....Holy F*cking shit!!!! The Force Awakens, is THE best Star Wars movie to date. I don't say that lightly either.

I'll try to not give any spoilers, and if i do please mod my post appropriately.

Abrams has done a fucking amazing job of introducing new characters, while advancing the story on old characters in such a way that it feels so organic, that nothing feels shoehorned the way the prequel trilogy did. It pays homage to the original trilogy, yet still tells an original story in such a way that it doesn't feel cliche, yet at the same time brings back such nostalgia.

It feels a little darker overall compared to any of the previous movies, but nothing feels out of place. Everything feels like it belongs.

Literally the 1st movie I may actually see multiple times in the theaters, I absolutely loved it that much.

I haven't seen it, but I've watched some peoples' spoiler vids.

How was the lensflare situation?

Everyone seems to like VII, with little to no complaints. Much, MUCH better than the prequel trilogy.
I agree Jar Jar was annoying as fuck, and my only other major gripe was the Grievous lightsaber fight.

I absolutely loved it

I really didn't have any issues with the lens flare. The lightsaber fights held their own , but nothing that really topped the qui gon/darth maul/obi wan fight IMO.

The best Star Wars movie since Revenge of the Sith.

I enjoyed episode seven. It had the exact same story beats as New Hope, but that's pretty much what I expected. Great acting, good special effects and action. Overall would recommend
