While wasting 5 precious seconds on thinking up this question, that answer came to mind. But then I wondered, do they actually mod him, or do they trust him enough to let him be (seeing as how they are probably too busy doing more important things than seeing how he's doing his job)?

P.S. Not that I care, but in case anybody wonders, I ain't hinting anything here. Just a legitimate thought that popped into my head.

The topic of CSI has made me think of my own somewhat morbid questions surrounding death:

Q: How long does one remain conscious before death after: 1) one of your major arteries is severed (ex. carotid in the neck, brachial in the wrist), or 2) you begin to drown (after taking in your first lungful of water)?

I think I can half-explain those events: For the severed artery, death is by exsanguination (bleeding out). Now whether or not this is complete exsanguination, I don't know. I think there are some twelve pints of blood in the average human body. But one of the variables would definitely be heart rate i.e. how fast blood is being pumped (out of the body).

As for the drowning scenario, I think I'd go back to my Rule of Twos: Two minutes without air. There's nothing really lethal about water itself, only that our lungs cannot extract oxygen from it.
