Hey guys have a question, love the newer updates at the bottom of the screen in multiplayer with your total kills.

Plus, wanted to ask you guys. In multiplayer(offline) with your friends etc how many kills have you had so far the highest in a match?


You know, sometimes I have the shittiest luck...I own with pikachu with 39 and one time 40 kills, yet come in second lol. My problem is endurance, If I can only last more often I'd win more. How about you guys? In a match what's the highest amount of kills you've ever gotten? Mine are 39 and 40.

lol, I always piss off my buds with pikachu and getting the most kills but I tend to come in second a lot....I have won though, quite a few times but one of my friends is really good with Snake, and another damn good with Jiggly puff.

How did you get 39 kills in one match? Was it time, or what? I usually play three stocks.

Also, here's some advice on how to fight Snake. If he's a smart player that uses Snake's weapons to trick you, find out how they do those little tricks, and exploit them. For instance, if he always drops a mine udner him whenever he's in the air, don't go under him! Instead, jump to his side and hit him with an aerial attack. If he's an idiot who just spams Snake's smashes, just dodge and slam him back! Easy win!

Also, MKF, try spamming Pika's thunder jolt attack if Snake is just waiting for you. Eventually he'll roll towards you. When he does, use your Down Smash to slam him! Then, if he flies above you, use thunder until he's gone! Pika is awesome at annoying opponents.

I used to use Captain Falcon in N64. Then in Melee I discovered that Ganondorf was amazing and slower and stronger which is my thing. Then in Brawl, Ganondorf was too slow and I started using Ike was my slow strong guy. :)

Today at a party I beat three people in a team battle. Them three against me. 5 stock. I was Ike and they were Snake, Peach, and I can't remember who else. I hate that I can beat people in person, but argh online you guys own me everytime.

melee i used link i think he was bottom tier then to because of his bad recovery which didn't bother me because i hadly was knocked off i also used D.K in melee

In brawl I can manage with any character.. But I am better with characters like Fox, Sonic, Snake, and Wario. I am decent with everyone else but I know how to fight almost perfectly with those 4 characters.

I tried playing as Yoshi and then I realized that I was actually not so bad with him.

I need to get better with Ness. What strategies should I use

And with Ness,what exactly are you having problems with? Well, I think I can help you out with a combo. Just use your PK Fire attack on an enemy. Walk up closer and use another PK Fire. Then, right away, slam 'em with your bat! Should deal pretty nice damage.

I am just having trouble using the recover move. I hit him but for some reason I seem to not be hitting him in the right place with it. I hit him from right under him, he goes up but not far. I think I need to hit him in the back so he gets launched forward back to the map.

Lucas is the excat same thing..... So I would have the same problems. lol.

I also need a good way to avoid attacks with Ness other than the bubble shield thingy. Jumping can work for a short time but then eventually people realize how to stop you and then just launch the projectile right on my way down so I get hit. I wish the PK fire would also go a longer distance.

Ohh believe me, I already mastered Pikachu hehe lol I spam his bolt A LOT and am hated for it, also so far when I went online at my buds house among using him full potential : ) but thanks for the Snake advice man, I'm getting better and better at avoiding his "special" with Pikachu his speed comes in very handy hehe as oppose to other characters that have more difficulty dodging his special. His pika charge is also great, when nailing someone off guard they go flying ha, ha. My friend isn't an idiot with games, so he won't fall for the second idea. He can play well with him without the specials, that's IMO how to tell if a SSBB player is really skilled or just relies on Smash balls.

There's also the fact that sometimes depending on the stage, Pikachu given his game with the bolt is at a disadvantage concerning platform levels or levels that change and he won't be able to get his bolt as effectively if a platform or something is blocking it, know what I mean, the most open arenas are Pika's best obviously but still I love baiting and nailing from each above, a tactic I love doing often is this...if I'm nailing/fighting someone on the corner of the stage, I'll spam the bolt timed properly so that my opponent can't get back literally lol. It's cheesy but very effective. The most difficult thing about Pikachu is obviously his special, controlling it. It's so easy to get the special every time by spamming the bolt it's not even funny ha, ha. My friends hate me for it....


Now concerning the 39 and 40 kills that I've only done once I assure you lol, we play with 5 or 10 in total lives since when we play it's 4 of us, not 2. So, to be more fair to everyone being that there's 4 of us in total. We rotate between 5-10 lives depending on the amount of players we have, sometimes it's just the 2 of us, 3 or 4.


We never play with time, personally we feel that timed matches isn't good because all you have to do is get a good streak and turtle all day....in a game like SSBB with constant action, we're not a big fan of that ya know? In a 2 fighter game like MK, SF, Tekken etc, different story because it's only two people. Sometimes depending we also might not play with specials occasionally, that makes it rather interesting too

I just play three stock all the time, with friends or just one on one. In a real one on one, I always take off items. With items off, you can't really decide who's the better smasher. 40 kills 10 stock isn't possible is it? lol.

I don't have much advice on Ness's recovery, but to dodge enemies, just roll or side step out of the way. I don't jump too much to avoid enemies. Then again, I don't play as Ness too often.

Also, Yoshi is the only character that can wavedash. Yay

Yea Not too many people like playing as Ness but I want to master each character. someone should make an FC topic.... I am still waiting to hook up my Wii to find the code.

Also, with DK, try to make your opponent come to you. Your moves have awesome range. Use your tilt attacks to back opponents off. And if you ever see them off the stage, go out there and try to spike them!

DK does not have one of the best recoveries. If the opponent is off the stage, and you think you can recover if you spike them, go for it! DK has a ton of spikes! And each one is strong as hell.

Yoshi doesn't suck, but alot of people think he does. imo, he's the most underrated character in the history of fighting games. The thing that puts off new players about him is his steep learning curve.

His infinite on Wario is grabbing him, chewing him until he released, and then quickly running behind Wario and pivot grabbing.

And playing online against anyone really isn't the best way to test your skills. There are sites where you can seek out one on one matches, there are online tourneys, and of course, Ladder Rankings.

The only hard thing to get are some of the trophies. The characters are very easy to get so that should be no problem....

hey subman, that mario cape thing really helped alot. i just got done playing doggy (you should fight him someday, he uses yoshi alot) and i totally annihilated him. he's the same guy that nearly had me at last years tournament, and i absolutely destroyed him in a 3 stock battle. he'd have only 20% damage, i'd knock him off the stage and do that cape dash and he'll float to his doom
