I just played the game yesterday, and yes i live in Britain. I twas at a friends house who imported it with freeloader, but the main point is i m very tempted to get a wii. Never in a million years would i have thought that sonic and snake would be amazing. I never got to play the Subspace emissary thing though :( but i seen the stage builder and by god many funny maps can be made. all in all it is one of the best games i have ever played.

You could set up a special Stamina Brawl with Lip's Sticks drainig health and giving everyone but yourself 1 HP.

Yeah, Pit is really good, I personally just don't think he's "cool", well not as cool as other Nintendo characters.

I can't believe how good I'm getting as Diddy, I used to suck as him but now he's my second best character (Dedede is still my best character). I'm glad that I'm getting good as Diddy since I personally think he's one of Nintendo's coolest characters ever (along with Dedede and Link).

Sometimes Game N Watch can be pretty hard to fight against especially if you're fighting in a very small stage and he gets the smash ball. Then, his octopus takes up the whole screen and it's pretty hard to avoid, the only good thing is that he moves slowly with it.

Other than that, most characters are pretty well balanced on this game, unlock on Melee when one character could completely demolish everyone. So, it's pretty much easy to win with anyone on Brawl, and that's a good thing because now people can actually pick their favorites and still have a chance of beating even the top tier characters.

ppl say that sonic is really weak but i dont think thats true,he has the best combo ability in the game.im REALLY good with ike and lucario....oh yeah and falco.

Of course, this is subject to change based on how tournaments work out. However, I can very easily confirm the StarFox characters, Marth, and Diddy being where they are, as none of them have really any huge flaws.

I think Diddy has excellent combos and enought tools to help him face any of the other characters.The only thing that I have yet to understand is:How do you use his U + B ?

Ganondorf isn't terrible;just slow.I'm more than decent with him,and from what I've seen;He's very good.

Same goes for Link;He's amazing if you can get him down.He has excellent 50/50s and plent of tools to help him in various situations.

I'd have to disagree with a few of those on the tier list (strictly based on my opinion and experience as playing as them and against them). I had to disagree with Link being so low on the tier list, he's a VERY good character, even his final smash is extremely good. Plus, he's a much better jumper on Brawl than he was on Melee, I can actually come back to the stage as him now! Plus, I think some of the other characters were off a little (all of this is strictly my opinion) but me, my brother, and our friends all tend to agree with this ranking that I made for the tiers. We've given every character a try in VS mode and we based this tier list on that (anyone feel free to disagree and change the list around). I also had to move some characters down based on how they play and how well they can actually win fights (for example, I had to move Diddy down a few because yes he is good, but he's not perfect. Diddy is way too light, I'm always killed when I play as him even if I have 60% so this lowered his standings on the tier list. Yes, he's still good, and he's one of my best characters once I learned how to use him, but he's nowhere near as good as other characters, in my opinion, plus not to mention the fact that his down + B and his foward + B special moves are almost completely useless while other characters have really good moves for all four of their special moves such as Pit, Marth and Lucario):

That's the way I see the tier lists based upon the how well the character can fight and utilize their moves and whether or not their moves are actually useful or not. Speed didn't really play a part in my decisions of these rankings since characters like King Dedede are REALLY slow and heavy yet also REALLY good and powerful. I tried to look at the character as whole, rather than speed, agility, power, etc.

Whaever. I'm just surprised you guys think Yoshi is bottom tier. He's been buffed up in this game.

Yoshi has only been buffed in that it's harder to knock him out.

I also stand by my list. Tier lists aren't about who's good or not, it's relative to the other characters, and lower tier characters like Link have a lot of exploitable weaknesses.

First of all, Yoshi has been buffed with a new recovery, better Forward B, his bair has better reach, his dair can easily rack up damage, his grab is faster, and I think he falls faster

Also, there is no way to make a tier list right now until all the charaters have been properly tested. Are you saying that you tested all of those character's attacks, the amount of frames each attack has, the lag after each blow, he start up lag etc? I highly doubt it. So right now, I don't think that a tier list is possible to make until each character has been tested.

Sorry if I sounded like a douche during that rant

Also, putting Final Smashes in the formula of creating a tier list is silly. I am pretty sure they will be banned in tournaments because they are items, and can easily change the tide of battle without using a player's skill.

If I had factored in Final Smashes, Diddy wouldn't be at the top. His FS it far too sporadic. The only reason I use God Tier is because those characters really are a step above the one below. The three StarFox characters would shoot up in Final Smashes were factored in, because they just control the fight once activated.

And I never said that I playtested every single character, but I had found some preliminary lists and was adjusting certain characters up or down based on whether I felt the accuracy was there.

DI is Directional Influence. You know how some characters have the move where if you hold the A button, your character continues a rapid attack? And if you're caught in it, and tilt your control stick a certain way, you can influence the direction you are going in to try to escape

For instance, I'm Lucario and someone else is Kirby. If Kirby traps me in his Standard A attack I can DI out of it by tilting my control stick in a certain direction. Hope this helps
