Am I the only one having trouble getting 10 kills in Cruel Brawl? I spam Ike's Aether while edgeguarding, and only got like four kills! Is Kirby any better at this?

Right, I said that IF I had factored in Final Smashes, the list would be different.

Anyway, haven't tried Cruel Brawl, can't help you there. DK's Down + B always works for me in the other multi-man brawls.

I don't believe Pikachu is a low or bottom tier, he has certain edges over lots of other characters such as the following:

A.Faster then most characters and can evade LOTS of shit

B.His bolt move you can spam often and if anyones near him not only does that move protect him and makes it tough to get close to him but also does damage at the same time, so it's an "offensive-defensive move" which very few moves in the game do since most attacks are either "offense" or "defense"

C.He's one of the best characters in the game for getting back on land and can escape lots of Specials such as Snakes for example with his target on(for most characters tough to escape but pikachu can move let me tell ya)

Also, another key element about pikachu that I found out on day one playing the game....

Well, Final Smashes won't be in play during tournaments, and I believe they've nerfed Pikachu's recovery a bit. It's still solid, but nowhere near the one he had in Melee. Otherwise I pretty much agree with you, Pikachu is mid at the very least.

MKF, you're right. Pika is a beast on the field. I love his down smash. Great to rack up some damage, and is fast to activate. I still don't know why he is low tier in Melee.

Also, I got enough kills to get the challenges for Cruel Brawl. Kirby plus Aether wannabe is win and win

Now I'm stuck on getting the boss trophies. I only got Rayquaza so far, but I'm still trying. It's a lot harder on intense to fight these things, and the trophy stands still rarely appear with the difficulty and stickers! Still, Rayquaza looks good as a trophy

Also, I was able to get 7 kills with Captain Falcon on Cruel Brawl. I just kept hanging from the edge and jumping back and the enemy eventually kills themselves on accident.

Aether is Ike's Special Skill in Fire Emblem, and his Up b move in this game

Also, I got 11 with Kirby

The best I've done so far is with Link. As Link I've gotten 10 kills and with Dedede I've gotten 6 kills.

cruel brawl is pretty hard i can only do like 4 kills...help please?

My friend is already bored of Brawl?What am I missing....

What I did in Cruel Brawl as Link was use his foward smash attack because he strikes twice, once when you press foward + A and another time when you press A again so I was able to take out enemies using that move over and over again, along with his spin attack. I also have to continue to evade by rolling around on the ground whenever they get too close for comfort and then I like to dash attack into them. The strategy kind of varies by character but as long as you find a move that works well and continue to evade the enemies it's not too bad but it is still hard!

M0s and Subman, yep you bet guys. I totally agree, lol it's amazing Pikachu's recovery I thought was a bit nerfed(tweaked) and he's still very good.

Hey subman, he's a low tier in Melee? He does seem better in Brawl though for some reason. Maybe it's the special move that helps everyone and he can snatch it easily.


M0s, you do bring up a good point with no special's in tournaments(some anyway) I'm sure with a game like this, you can have many kinds of tournaments say items, no items, specials, no specials etc I think no specials makes it more challenging for everyone involved for sure.

Those are the two clone like characters right? Similar moves, just one is more powerful then the other.

I'm pretty sure there are no clones in this game. The Star Fox characters are very different in style. Comparing Wolf and fox is like omparing Donkey Kong and Diddy. Ness and Lucas are different. Captain Falcon and Gannondorf? Don't get me started.

Also, I beat Bos sBattle on Very Hard with Charizard! His Rock Smash takes like half of Crazy Hands health! Now onto intense

Oh my God this game is AMAZING. I'm so fucking glad that they got rid of the clone characters(Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy) or changed their movesets so that they're not clones anymore(Ganondorf, Falco). Only thing that sucks is that Mewtwo is gone and he was my best character in Melee. King Dedede, Pokemon Trainer(squirtle, charizard), and Pit are amazing. I became pretty good with them. I just wish I had the time to play it, thats the reason I haven't bought a Wii

Someone tell me what the Fire Emblem character special stance do or Peach's Toad move. And > think Wolf's over b move is terrible because of the angle it launches him.

Ness and Lucas to me are boarderline clone characters, very similar but one is definitely more powerful then the other.

Kind of reminds me of Dr. Mario and Mario in Melee a little bit

Personally I would love see more trophies that are from previous generations. It seems they focus more on the last generation and this generation, for example, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.
