Keep preaching my friend. Even throwing in 2 new characters fucks up the balance, adding an entire 8 really changes everything. Look at Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection. It added Armor King, Lili, and Dragunov and every character (except for Steve who ironically needed to be nerfed badly) was tweaked.

I fail to understand how a character that plays the way that Steve Fox does manages to be top tier every time out.

It depends on their defensive and offensive options.
If he is fast enough to counter a high number of attacks
He can launch and be safe on block
Has high damage combos from an easy starter
etc.
Things like that can make a character over powered.
They can have just one or two attacks, and if they are strong enough in what ever way, that character can be over powered.

street fighter has never been about the story.
If you expect a sf game to actually implement a story well, or even at all within the game then you arent looking at sf for what it is.

Exactly.
The only problem with SSF4 is that its not being released in arcades, which means the Japanese might not get on it to its fullest extent.
Competition is the most important part of sf.

If this game isn't severely broken I'll eat my dick.

Well, the arcade version never got a home release. We got the extended port with the added characters, and they were more balanced than the arcade characters (more than Ken, Zangief, and Sagat). The added characters were never arcade-tested, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Also, arcade testing is never a guarantee when it comes to making fighters less broken. Look at MVC2. That's easily the king of wrecked fighting games.

SF2 bonus stages are back
New India stage looks awesome

I could care less about Street Fighter Alpha's characters (or in this case Final Fight characters). While it's rumored there might be a few SFIII characters (Ibuki and Dudley), the game won't likely get the best character ever.
.... you know I'm talking about Skullomania!
I'm still undecided about this "new" game. I've made scarely any progress in Street Fighter IV as it is (damn those combo trials!) and I keep losing in that challenge stage where you can't use super moves (hence no Zangief lariat spamming), so I'm stuck in a muck of "eh, the online can be fun", though I've yet to get a perfect either (screw you, chip damage!).
So I'm not sure it makes sense to invest in a whole "new" game that's an update for a game I haven't done much in already.

welp, Cody, Guy and Adon have been confirmed over at IGN. Also, Shoryuken.com confirms Ibuki. So far, the rumor looks to be true

Yeah seriously the prison outfit is getting REALLY fucking old. I hated it in Alpha 3 and I still hate it now. Just give him a white t-shirt and jeans like in Final Fight and be fucking done with it. Hopefully they do just that with his alternate.

... and charge you $5.
I gotta say, if they're going to charge again for costumes already on the disc I'm going to be exceptionally pissed off. Hopefully that won't be the case, but it's certainly happened before.
Well, it's a bad idea to *not* have costumes on the disc, as the people who don't have them would have to download them online each time they play someone who does.
Same with downloadable characters. This is why Vader and Yoda were already on the different Soul Calibur 4 discs. Otherwise, they'd have to split the matchmaking between those that have the DLC and those who don't.

What I think of Super Street Fighter IV? The Return of DeeJay And T.Hawk. Wow. Personally I don't care about Street Fighter, but the guy who plays Cody (who played Darkseid on STAS) going to be on there. All I can say is, Go luck Street Fighter.

But it doesn't make sense. Cody busted out of prison prior to SF2 since that's when the Alpha games take place. SFIV takes place after SF2. Has he really been running around in stripped pajamas for that long? Really? Yeah, Cody is addicted to fighting and he welcomes any fight but you'd think he'd at least TRY to give himself a low profile. Yet here he is STILL wearing prison clothes.
Granted maybe he was caught by the police and went back to prison and busted out again. That's kind of lame if that's the case.

Cody is more recognizable in his prison outfit. That's why he has it.

So he's more recognizable in his prison outfit when he looked like this in every other game he had ever been in prior to Alpha 3?

Really? Maybe it's because I played Final Fight as a kid but when I think of Cody I think of him as he was in Final Fight.
