Has there been any word on how many time release characters there will be? There's what 20 to start off with? I'm guessing it won't be more than that equivalent. Maybe they'll pull a Tekken 4 and have established characters like Lei, Nina, Julia and Jin show up eventually.

Do the Tekken and SoulCailbur teams have people that work on both series? Some of the character designs look like they belong in SoulCalibur as well Tekken in my opinion.

The new characters are okay in my opinion. I do not like the cat paws Chloe is wearing but everything else is okay. She looks better than Claudio in my opinion.

Shaheen looks too typical for me. Nothing really stands out about him for me.

Somebody needs to at least mention Tekken 2 and Tekken 4. (Done!)

Apparently Kazumi is the final boss. In the first round she's normal and has a pet tiger she uses as a projectile and is said to have a lot of Mishima style moves. If you beat her then she transforms into a demonic version and her dress turns black and and grows wings. She has multiple laser moves as well. Unfortunately there's no video of her. Heihachi and Kazumi boss fights Unfortunately it's on super easy mode so there's not a whole lot of offense from the computer.

Kazumi looks fucking awesome. I love that stage, and her fire wings look great. I'm glad the boss doesn't take up half the screen.

Personally, they both look fantastic.

That Jin design is curious. It'll take getting used to. But happy to see my boy back. Meh on Devil Jin.

Here's a 5 hour video that player Knee streamed a few days ago. We can finally hear clear versions of the themes in each stage. The volcano one starts at about 52:21. That theme is AMAZING, it's not the same one when you fight Kazumi. I loving the Mishima Dojo stage theme as well

That's about the only thing I like right now for 7. The new characters, Kazumi's Devil Form, The Leaked characters, DJ being back once again and unchanged in look, Shaheen's moveset.

Just more and more negative things to say about it as time goes on.

I can't be the only one who thinks the big dude looks like Bane from The Batman.

For me Tekken died in 5, after that the series as dowgraded beyond saving. If you look at Tekken 2 and 3, and then at 6, 7 and Tag Tournament 2 you will never think they are of the series.

Since Tekken 6 the series has become more and more like an anime, the new characters are all terrible, the older characters are at the tournament always for the same reasons. The graphics look always the same, and the in game models are reused every new game.

Tekken 7 is lacking a lot of the older characters like Nina, Yoshimitsu, Anna, Jin, Jun, Kunimitsu and a few others.

I will buy it only when the price drops.

I feel like you can say that about any long running series. Especially Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat. It's just evolution.

It has become more anime like, but this is the same series where you have fighting bears and kangaroos. It's always been anime in that sense. I've come to the conclusion that if you're not a Mishima or Jin, then your story will never have proper resolution. Except for Zafina, for that reason I don't see her coming back.

That is actually something even Tekken fans are upset about. The intro and outro animations are the same since Tekken 5. The costumes never really change and neither do the voices. I always took MK's constantly changing costumes for granted, now I see why it's good.

And the classics are coming. I don't even have to say it. They'll never make a Tekken without Nina or Yoshi. It'll never happen. So they are coming, rest assured. Jun is curious because she's been requested so much and is still alive in the canon. Kuni only shows up in Tag games along with Ogre unfortunately.

You keep using that argument but the problem is unlike Roger, Kuma and Mokujin it's MK9 in how "too much" the designs/new characters are.

I mean look at Jin's new outfit I can tell they were going for a T4 vibe but they overdid it.

If Zafina doesnt make it to T7, Im gonna be pissed livid. I fucking love Zafina.
