Tekken really doesn't need to have super arts, especially since it's a very momentum-based fighting game. That player was going "WTF?" in his playing experience.

People are saying her new face looks weird. It's kinda true but I won't judge the models themselves until we see the final build.

Speaking about the story for a moment. I really hope Tekken 7 acknowledges who won Tekken 6. Since we never see the tournament, we don't know who won. All we saw was Lars and Alisa aimlessly wandering around beating people up.

The girls' faces all look very weird. Azuka look VERY anime this time around.

I just think she looks like she would fit in the old Dead or Alive games (before DoA5) more than Tekken. But it generally seems like the female characters have been anime-fied. :/



Even Lili looks like she's gotten anime eyes. And Xianghua looks like she's got a baby face now.

Hopefully, when we see the new renders, it won't be the case.

I think it's way too early to judge the characters. This is some pre-alpha stuff.

IIRC they're only using 50% of the actual graphics and whatnot.

They remodeled the characters to look more anime in the last Tekken game, Revolution. I hated it. Check out the comparison pictures:

I never played Revolution... damn, it seems like they are anime-fying Tekken after all. :/

What are people's thoughts on this game now that you have seen gameplay?

I have never played single Tekken game in my life so I am thinking this will be the first to play it since fighting games for the next generation consoles is limited at this time.

Love to read some thoughts on what everyone thinks especially long time fans.

Well, it's Tekken as Tekken is. Not much of a difference from past games, except the whole Rage Super Move. That's new. Reminds me of Desperation moves from Toshinden.

I got my Asuka and Lars, pretty much all I care about.

I just need Jin then the roster is complete.
(They better add Jun dammit)

As a long time Tekken fan, I'm very excited for Tekken 7. The gameplay has never looked more crisp and smooth than it does now.

Lots of hardcore Tekken fans are throwing in the towel because of the Rage Arts, but they hate change of any kind so whatever. I'm happy Bounds are gone for the most part. Now people will have to actually change how they play instead of going from Tekken 6 into Tekken Tag 2 doing the exact same juggles.

I think if this is your first Tekken, it is the best time to start. This one looks like it will try to cater to beginners. But Tekken has a notoriously steep learning curve. It takes years to get "really good" but it can be fun nonetheless.

So far I'm missing Jin, Miguel, Armor King, Kuma, and Bob. But at least I have my girl Ling.

Welp I have been a fan since Tekken 2 and this game looks good so far and it's only in the alpha stage.
The gameplay looks way more fluid and smooth and the graphics so far are good even though they're using 50% of the graphical power at the moment.
Like what Lao said, people are butthurt because of the new changes and just like Republicans, they hate change. They will most likely change some shit up compared to Tekken 6 and the like.

I got my girl Xiao in so I'm damn happy about that. I just need Jin and I'm complete.

If this is your first time get it bud c: Tekken has a notorious learning curve but please don't let that turn you off. There are some beginner friendly characters to help you ease in the game like Catalina.
