Yeah I think your right. Because I'm sure you know me well enough from my posts on this board to tell I am not typical, either in my likes, my thinking, or my personality. That makes girls run away from you like your a bomb in High School, but when you get to college age it attracts them like flies to shit, does it not? Or am I incorrect in assuming this?

Nope, never had one (and TinMan2005, if it makes you feel any better, I'm 19 and about to enter my sophomore year of college). I'm pretty shy, but I've gotten better. In high school there was a girl I liked from freshman till junior year, and I know for a fact that she (at least at one point) liked me, but I was always too shy to ask her out (or even talk to her, at least until junior year), plus when she liked me I though she had a boyfriend. My chances with her are definitely gone, since she dropped out halfway into junior year because she got pregnant; I haven't seen her in over a year, but last time we spoke she'd had the baby already, and was engaged to the father.

Since I got to college, I've asked two girls out. One already had a boyfriend (which she hadn't told me, though we'd been friends for a couple monthsprior), but we maintained our friendship until her bf saw me trying to talk to her, and threatened me; from then on he was almost always with her (although he doesn't go to college with us), and she hasn't talked to me since. If next semester her bf isn't around, and she tries to become friends with me again, I don't think I'd even want to. She showed me what I mean to her: nothing.

Anyway, with the other girl, she said she had too much going on in her life at the time. While there may have been truth to this, I now know that it was a bullshit line, because I asked for her screen name, and after I talked to her once, she blocked me. I made a new sn to get around it, and she said that I scared her (I guess I came on too strong), and told me to leave her alone.

There was also a girl I met in my summer course (which I took at a closer, cheaper school to make up for only being able to get into two courses the past semester) that I liked, and became friends with, and I told her I liked her, but that was after she mentioned that she had a boyfriend. She didn't have a problem with me liking her; I think she thought it was cute. Unfortunately I haven't seen or talked to her since the end of the course; she said she almost never goes online, and, although she said she worked at Hot Topic at a nearby mall, she said she was planning to quit soon, and I haven't gotten my lazy ass over to Hot Topic since then anyway.

So, in short, I have a shitty track record with girls since I'm shy and don't have a social life, but at least now I have the balls to ask them out.

Yup, I finally lucked out and found my girl^_^
And I met her online, so that is something to think about. Last place I would have ever expected to find her.

my girlfriend is a 5'7'' filipina. She doesn't look flip though because she has a bridged nose. She is a cross between Hale Berry and Selma Blair. Skinny too. You see, you look like you're a clever guy. You're interested in stuff other than sports and you actually seem to have interest in something usefull to society. That is precisely the reason why you don't have a girlfriend because I almost fit your description (at least I did when I was 15 of course, which was longer ago than I would like to think it is). 15 year-old girls don't like normal people, they like 6 foot tall guys who play sports and look good although they can't articulate two sentences that are logically connected in any way imaginable. It's just the way it is...

Don't worry or panic for not getting a girlfriend at 15. I had my first girlfriend when I was 18 and I must say starting late paid off. Actually I'm with my seventh relationship (it's really just the fourth serious one) and it's been lasting for 2 and a half years and I have no complaints at all.

Bottom line: don't panic, everybody finds a love interest eventually.

I have one, and we've been dating for over a year now. We're two years apart, and my parents think that we're too young, but we have so much in common.

For the guys who needed/need advice, take it from a nerd like me; college/CEGEP is a great place to meet new people. You'll find a lot more members of the opposite sex who have common interests with you than you will in high school, trust me. Also, in the final year of high school, people tend to wisen up and become a lot nicer than they used to be (at least that's what happened in my school), so who knows? Your last year might be your lucky one.

I don't have a girlfriend because and I'm not afraid to say it, I am a jerk. I am really insecure, and strong women scare me. But I need one damnit. I can't last much longer.
